letterboxd.com/machill54/list/2016-cult-movie-challenge/detail/

I'll definitely be watching them anyway and will be happy to talk about them in the thread (so even if only one other user, or none, doesn't really matter). will happily upload stuff to mega if given a bit of advance notice that you want to join and can't find the film

What's the problem with Unedited Footage Of A Bear? Too self-aware and wacky for the avant-teens of /lbg/?

>Too self-aware and wacky
to the extent that it feels glib and insincere.

/yawned
The handmaiden was pretty good, fucking lewd though.

i'll watch SAFE eventually but i didn't really like VELVET GOLDMINE so i'm not putting a rush on it or anything

Try and find freeze, die, come alive! if you can, I reckon you'll enjoy it
I think I got it off KG so if you can't find it i'll upload at some point
Probs on RuT tho

First 6 movie suggestions will be in the film club poll

>watch a film

Eurocrime!

tabu (murnau)

>t. i like uninteresting films

>reviewer says something like "So I THOUGHT X would happen but then Y happened! And it was great!"

why do they do this? So many idiots writing reviews

maybe youre the idiot

children of paradise

>when a reviewer writes a 5 paragraph long anecdote that has absolutely no relation to the film they're supposedly "reviewing" and then in the final paragraph they say whether the like it or not

This is becoming far too common and I hate it.

found it on RuT but not sure if it has eng subs, will check

You're bringing that back? It's been attempted, what? Three times so far? And it's always been a monumental failure.

birdman: or (the unexpected virtue of ignorance)

>review starts with a quote from the movie

>review starts with a quote from the PEPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

these are my favorite movies

>review

I wanna fucjk that dog

Need one more suggestion guys

>review explains how the director and the whole movie are racist/misogynist only because one of the main characters is a racist/misogynist

>"read full review at (shitty indie blog)"

>reading letterboxd """reviews"""

what is wrong with you people?

Pain n Gain

>"review" only tells what happens in the movie

shame (bergman)

The Saragossa Manuscript

why the FUCK do people do this?

Jolene (Ireland, 2009)

>review is a joke

fucking idiot cat does he even know the value of life stupid fuck

>doesn't like the movie
>rates 5 stars cuz JOEKS

>review is an ironic Sup Forums meme

>user lists Sup Forums on their profile

Thanks guys

strawpoll.me/11127209

If this receives more than 12 votes I will watch the winning film tomorrow and attempt discussion in the thread

They are all great wtf are you talking about?

VOTE PAIN AND GAIN

>doesn't like the movie
>rates 5 stars cuz it's a classic

next time have a theme or something

don't reply to the cock-gobbler

letterboxd.com/mitts/film/eyes-wide-shut/

nice

Cimino is love or hate, no middle ground. Loved Deer Hunter, Heaven's Gate, and Year of the Dragon. hated everything else he ever did. didn't bother with Sunchaser, though.

TIME

TO WATCH

>gives 5 stars to a critically disliked movie
or
>gives half star to a critically acclaimed movie
>to seem less contrarian, he writes a review explaining why did he gave that rating
>seems a lot more contrarian

>>gives half star to a critically acclaimed movie
Think I did to Godfather 2

That film is like seasonal anime

>seasonal anime
I don't get this reference

>reviewer hasn't even seen the movie
>states this at the beginning of his review
>500 likes 200 comments

Looks like we are already up to 12 votes!

please don't make me watch Birdman again

link me to one of these

>snappy one line review about how bad this new blockbuster is
>1800+ likes

>review explains how the movie sucked because is not what he expected

Children of Paradise > Pain & Gain > Tabu > Birdman > Wendy And Lucy > Eurocrime!

P&G is my favorite though

NON INTERESTING PEOPLE ON SUICIDE WATCH

What makes a person interesting?

he doesn't like movies about uninteresting things
