Sup Sup Forums, I'm about to eat some extremely potent psychedelic mushroom chocolates and I want to watch a truly terrifying horror movie. I've been looking at all the options available for streaming (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu) and all the horror movies are dogshit. Can anyone recommend me something that's going to make me hide in a closet with a gun while shitting my pants? It doesn't have to be supernatural. I really enjoy stuff like Green Room, high intensity shit. Tense thrillers or mysteries are welcome too, I guess. Help a nigger out.

Seen Babadook already, it was alright. All the hype around it made me think it was going to be GOAT.

My favorites are Ringu, Blair Witch Project, Sixth Sense, Tetsuo the Iron Man, A Serbian Film, Green Room.

the babadook is the most legitimately scary movie I've seen. There is a very deep psychological metaphor at play, it is a slow burning psychological horror that will make you question your sanity and be convinced that the babadook is something very real and attached to you. I do not reccomend to watch this movie on psychedelics though, you could be severely fucked up for life

Seen all those. Why Enter the Void, Scanner Darkly, and Waking Life? odd choices

Frankly, the most lasting impressions I had from watching movies while high on shrooms or LSD were not from horror movies.

Here are my suggestions :
Enter the void - filmed from 1st person view. The main character is high at the begining, so the backgrounds are all trippy. 2 minutes in, and you feel like you are inside the movie, living it yourself. The scene where someone gets shot is extremely traumatizing. I was so into the movie that I started yelling and checking my body for bullet holes.

Irreversible - a french film, filmed starting by the end of the movie. There several extremely claustrophobic / violent scenes (2 minutes of a guy smashing the head of another guy with an extinguisher, Monica Belucci getting raped for a good 3 minutes, ...). Also, the soundtrack will absolutely fuck your mind.

A woman, Mother Earth, emerges from its remains, brings the dead body to arousal, and inseminates herself with its semen. Becoming pregnant, she wanders off into a vast and barren landscape. The pregnancy manifests in a fully grown convulsing man whom she leaves to his own devices.

The "Son of Earth" meets a group of faceless nomads who seize him with what is either a very long umbilical cord or a rope. The Son of Earth vomits organic pieces, and the nomads excitedly accept these as gifts. The nomads finally bring the man to a fire and burn him. "Mother Earth" encounters the resurrected man and comforts him. She seizes the man with a similar umbilical cord. The nomads appear and proceed to rape her. Son of Earth is left to mourn over the lifeless body.

A group of characters appear and carry Mother Earth to another place, where they dismember her, later returning for Son of Earth. After he, too, is dismembered, the group buries the remains, planting the parts into the crust of the earth. The burial site becomes lush with flowers. Grainy photographs of God Killing Himself are shown. In a final scene, "Mother Earth" and "Son of Earth" are seen again in a flashback, this time wandering through a forest.

No problem. Shrooms are fantastic. I tried to cater to what i would want to see while tripping. Eraserhead will str8 up give you a bad trip. Not to shit on other people but the other movies suggested wont do much for you.
