Tfw smoking 75 cigarettes a day

>tfw smoking 75 cigarettes a day
anyone here managed to quit smoking cigarettes?

I was at 1.5 packs a day for about 8 years. Desperately wanted to quit but nothing worked, not the patch, gum, cold turkey, even hypnotism.

Finally broke down and got an e-cig, even though everyone who doesn't use them calls the people who do douchebags and shit. But that's the only thing that helped me quit.

Tapered down the nicotine level to 1.5mg (the lowest level) over time and eventually stopped even vaping except for the occasional time when I have a nicotine craving. Haven't had a cigarette in 2 years.

Give it a shot.

inb4willpowerfags. fuck all of you hypocritesin advance

I quit for a week, just because I had a football game to play

How the fuck is that even possible? You're disgusting.

i smoke around 40 a day, want to quit. dont have the balls to

Takes about 5 minutes to smoke a cig if you're a quick smoker. 75 cigarettes per day means you spend 6.25 hours per day with a cigarette in your mouth.

Average cost of a pack of smokes in the US is around $6 (if you're lucky enough to live in a state with low taxes). So let's say 30 cents per cigarette. You're smoking an average of $22.50 worth of cigarettes per day. That's $157.50 per week, $630 per month, $7,560 per year.

Jesus Christ - just speed up the process and kill yourself.

Cancer

75? Jesus Christ.

How in the hell do you smoke 4 packs a day? I smoke like, 15 on a really bad day. Rolling hard the most I've managed in one sitting was 3 packs of black american spirits over about a day. I was so fucking ill afterwards... perhaps not from the cigarettes, but I'm all but certain they had a hand in it

I am quitting in about a month, day after my birthday. I'm turning into an old man and now is the time to start making positive choices.

GL with the cancer OP

Try the 22mg bandage. Maybe lower.

I was at 3,5-4 packs a Day some years ago... It helped a lot. I managed it for 8 months, then some shit happened tho.

E-sigs is Also a okay choice. It just takes a while to get used to.

I quit with a vape too. Smoked my last cigarette on New Year's Eve last year and haven't had one since.

Hail Satan +1

Fucking czech'd

Nice doubles

Checked

Holy shit checked. 100% confirmed OP is dying of cancer. Tomorrow.

One important thing though... You need to know you want to stop. Else it wont do you any good.

>The morning cig was the hardest to let go, imo.

your gonna get punched in the face by the long dick of cancer

yep took me 3 years In Australia we get 1, 3month course every year... tried patches twice, no good, finally tried Champix they worked in 2 months

1-2 packs a day for 15 years. Just quit a month ago and it was insanely easy.

Took Welbutrin for 2 weeks, ramped up from 1 pill a day for a week to 2 pills a day and then quit. The day of quitting I just made a conscious decision to walk past the gas station and not stop to buy cigs. Instead I went to work and just focused on work for the day.

After day 1 I was still thinking about smoking, but only in the academic sense... like, "hey, I don't even really want a cig right now how cool is that?"

After day 2 I wasn't even thinking about smoking at all. A month in and I feel fine, don't think I'll ever smoke another cig. I did smoke some weed on the nights when I was really stressed, which I think helped, but definitely no nicotine.

I don't think nicotine replacements work very well, because the real issue is nicotine addiction, not smoking. Being addicted to a vape might be healthier, but it's still money wasted and means you're an addict.

Morning cigarette always brings down my mood, for whatever reason. Even with coffee

I feel 10x better if I hold out until after lunch to burn one

liek itz zo eazy

YOU'RE KILLING THE NARRATIVE

lol you've only been "quit" for a month. You know how many times my smoking friends/family members "quit" for one month to 6 months to a year, only to smoke again?

You think you're out of the woods - I'd bet my life savings you'll be back at it before the year ends.

I got really sick a month ago and quit doing it all together for a long time

Now I just kind of do it on the weekends if I go to a party or something.

Smoking is bad for health.

Yea but I only smoked for 2 years and only like 2 a day. Most I smoked in a day was like 5 but I felt like shit. Also cigarettes never stopped giving me the head spins

Yes. I quit by switching to vaping. Then I quit vaping (which is a lot less addictive than smoking). I am now nicotine-free.

smoking coke. depressed as fuck

quit smoking after 35 years of pack a day or more

Chantix.

switched to vaping 2 years ago. transition was fairly easy really. 1.5 pack a day down to 5 smokes a day immediately. 2 months later and i bought my last pack. 2 years later and i still vape 3 mg, and i vape wayyyy too much tbh. but it still ends up being cheaper and i feel way better.

watching my grandfather, my mother and my girlfriend's aunt all die from smoking also helped

I quit almost 16 years ago. To this day, I still don't really know what possessed me to quit....a wild hair up my ass maybe....I don't know. I averaged 1 1/2 to 2 packs a day roughly 25 years. I frequently have dreams in which I'm smoking a cigarette as if I never quit.

Have some willpower and simply quit smoking. Are you such a mentally enslaved liberal that you cant even stop smoking something that has been proven to give you CANCER?
Quitting will make you feel better. Every time you think of smoking you do 15 push ups. And dont be a bitch faggot. Do it. Have some willpoweer faggot. You might not be a loser after all

People only get addicted when they're lonely

find some connection lol

If you can get them

Psychedelics are a wonder drug for breaking habits / becoming healthier

OP confirmed for cancer

Its easy to quit smoking
Quit porn its way harder if you really want to become zenmaster of the 4th reich

Been off cigs for almost a year now because of an expensive e-cig I got after the doucheflute memes died down.
Never going back to cigs, user.
Pay top $$$ for a kit and coils on eBay and buy some heavy duty hardware store batteries for it. I spend less money on blowing flavored wizard virgin mist that gets my face numb than I ever did with cigs.
>pros:
-(You) CAN get a nicotine buzz
-doesn't ruin your sense of taste or smell
-you don't smell like shit
-millions of flavors to pick from
-best 'smoke' rings ever blowed

>cons:
-you will not get any pussy (this may not have changed for most of you)
-does not cut off your oxygen like a cigarette (no shitting your pants moments like when you have coffee with your cig)
-low quality e-juice will make you want to kill yourself
-you will start vaping indoors and not be able to see your floors

E V I L

Was at a pack or so a day for many years. Started weaning off with vape. Using a juul right now, haven't touched a cigarette for months, no urge to either. Whatever you gotta do to quit, do it

...

Don't worry. You'll quit soon when it kills you.

I did. Pack a day, every day for 15 years.

Use nicotine replacement therapy lozenges. Stopped smoking. Tapered off the high strength to low dose and then stopped.

If I can do it anyone can.

I knew I had to quit when I found myself smoking in the shower.

>people are STILL replying to this genuinely. Fuck Me.

...

>quit nicotine cold turkey 2 years ago
>no smokes, no dip, no cigars, no patches
>started dipping again a month later
>quit again after about 9 months
>chewed gum and patches
>picked up dipping again after i gained weight
>dipped half a can a day for like 6 months
>quit cold turkey again
>6 months and 40 pound weight gain
>started dipping again about a month ago
>already lost 12 pounds
i can't shake nicotine; it really helps me curve my appetite. i don't like the idea of carrying around another thing that weighs 2 pounds in my pocket all the time, so no e-cigs. chewing gum all the time just made me feel hungry. i'll just dip and keep mouthwash handy until my jaw falls off.
