How old are you and what's your favorite movie oldfags?

27 here

I'm one of those fags who can never decide on one favourite movie

truman show, miller's crossing, bad lieutenant with nic cage, bringing out the dead, memories of a murder, drive, and more recently world of kanako are just 7 that I can think of off the top of my head that I can't decide between.

That sentence rustled me

Watch this:
Tokyo Drifter

Do you like that list better?
Did you even catch how I categorized the movies in my original post?

And they're all better than any movie you listed besides American Beauty

>Brotherhood of the Wolf over After Hours
>Holy Mountain over Santa Sangre

Were your freshman film class impressed when you revealed that movies were made in other countries and before 1990?

I like how you didn't mentioned trading places vs airplane!, which was complete bait because I think Trading Places is pretty overrated

In general it wasn't that I dislike the movies I posted, but they're all very expected. I should've replaced Trading Places with Putney Swope for extra tryhard points

just like music of vidya it is hard to say which one ifs your favourite

31

Sticksmen
beautiful mind
fight club
K-pax
12 monkeys

Fuck, Putney Swope, been a while since I saw that name. You're right that it would have fit well. Remember that, along with The Holy Mountain, actually, was one of my first "I think I understand this, no one's heard of this, fuck I'm so cool and clever" movies

27 here my favorite movie is Salò by Pier Paolo Pasolini

34

dr strangelove

35

TMNT 1990

Midnight in Paris
Big trouble in little China

I don't know which one I like the best. I just turned 28

Does anyone here regret the swift demise of /film/?

47
Spring Breakers

>nobody has mentioned Heat
I'm 28 and you should all kys

All the oldfags are patricians. We should have 'adult swim' days where anyone under 25 isn't allowed to post. I guarantee the board would be as good as it was ~7 years ago in a matter of hours.

Hey I just turned 27 today!

46

Better off dead

how do you feel that Fury Road made this movie obsolete?

27

The Wild Bunch, The Steel Helmet, Robocop, Taxi Driver, The Road Warrior, The Apartment,

26 here

O Brother Where Art Thou

How do you oldfags have a favorite movie?

Movies aren't candy bars, picking one makes no sense. Especially when you've seen thousands and endeavor to see thousands more.

30, holy fuck, I came to Sup Forums as a college student.

I don't know. I really don't have one.

5th Element, The Dueliests, Kingdom of Heaven (DC), Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan, Star Wars OT, The Santa Clause 2 are some I can think of off the top of my head.

There are good movies and there are good/fun movies you keep coming bacb to, no?

what are you even talking about? You can have a favorite even if you haven't seen every movie

32
Gummo
Been on Sup Forums since its first year, I'm starting to worry because I spend more time on it now than I did back then.

33
Repo Man

I know you can have a favorite movie, it just seems childish. So what's the point of having a oldfag thread to talk about favorite movies like they're ice cream flavors.

>I know you can have a favorite movie, it just seems childish.

>oldfag thread
>fedora memes circa 2014

Maybe oldfags are just as cancerous as everyone else

29

O Brother, Where Art Thou?

95

Borat

you don't make any sense

isn't today your first day of school?

27

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World

I-is 27 old now?

For Sup Forums standards, yes

No, this can't be happening

27. Civil War

I'm sorry user

>27
Odd number to pick.
26 anyway, Die Hard.

Probably because OP is 27 and feels that his age is the exact cutoff for youngfags and oldfags

If he had said 25, or 30, fine, fair enough, but 27 is such a weird choice. You're right, he must be 27.

27, Amadeus.

29
The Thing (Carpenter)

>19
Jarhead

Lot of '89 people here, best generation Tbh

27 - 2 months

Miami Vice

32

Dr. Strangelove

Is that really being old?

Damm and here i thought i still had a future ahead of me.

27, turning 28 in november.

Aniways my favs are JAWS 1&2, The Thing (JC), Event Horizon and the Dark Knight.

We got around ten more years of the good stuff. After that comes middle age and getting older, all of which sucks balls probably.

I'm 32 actually and 27 was basically a random number. I could have just said 30+ but that would have excluded a lot of people, so I said whatever 27. Doesn't matter anyway since there are plenty of people under that posting.

Well at least you are never old enough to watch movies.

Even easier now that cinemas are dying.

True that. Enjoyed the Neon Demon in a nearly empty theater the other day, comfy af.

what age is too old to be on Sup Forums? i feel like i should get off here in a few years tbqh

There's people of all ages, this is a pretty big site (4U).

We're the first generation to grow old with the internet. There is never going to be a point that is "too old for Sup Forums". Things are going to be vastly different for elderly people in 20-30 years than they are now so if posting on this dumb site makes you happy who cares how old you are.

>elderly people being proficient at shitposting
an abstract kind of feel

I don't care, it left such a wonderful impact on me as a kid
No movie has topped that since

Oh that's different then, being a kid makes things more magical.

26 here.

Favourites rotate, but here are some movies I liked that came out the last couple years

Microbe and Gasoline
The Lobster
Hunt for the Wilderpeople
April and the Extrordinary World
High-Rise

Sightseers might be my current favourite, but I'm only just getting into Wheatley
