"It clicked" -core

wtf how did you not enjoy this on first listen

This.

This record is incredible and I've never met a person who couldn't vibe to it immediately.

I'm in love with this album atm

...

Current for me

I pretended like it did the first listen

pls no bully

...

...

this

Kevin Durant?

...

Might be the only album I've made a full 180 on

I honestly hated screamo before.

I still am not into screamo, but I love midori

Do you think if I listened more, it'll really finally hit me?_
Lowkey only listened one and ahalf times.
I LOVED the first two tb h and I see people praising blonde but not channel orange
Idk I just loved the somewhat straightforward feel of the first two

I'll speak only for myself and say the first time I listened to Blond I was bored to tears and deleted it from my library directly after.

I came back to it a few months later and gave it a few listens and now I'd call it one of the best albums of the decade and I know just about every second of it.

This for me exactly. I was really excited for the album. I didn't remember anything after my first listen. Then like 2 months later I listened again and was hooked for awhile. I was kind of a pleb back then so I dismissed albums without giving them more chances

literally the GOAT title and opener track you have to be devoid of a soul to not enjoy this soul classic on the very first listen

I'll get back to it when I'm in a an rnb mood and see if something changes

this. listened for the first time junior year in high school. didn't understand the buzz. put it on again summer going into college. i spent that summer suffering through heartbreak and doing landscaping for the park district. throwing this album on and mowing lawns as the sun would rise gave me the greatest clarity.

Me too. I went from thinking it was boring overrated garbage to soothing melodic music you can throw on at any time.

Listen to it loud as fuck and approach it like an ambient or electronic album rather than R&B or rap. Having a massive hangover from a party last night where you didn't know anybody and got way too fucked up and made horrible decisions would be ideal.

haha "Gaye"

>tfw I put this on the shelf when I really got into music 3 years ago and I didn't like it
>I listened to it today (wasn't able to listen through all of it, unfortunately) and I was loving it
It totally sounds different, the production when I first listened to it killed it for me, and I thought it was a weak mix. But it doesn't even sound at all how I remember it.

This. Just had to turn it up all the way

>HOOOOOOOOOOOLY MONEY HOOOOOOOOOOOOLY LOVE

I'll drink three or four beers and hit it tomorrow

I really didn't like it at first

>tfw it doesnt get good until the second half

It clicked and it's beautiful.

how is this even possible you fucking plebs

the other ones posted ITT are excusable I suppose.

let it click d bag

not OP. I still struggle to get through the album desu. I absolutely love the title track but stupid lil me can't get it to click afterwards.

...

at first I loved only the title track but it took YEARS before it finally clicked. What caused it to click? Cop Shoot Cop came up on shuffle and I found it completely hypnotic but it was that trumpet wail during the noise breakdown at the end that made me do a complete 180 on this album.
>I love it now but I still believe that the harmonica parts are the only shitty parts of the album

...

Sometimes an album just doesn't click until later, regardless of accessibility. Some very straightforward albums only clicked to me after multiple listens, while some more experimental albums clicked on first listen.

i judged donuts based on the album art which is 100% terrible but after i listened i found myself realizing that he literally 'saved my life' and now I make tribute albums to him and only him.

am i gay?

>Midori
>Screamo
What? Love this album though. Check out 385 too. They're like Midori, but with funk instead of jazz.

i know some of you are laughing. had a bit of a chuckle myself, but this is actually latently cancerous

literally the same track all over again-album

nice b8

the woe is the transgression tracks were boring for me at first but other than that yeah it's amazing

i would post most of mount eerie desu

but
>1st listen
wow the first song is great
>2nd listen
wow the first two songs are great
>3rd listen
wow the first four songs are great
>4th listen
wow the whole thing is great

loveless is a grower for a lot of people
it's v dense and a lot to digest, especially considering how many people's first real shoegaze album it is
blonde was a grower for me too
i had to be more familiar with the songs to appreciate what they were doing

it's full blown

I've only ever heard Betrayed in the Octagon, Russian Mind and Zones Without People separately, is anything gained by listening to Rifts instead?

It did click, Zonoscope is just better user
Free Your Mind is in second

now it is time to revisit

It's not a perfect album, I think it suffers from being tied to the screenplay which I think is just kinda directionless, even though it has some cool bits (the creatures at the wedding stuck in my mind).
That said, after it's finished frontloading the radio songs and it starts to turn more introspective around The Party, I think it clicks, especially if you can get onto that wavelength Donald Glover has been on for like five years.

Kendricks GOAT

>1st listen
this is so fucking boring, how is this shit 'good'
>2nd listen
I really don't get what's so good about this
>3rd listen
Summertime Clothes is pretty good I guess. My Girls is okay too...
>4th listen
Hey this isn't so bad
>5th listen
I FEEL IT MANE

this album is ok but Sweatpants is actually a 10/10 song

I fucking hated this entire album except for Porno for years. I don't know what happened but now I can't get enough. I can't believe It's Never Over and Afterlife never clicked for me until now.

This one for me too

That Swimming Pools transition into Sing About Me. God damn

Took me about 4 or 5 listens to actually like it. I couldn't stand the vocals the first few listens and then it started to grow on me

This album is pure candy. The first time I listened I felt bad for enjoying My Girls because it was just too poppy, and thought the rest was twee garbage. It was only after relistening because My Girls was catchy did I notice the psychedelic aspects and realize it was actually pretty unique.

this is true, probably the best strictly rap song he's ever done

BABY LET'S DESIGN NEW CONFOOOORT

Took me a few listens, it probably clicked with Sept

this album fucked me up the first time i heard it
