Haven't been posting this track in BC threads, so here's a new one from our self-produced album

my band's first EP, would appreciate any feedback
this is a lot more emo than indie or post rock for my taste, but not bad
lyrics are a bit edgy sometimes and the beat is a bit lackluster, like your energy tho

Nothing is right with the world. Wash the sin away. Push down and make us swallow. Cut my spine. Fade my consciousness.
"In the year of our lord 1997, we have finally freed ourselves from the muck of obscenity. God has bestowed upon us our savior resurrected in the form of Esther Campbell. We who once were lost, navigating through this society of filth, have found our compass. Esther is not sick, but blessed with the most righteous of visions. For this she has payed a price. We have freed her from her prison. The curse of medicine is bestowed from the wicked. We remain holy. If she is to leave this material world and transcend to his infinite pleasures, we shall all follow. Our great subjugator is benevolent and our time is soon coming to an end. Humanity is this world’s burden and consciousness is ours."

Nope. The new release is all new material.
Well, I had low expectations going into it. And don't get me wrong, the music speaks for itself. Albeit very short and very much meme-sterical. I kinda wonder if it's all for shits and giggles or is there something you want to actually show with that kind of stuff.

recccccs:
Ah finally something a little closer to my wheelhouse. There's some really nice playing in here. Waldeinsamkeit takes some really interesting, non-intuitive turns in terms of the chord work, though I kind of think there's a bit of a lack of a solid melodic base for it to really work as a solo acoustic piece of that length. Most of the electric based stuff is nice and simple though my natural inclination is to want some kind of vocals over it, though I see how that may not interest you. I think Ignominy is really nice and has what Waldensmeckldof may have been lacking at times. Has a bit more cohesion chord wise, with nice little melodies peeking through and more variation in the picking. Probably my favorite track so far.
I'll keep listening, will finish up the feedback in a second post.

mauricelouca.bandcamp.com
first track is fire
feedback cont. Adorsss is definitely the best of the electric tracks so far, that high melody is simple but it works well in its simplicity, reminds of Natural Snow Buildings type stuff. Virtue is interesting, I think you could do a dronier type thing like that really well, but that track is almost too short to really settle in to its repetition. Bi Uni Bi Bopalooba is another nice track, some nice work down those lower strings, you never hear much of that and it really does sound nice when the guitar is capoed like that. Because of the rain might be a bit much. Habitual is neat, having that percussion really changes the entire tone of the track despite the guitar work not being not that far outside what you've done previously on the album. The last two tracks are nice and reflective to help close out the album. Overall I enjoyed listening to that, some of the ideas seemed underdeveloped but that of course adds its own set of charms. Still wouldn't mind hearing more music like this in these threads, nice stuff.
Thank you. Honestly, I really appreciate your feedback and the detail you've gone into. I agree with the majority of the stuff you've said, I'm still working on the album and don't consider it finished yet: I'll utilise what you recommend.
By the way, I'm midway through your album at the minute and heavily enjoying it. Very impressive guitar work!
Once again, thanks.

wow, what a big guy
You can get creative with that too, those are actual genres unlike those "YouTube search tem" genres like lo-fi boom bap, where you just type in "chill lo-fi beats" and get 923213 of the same shit
I'm not saying that this thread is full of masterminds but you can give one or two a chance, I'd say there are more of the bad "bedroom" artsts

very lush sound
reminds me of dismemberment plan, guitars are nicely synced up with the glitchy electronics
too slow building to fully appreciate now, but definitely gonna come back and give this a full listen later, love the mood
Beautiful, love everything going on underneath the minimal piano chords
You have a very rich and impressive voice. Nice arrangements going on under the picking too
disgusting in the best possible way
I think this might be my favorite in the thread, really dig your guitar and synth tones. Listening to this makes me feel like I'm in some kind of heat wave or something
I wish I knew how to record acoustic guitars as well as you man. Pretty songs too, big John Fahey fan, and love how you incorporate some of that kind of writing style into your music. Vocals are kind of Nick Drake like.
