I started out my career by lying on just one job application. I put "Native American" as my race instead of White. It was the one interview I got, and the one job I was hired for. Absolutely nothing happened to me, except at one point a couple months in I got an automatic invitation to a seminar for "minority engineers" - my supervisor saw it and approached me, saying "you're not... a minority, are you? This must just be a mistake". I didn't want to get caught, so I just agreed with him. But yeah, other than that, it never came up.

Every job I've had since then came as a result of that first job, so... I often wonder if I'd be as successful today if I'd checked the correct box.

None of that is systematic nor discriminatory, if the fact that women achieving lower scores is discouraging it shows the lack of motivation women have, it should be the exact encouragement that they need to get out thee and prove the perception wrong by competing directly with men

If you truly believe women should participate in STEM, then there is nothing wrong with giving them an easier time. If we want women to go into STEM, then we need female rolemodels already participating in STEM courses.

Personally, I think women should stay in the kitchen and give birth to many children in order to save the white race.

But since you cucks have decided that women should join the work place, you might as well do more to get women into stem. Women are half the population. If a few women getting easily into stem is what is needed for the rest to get in fairly in the future, then that is an easy sacrifice.

To be quite honest, if I was an employer and the top 500 candidates for my 500 places in my company were male, I would let in all 500.

If the top 500 were all women, I'd be running a 500:1 ratio of female to male workers and I'd not give a damn what their genitals were.

I was a masters student at UCL - civil engineering. I was doing my final paper on the use of 3d cameras and photogrammetry for robotics for factory safety. A woman was writing a paper on 'social networks and sex' for a degree in civil engineering. I said, "is this a joke? if not, i quit". I was forced to quit when some lecturer who gave me one lecture gave me some bullshit feminist propaganda. Also, it is impossible to get less that 50% at UCL.

Every woman I know in STEM was interested in it nor curious about it. Based on experience, the truth is nearly every woman who gets into STEM did so because they were doing what was expected of them during a time when they had little idea what they really wanted. (Modern coercive schooling agenda, generally)

Nearly every woman in STEM eventually realizes she fucking hates STEM. It's the truth and had nothing to do with role models.

To the extent schooling destroys creativity and curiosity, I agree more girls might become interested in STEM, but as of now it's more a cold calculation about finances and lifestyle, work and employment goals, in relation to what a bunch of immature kids with no real experience imagine themselves being happy with.

Predictably what they imagine is not reality and what you get is a co worker who is either a carrierist or miserable who will bitch and moan until she gets a job "working with people" or has a baby. I work in chemistry, and they are so desperate to get women into the field - if you have a vagina and look like you aren't completely demented you will get awards and research grants out of the ass, no questions asked.

I've had this happen on many occasions. To be fair, I always kick the hornets nest, but when the hornets respond so predictably, it's tough not to see if maybe one of them manages to come out of the nest not entirely pissed off and with their finger on the block button.

There be some sort of system whereby white people looking for jobs should tick the box marked 'black', and then at interview say that they identify as black. A savvy employer would then take on the 'black' person, filling their quota of minorities with a good, honest, white folks.

This "representation" shit has gotten out of hand. Just because there happens to be a larger number of one set of individuals present whom all possess some of the same physical traits does not mean that there is a some sort of exclusionary conspiracy at work to keep out those who do not share these physical traits. Further feelings of "exclusion" based on the fact that one is present in a room filled with people possessing different traits does not mean those feelings are justified. Indeed, it is a form of neurosis, because not only have these folks been programmed to see only the physical, but they have been so brainwashed to cling to such a thing, that they based their feelings of safety and self worth on whether or not their are enough people present who have been "born right."

Didn't read the image but yes, though it's not set in stone who gets the shit end of the stick, in America at times it has been the Irish.

I studied physics and astrophysics at a Russell Group uni and had several female lecturers. A woman ran one of the departments. Since I left, two of my previous lecturers, both female, have been promoted to full professorships.

None of this is down to sexism. None of this is down to filling quotas - every single one of these women was fucking dedicated and excellent at what they did (especially the woman who was head of her particular group - she's arguably the most intimidatingly intelligent person I've ever met). The basic fucking truth is this: in STEM, you're judged by your ability and your output - you can't waffle your way into a position. You're either competent or you're not. And if you're competent, you will rise to the top because your sex is fucking irrelevant.

The problem with the whole "women in STEM" movement is the women involved all want the juice without the squeeze. They all want to be regarded as the new Bill Gates and on the cover of magazines without fucking doing anything. STEM is full of women; it's just that they're too busy actually doing STEM to be bothered with this fucking bullshit.
