Sy Hersh has shit on this. Someone in the ISI gave Bin Laden up for the money. Rushed lies about his 'Muslim' burial at sea were because the operation was never meant to be made public like that, but Obama couldn't keep his mouth shut.

The claim isn't so much that he was a CIA operative, just that there was no network or organization; actual terrorists would hit him up for money while he played dress up and made videos taking credit.
