I used to get them too. Your subconscious clicks into your fear of dentists, or if you know you have messed up teeth and pairs it up with your stress that stems from your general anxiety, or from something youve done in the recent past
It would be the only dreams I would get for a really long time while I was depressed. They really got bad after a 3 week long insomnia stint I had. they dont have to just fall out, they can chip out, your gums could rot away, or, in most of my dreams, parts of my whole jaw would break off, with all the blood, shock, and pain that you would associate with it in real life (I have absolutely no idea how I would know in my dream what it would feel like, but it feels pretty damn accurate, right down to the "you kinda dont feel it at first" shock/adrenaline feeling"), with "YOU FUCKED UP" repeating itself in the background, before i woke up.
I wasnt able to sleep for a week after that. Gee, you think my dream was trying to tell me something?
