i listened to skinny puppy and coil when i was 13
I've never heard of a 13 year old being into SPK.
I went through a major industrial phase from about 17 to 20, and I'm glad I did. It gave me a pretty good foundation for understanding extreme music, everything from noise rock and no wave to crust punk and grindcore, to futurism and drone. The first band in the genre I loved was Einstürzende Neubauten. It was such cathartic music, and conveyed feelings of alienation so perfectly. Especially Kalte Sterne and Kollaps. The first two SPK records were even more interesting. Factrix were another fascinating band, though almost more post-punk. Early Clock DVA was really cool too, and NON had some neat ideas. My favorite might be Test Dept., and Godflesh made one of the greatest metal records of all time.
I hope this is ironic

You might like Nailbomb
Just finished listening to the first Godflesh EP, I'm not very familiar with metal but this is really good stuff. If their albums are on the same level or better then I really can't wait to hear them.
i kind of had a similar journey. Clock DVA and SPK were my favorites
