That song everyone treats as an ironic joke but you genuinely think is a great song

>that song everyone treats as an ironic joke but you genuinely think is a great song

Which song is it? For me it's Len's Steal my Sunshine.

ooooooooOCEAN MAN

that was a catchy number - even though he shamelessly lifted the background from andrea true connection

THIS

Ocean man is fantastic.
The instrumental for that is insane in the best way possible

Sound of Silence

I'm Blue da-bu-di-da-bu-da

yOu WoULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES IF TEN MILLION FIREFLIES!!!
> also denzel curry's Ultimate

Harsh noise

To me that track always seemed boring and repetitive. Then the nostalgia kicked in while watching the video. Mine would be Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People.

creep is actually a good song sorry thom.

Hotline bling

>maurizio de jorio
Imagine being such a pleb you can't keep track of a guys 15 different aliases.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=MkltFTcS-3o
It's a seven and a half minute album that comes from a cartoon, if that counts. It reminds me a lot of "classic rock," so I guess that's what pulls me.

This too, but Waving My Dick In The Wind especially.

SOMEBODY ONCE TOLD ME

COMING OUT OF MY CAGE

I know you're trolling but Walking on the Sun is a fuckin' good jam.

most popular hits by taylor Swift.

semi charmed life is a fantastic song

Welcome to the Black Parade

James Blunt - You're Beautiful
Sixpence None the Richer - Kiss Me

stop listening to my music.

I saw the sign

Call Me Maybe, and for that matter, anything else by Carly Rae Jepsen.
Thankfully, my girlfriend agrees with me.

OH I AM SO SORRY MR I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND
jesus christ get over yourself
>OH EVERYONE LOOK AT ME I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND IM BETTER THAN YOU HURR DURR

Holy shit I know its just a slowed down version but I still like it much better than the original. This one seems so much more right.

that never ever getting back together song by t swifty

This, as well.
But many people like it unironically.

fuck you you fucking little shit I fucking hate that song its so fucking bad yet catchy.
Very patrician choice
First two minutes, yes. The rest of it is garbage. Although I'm not confident enough to unironically enjoy the opening.

To add, pretty much all of Band of Horses' Cease to Begin. If I have to pick a song, it'd probably Cigarettes, wedding bands. Or Cage the Elephants' Cigarette Daydreams. It's all hypergeneric indie garbage, but I can't help myself.

everything by death grips

Fuck yes. Probably the first song I learned all the words to.

4 non blonds - what's up

Russell Brand is a good singer in Infant Sorrow.

Also, I find Linda Perry extremely attractive, even today.

They have a lot of good songs.

Smash Mouth in general. Their first album is fucking great

Waiting For A Star To Fall - Boy Meets Girl

Ween in general, but that and also Push Th' Little Daisies especially

Also, why did the board just freeze there for a couple of hours

YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND BABY ROUND ROUND
LIKE A RECORD BABY
RIGHT ROUND, ROUND ROUND

...

>it aint me starts playing

i don't believe you

Most of Frank Zappa's joke songs.

Their live 10 minute version of Voodoo Lady is amazing.

Creep

Teenagers - MCR
the band and it's image are inescapably awful but that song is damn good. Lyrics are on the level of Teenage Rampage though, really dumb.

Crash Test Dummies - Mmmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm

Currently the best song I've heard from this city

As someone who was a fan of MCR back when they were relevant and still has some nostalgia for them, that is one of their few songs that isn't worth defending at all

These.

Actually that's my least favorite song on the album.

So, I guess any My Chemical Romance song that isn't that or most of the songs on Danger Days.

This entire album. It was probably the first album I ever really fell in love with as a teen. I later became a /metal/ fag though so I would never, ever admit in public that I listen to this album once in a blue moon.

Teenagers is just fun. I won't defend it against any claims that it's bad.

Creep is a goodish song, but it just lacks the flair and complexity of later radiohead.

Outside of memes, most people would I think agree that it's par for the course for commercial music and that is actually much harder to do than many are willing to say.

Lil Pump - Flex like ouu

It's such a great song sonically speaking, not even looking at the lyrics.

Pop Is Dead is actually good, too.

youtube.com/watch?v=AI_EOPG5sWo

Lady Gaga – Poker Face

Dat hook tho

AND AFTER ALL

>user why are you listening to spongebob music?

someone's lonely and upset

The bends. My personal favorite is black star, a completely forgotten song on a hated album

I'M BLUE IF I WERE GREEN I WOULD DIE

THAT'S NOT HOW THE FUCKING SONG GOES

MEET ME IN THE CROWD
PEOPLE
PEOPLE

XO Tour Life desu

NO

Kokomo
It's a catchy nice pop song that i genuinely enjoy listening to

Don't Laugh (I Love You)
I love that song

Numa Numa and Chocolate Rain are legitimately good

Not half bad indiepop song, just overplayed

I literally unironically enjoy mememusic. As in music created as a meme.
youtube.com/watch?v=yh-hQN4F3XY

BUT IM A CREEEEEEEEP

dunno why everyone hates it, its a little edgy but aside the lyrics its a great song

Absolute choons

Sailor Song - Autoheart
youtube.com/watch?v=OUcdobQxrRU

It hits me in the feels, and when I think it's stopped, it starts spinning again, grinding my soul until it falls from the other side. Makes a bitch of me.

All of 80s synthpop, even the cheesy stuff.

I
Love
You
Jesus
Christ

MY BABY DONT MESS AROUND BECAUSE SHE LOVES ME SO UNLESS I KNOW FO' SHOOOO

youtube.com/watch?v=1EKTw50Uf8M

this song is unironically banging

(CAN'T WAKE UP)

>the bends
>hated
what r u talking about dawg?

All Star.

Honestly it's a good song about the average Joe whos not that great at anything but still just wants to enjoy life by being himself.

This. The beat is great, and the lyrics are still stuck in my head and I don't even mind. Perfect viral song.

mein negro

It's great. The entire GWS album is like the first Tenacious D album but good.

Good Riddance
All Around The World (no one would mind this song if it was shorter)
Baby You're A Rich Man
More Than A Feeling
Vertigo
Snake Eater
Loser
Shiny Happy People
Sloop John B
Never Gonna Give You Up

It's a fun, simple song but with enough edge to not get old, unironically one of the best from Pablo Honey. Thom only pretends to dislike it btw.

The only meme song of The Bends is Bones and that is still decent.

youtube.com/watch?v=hYn7q953NTg

I heard this again recently, and it clicked in my mind. This song isn't about "loving little girls" so much as it's about being resented by women your age.

darude - sandstorm
no, really. i like that song.

This, The people who meme this song don't even know what the fuck it is about.

"poseurcore" is like 90% of my library

Yeah I'm not sure how anyone could hate on this one. The sax is pretty good too man.

That song was fucking horrible. The epitome of European mediocrity.

yep
yep

Childish Gambino - Redbone

everyone loves redbone what are you on about

I've got a lot of guilty pleasures, OP.

youtube.com/watch?v=47y5bo8wtqM

Redbone is literally a meme

I unironically enjoy early Counting Crows, Goo Goo Dolls, and Coldplay.

It's a good album

you'd be surprised how many modern artists have been stealing from this song

youtube.com/watch?v=Y5pdgyOzJtE

>hated album
I fucking love 'The Bends.' It's nice that they got one album of unabashed arena rock under their belt before going all fucking chin-stroky on us.

I saw them on that tour w/ GBV and our lad Yorkie seemed to really be enjoying the part of the rock star. I don't think many people realize they went through a spot of that. Everything about Thom has been so po-faced from 'OK Computer' on.
