I don't think you have to be a weaboo fag to enjoy anime. I like anime a lot but I don't let it affect my outward-facing life in any way. I don't say "kawaii" or fuck bodypillows, I just enjoy the stories. Lots of anime shows have twice of the essence found in a lot of the HBO/Netflix/whatever that comes from the West.
The problem isn't anime, it's just people clinging onto something that gives them something in common with other people. Bronies, otakus, high school jocks, Sup Forumsacks. Same shit.
