Nobody here gets out of the house much.

Lots of bars/concerts/clubs around downtown. Depends on what tickles your fancy. If you are looking for more 'adult' entertainment Toronto has top tier escorts, check terb.cc if you are interested

guess I'm the only one.

Fuck loads to do in that city. Like weed? You can buy it in store fronts with any government issued i.d.

Like booze? Check out Sneeky Dees, fun bar, hipsterish but great food and people.

Like strip clubs? Brass rail. Fun for a drink or 2, but expensive.

Like brewerys? Bellwoods brewery

Like sports? They have the blue jays playing at the sky dome. Pretty cool if its sunny, they open the dome. They also have a rugby team that is new this year, I wanted to check it out but didn't have time this trip.

I think there is college level hockey.

Im an Amerifag too. I went to school with a few Canadians, visited once, and fell in love to be honest. Awesome city, really nice people, expensive to live but there is a reason people want to be there

wow, thanks

If you get some weed you can go smoke it at the hotbox cafe in kensington market, I'm pretty sure there are a few vapour lounges on young st as well

this is pretty solid advice actually.
try a brewery tour if you've got the time. free beer is best beer.
check out kensington there's a ton of cool shit in there.
if you're into more touristy shit check out the RoM, the Aquarium or the AGO.
What hotel you staying at OP? I work in 6 so maybe I can get you the hookup.

i will check this place out, and yes I plan on getting weed for sure. God, I was just reading about all the "dispensaries" the city has. Holy shit that is awesome! looks like the law is changing in Canada day so all this stores just popped up?

I would rather not meet anybody off Sup Forums, but I really do thank you for the offer. See, people are already nice!

The hotel I am staying at is near King and Yonge, so right downtown it looks like. Thank god its no airport hotel, I hate those.

I can respect that. You flying into Pearson or Billy Bishop?

now I want to take a trip there. Looks like I could be there in around 10 hours. Thanks for the suggestion OP, think I have plans. Serious.

Weeds being legalised federally next july. These dispensaries are not technically legal, a bunch of them have been busted by the cops but they dont bother with the customers just the staff

Person, I can take the UPX right near where my hotel is from the airport it looks like.

That's funny. where r u coming from?

Toronto is a great place to visit for sure, its hell to live in though at this point. Housing is crazy expensive

Madison, Wisconsin

what area of the city do you live?

Yea it's a short walk from Union Station to your hotel. Check out Earls, the bar at King/York. Their servers are all model tier and the food is pretty stellar. It's also where tindr was born.
Enjoy your stay Sup Forumsro!

haha, that is awesome. thanks for all the tips.

I dont any more. Moved to windsor to be closer to my family. Used to live in parkdale and before that in the kensington market. But that was damned near 10 years ago at that point

Jump in Lake Ontario- You'll get radioactivity.

Lake ontario isnt that bad

...

right now it is pretty bad, from the highest water level its had in 100 years or something

Jump in then.

I should add, it is only bad in the harbour areas close to Toronto. Go east past scarborough and it would be better, and out a kilometer or so it would be swimmable forsure

i did the other weekend. You know how big lake Ontario is, ya?

Yeah but its not radioactive is what i was refering to

You could do worse than to start at the corner of Bloor St West and Bathurst. Marvel at the cheerful gaudiness of Honest Eds, which has, sadly, closed. Have breakfast at Insomnia. See what is playing at Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema... it is a restored theatre that shows only documentaries. Walk east on Bloor Street through the student-friendly Annex. There is a farmer's market just south of Bloor on Wednesday afternoon. Get on the street car ($3.25) at Spadina, and go south to the corner of Spadina and College Avenue. Walk west on College Avenue and marvel at the discount computer stores. Walk south on Augusta through Kensington Market, then east on Dundas. You have the choice of heading south on Spadina to Chinatown, or continue east on Dundas to Dundas Square and the Eaton's Centre. If you keep going even further east on Dundas, you will get to my favourite sleazy strip club, called Filmores. Also, there is high-end shopping in Yorkville, and funky shopping on Queen Street East. All of these things are within walking distance for a reasonably fit person, but Americans are, unfortunately, too fat to get out of their mobility scooters. It is worth taking the overpriced ride to the top of the CN Tower for the view.

lol. I'm one of the fit ones, I will be just fine walking around. I have an "allowance" for entertainment, so I will be taking a ride up the tower, my colleague just suggested this.

Also, at the corner of Bay Street and Bloor Street West, there is a bar called Panorama on the 51st floor of the Manulife Building. It is overpriced, but the view around sunset is great. The bookstore in the concourse of that building (Chapters) is great for browsing. (I don't actually buy anything there because it is an evil chain.) The campus of University of Toronto is a nice place for people-watching. Try Tim Horton's coffee to see what everyone is talking about, but seriously, it is not good coffee. Cafe Aroma or Lettieri is much much better. Coffee Lab in the foyer of Willow Books at 333 Bloor St West is the smallest cafe in the city, and worth the visit. If you have the time on a day with good weather, take the ferry to Wards Island and visit the clothing-optional beach. It is a very relaxed place.

Go to Caddy's on eglinton and call people niggers

Fuck Ashley while you are there. Hit it hard once for me

I'm busy Thursday night otherwise I'd show you around

Eglinton East is sketchy af

Scarborough isn't even that bad it just looks run down in some places. If you think eglintons bad look at royal york or rexdale/tandridge

you a pilot?

>Anyone live or visit Toronto that can recommend some fun stuff to do?
grab a flight to a better country?

Yeah, I fly out of Burlington though

strawpoll.me/13354691

>royal york
How far North? I don't think I've been north of dundas and royal York and that area is affluent af

Try poutine. It is french fries with cheese curds and gravy hot enough to melt the curds.

Also, walk into a pharmacy and ask for "aspirin with codeine" or "acetaminophen with codeine". The pharmacist will interrogate you to see if you know what you are asking for. Tell her you have a little arthritis, then ask for 100 of the generics. She will sell you narcotics over the counter. Americans can't do that. It is not as fun as it sounds.

Torontofag here
