6.5/10 M&A and fishmans are god tier and ocean roar is bretty gud but you picked the complete wrong can album and Goldfrapp sucks imo

8/10 nice taste.
Ocean Roar is such an underrated Phil album, I love it.
Have you listened too Tomorrow's Modern Boxes?

7/10, Swans, LYSF, and MBDTF are fantastic, but amnesiac and LCD is super overrated and wolf and blonde are just kinda good but both inconsistent
7.5/10

No I have not.

4, having tyler there is unacceptable. Somewhat hyped for his new project tho, read some good things.
4, +1 for UMO, -1 for Mr. Bungle.
5
3, Hvis isn't even his 2nd best album. But I've only listened to entry level black metal so
5, lol fuck Neon Bible. But props for Fleet Foxes.

Nothing you say will hurt me, I've heard it all already.

This website is cucking me.

7.5/10. You picked the right Burzum album, well done. Geogaddi is better than CHildren, and obviously Entroducing is a masterpiece. Elliott Smith isn't his best album by any means and I gotta say I'm not too big on that Gas album. He's done better
7/10 picked the best Sleater and Daft Punk albums. I prefer Helplessness Blues and Contact as far as Silver Apples but the two you picked are both great too. Can't stand Neon Bible honestly

boy oh boy do I love me some music
it's getting harder and harder to narrow down a top 10 but here you go

7.5/10 good stuff, that Koenjihyakkei album is fantastic
there's some good stuff in there, and I like your choice for best Radiohead record
listen to some Gentle Giant, you'd like them
9/10 that Noname record is very underrated
>Avenged Sevenfold
that's an interesting one
8/10 tho

8/10. I'm surprised you have AMSP on there, I thought it was good but not all that special. Bloom is one the GOAT dream pop albums tho and C&L, WYWH, and ITAOTS are all masterpieces. Overall good taste
7/10 Disco Volante is so good. A lot better than s/t Imo. Also props for emergency and I, frances the mute(better than deloused), and SFTB.

A7X is one of those bands that I grew up loving but never become purely nostalgia or cringe or outgrown. I still love them and see them as talented just as much as I always did. Their debut would probably be a contender for that list too but I wanted to keep it diverse

Nice stuff, Can is fantastic, solid Mount Eerie and Modest Mouse albums
Props for Bowie, KC, and LCD you should check out Death From Above 1975, T Rex, Genesis
Good ass DOOM and Kanye Album. Also props for Mingus, Clipping, Noname
+of Montreal, Converge, Bowie, and Unwound
++Geogaddi constantly battles for my favorite BoC album and the S/T Elliott Smith is underrated
Solid choice defeinity big ups for American Football, solid choices for Pink Floyd and Radiohead

...

People need to realize that AMSP is easily a top 3 radiohead album with OKC and Kid A. In Rainbows is overrated on this board.

8.5/10 fucking good taste. Fake Train's fucking insane, and RiL, STGSTV, and Metaphoical music are all incredible too. Not a big fan of Glow or Tago though.

what's your favorite genre

help pls no bully
ooh bloom is great
and ofc american football and itaots

>In Rainbows is overrated on this board.
holy shit this

Try Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas / Treasure

wrong pic guys sorry

INB4 the original was better

>What are the titles of 3 and 4?
Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante
Milton Nascimento & Lô Borges - Clube Da Esquina

oh, how convenient I was planning on going through Mr Bungle's Discography next month, any suggestions on starting points?

Go backwards. Start with California, then go to Disco Volante and then their self-titled.

you are correct to think that noname tape is dope

Top 5 are definitely those, the rest could all easily be replaced by a ton of other stuff. Recs are always appreciated

+AnCo
+The Mars Volta
Listen to the Menzingers album in my top 10 and Lush's Mad Love and Sweetness & Light EPs if you haven't yet. Also I feel like you'd dig A Sunny Day In Glasgow

more of a blue bell knoll fan but I do like those
I've listened to everything by Lush
love all of it
a sunny day in glasgow is good, thanks
you're pretty wack other than radiohead.
I just despise MPP

Thanks. I like Boredoms. I'll try the rest.

same. They have a number of great albums. I don't understand why people latch on to that one

I require assistance losing my normie tastes

>Rush
King Crimson, Alphataurus, Soft Machine
>King Gizzard
13th floor Elevators, The Pretty Things - SF Sorrow, Can - Tago Mago, Morgen - Morgen

I've listened to a few of their albums
I don't think I've liked one song.
MPP bothers me in particular because it's always described as great pop...but I don't get it.
It's just not pop enough for me, there's never a moment where it's listenable. it just drones on and on. i'd seriously rather listen to trout mask replica and I hate that too but at least it's supposed to be weird.

>hating TMR
son, why

>the hook on 'in the flowers' isn't pop perfection
i'm not surprised that american idiot is your favorite album

>Van Vliet used a piano—an instrument he had never played before—as his main compositional tool. Since he had no experience with the piano and no conventional musical knowledge at all, he was able to experiment with few preconceived ideas of musical form or structure.

Listening to it is definitely an experience. It's just not one I enjoy.

It catches with you the more you listen to the things that came prior. It's like Ulysses, really. You can only prepare so much for it, it's a monolith, and goddamn is it a case of sui generis

But hey Safe as Milk is really good too

Appreciate the recs my dude.

It just doesn't sound like anything to me
all of the hooks on the album are just drenched in shit. it's like obnoxious screechy synths.

also I don't know if you've heard the Violent Femmes but you need their first two albums. It's the start of folk punk basically

My nigga. I'd love to be your friend.

Good taste.

i'm gonna assume you're familiar with Magma and Slapp Happy, but how about Fred Frith's solo shit? Or the Residents? You'd really like Not Available, Commerical Album, and probably Duck Stab too.

also should probably get on the Parson Sound train since it's pretty psycho shit for '67

anything by Labradford that came out before 1998
Magnog - s/t
Hoover - The Lurid Traversal of Route 7

Do you rec these for me?

I'm not gonna pretend to like Sup Forumscore just to appeal to everyone here.

You must be fun at parties.

yes

listen to Fela Kuti and Kraftwerk already

good for you if you like this, but you really have some shit taste. You can't justify Dr Feelgood or Asia in this world or the next

I'm proud of you user. Painkiller is fucking GOAT-tier.

Asia S/T is alright
You choose the 3 best Metallica albums
Kiss and Motley Crue sucks

>shit taste

If you don't like Dr. Feelgood, you're the epitome of a fucking beta.

come on, that's one of Merz' lamest albums. You may as well just be listening to C.C.C.C. or Incapacitants

get into actual drone

all hair metal or attempts to sound greasy and hard rockin' is just a shittier version of the Stooges' Fun House, which is one of my top ten, so back up pseudoalpha

LSD, mushrooms and music are the only things I need to have fun.

>The Stooges
>good

kek, you sound like a Rolling Stone writer. The production on that album is ass, Iggy's only famous because he rolled around in broken glass. It might've been influential, but Motley Crue improved on that sound by a fuckton. Live Wire is better than anything The Stooges ever put out.

Kiss sucks

+ Wish You Were Here
+ Unknown Pleasures

The rest are shit

>picks the two pop albums

I'm sorry I let you down Sup Forums....

I love Slapp Happy.

you're cool. The Raincoats? Hampton Hawes - Universe? much of Herbie Hancock's weird fusion shit?

I've tried punk rock, and it's not really my thing desu.

Ehhhh, I guess I've been trying to get into field recordings and find more ambient stuff.

Been trying to scratch an itch where a possibly ambient album full of sounds put together, natural or unnatural sounding, progress to a point where it gives me the sense that I'm dying and/or in a transcendent state.

Also, ever since I listened to Sufjan's Planetarium and got slightly disappointed. I've been trying to find albums that sound "space-y" and/or inspired by space.

Or something similar to the extreme instrumentals of The Money Store.

you should probably try out some 60s/70s avant classical from Luigi Nono, Bernd Zimmerman, Penderecki, etc

also maybe Gareth Flowers will be up your alley? He loops himself playing trump dozens of times in a really cool, sea of sound kinda way.

also space music like Hawkwind or the SPACE free jazz album done by Roscoe Mitchell could scratch that itch?

real good taste in weirdo classical shit. You ever get into Arnold Dreyblatt, Branca, Messiaen, or Partch?

>Been trying to scratch an itch where a possibly ambient album full of sounds put together, natural or unnatural sounding, progress to a point where it gives me the sense that I'm dying and/or in a transcendent state.
Christian Wolff, Morton Feldman, Helmut Lachenmann
>Also, ever since I listened to Sufjan's Planetarium and got slightly disappointed. I've been trying to find albums that sound "space-y" and/or inspired by space.
Check out the electronic works of Stockhausen and Xenakis.

I love the latter three but I don't know anything about Dreyblatt. Details?
