Stop being plebs

>listening to irrelevant popular music instead of the most important works of all time

why is that so important when i'm irrelevant as well?

>being this much of a pseud
>listening to stockhausen unironically
kill yourself

So you too can become relevant and become a better person with a better life.
>still thinks Gesang and Kontakte were just experiments not in-depth meticulously crafted masterpieces
How can you of all ppl call others pseuds

every single one of OP's picks are the pleb versions of patrician music

pretty sad honestly

>thinks popularity determines pleb/patrician
Also, if you think non-Organ is better than Organ Bach you don't have a clue. Leave the hall, poser!

There are far better Bach performers on organ and keyboards in general.
There are far better recordings of Mozart's wind music.
There are far better Beethoven recordings.
etc.

Literally baby's first tryhard classical music

>nutcracker
stop posting

I am an absolute utter pleb and I have listened to all these albums.

Kys OP

If it's popular is it relevant
And were these classical works popular in their time

yes and yes

go fuck yourself

>is gonna namedrop inferior organ guys to Walcha
Lmao. Your poser knowledge hasn't even brought specific examples.

>Kontakte
>babys first
I can literally post archive posts that show otherwise.
>Nutcracker
>tryhard
Sure you have, then probably came to complain in the last two Kontakte threads how you didn't get it.
>has no clue what the phrase popular music means in OP
uneducated. Nigger tier

No, his most popular is either Gruppen, Oktophonie, or that Stimmung release from 2007. Gesang and Kontakte goes over other people's heads.

You would know this if you actively listened to this stuff.

>music for 18 musicians
Wew lad that's some mediocre minimalism

Lame Hipster faggot go eat shit and die

This is the plebbiest collection of classical music ever.

>t. I think the most boring minimalism like Feldmann, Eastman, Palestine, Melnyk, Young, and Conrad is somehow the most exciting because I can't handle changes happening in time instead of the same exact shit repeated forever nor can I handle actual changes in progression

Why does no one in this thread discuss better alternatives?

Literally every reply is a blanket statement criticism

I guess no one actually knows shit here

i like the Yoel Levi performance of Rite of Spring better. I'm glad the piece is so universally liked, nobody said anything about it ITT

I advise you to consider suicide OP.

Stockhausen is a H A C K

Kys

Only pseuds think that Stockhausen is a hack

You implied that in the OP you thick cunt

>going for the organ works and picking Lacha over Schweitzer like a fucktard
>not listening to keyboard Bach on harpsichord
>not preferring vocal music Bach
you're on many levels of pleb

lol i studied/taught electronic music at conservatory for 10+ years. it's the equivalent of some high schooler coming in a philosophy class and calling nietzsche the best.

both Hyperion and CPO's sets of the organ works are better pleb

Walcha* posting from phone

>listening to perceived "most important works of all time" because of a random chinese cartoon internet user for the sake of appearing cultured and intellectual

You're no better than those you despise.

I don't understand why or how people just go on the Internet and tell lies.

You'd think someone this well-versed in electronic music would have the intuition necessary to even listen to Stockhausen.

>Leave the hall, poser!
Oh my god this is my new favorite copypasta

Like everyone else said, babby's first Stockhausen. Get back to me when you finally get around to listening to Varese

Most important works, IMO
Pérotin - Viderunt Omnes
Desprez - Missa Pange Lingua
Bach - St. Matthew Passion
Mozart - Symphony 41
Beethoven - Symphony 3
Berlioz - Symphonie Fantastique
Wagner - Tristan und Isolde
R. Strauss - Salome
Schoenberg - Pierrot Lunaire
Berg - Wozzeck
Stravinsky - Rite of Spring
Varèse - Poème électronique
Babbitt - Philomel
Anything Ive's ever wrote

So you're saying that just because something is popular, it's bad?

That's one of the worst recordings of The Rite of Spring. Boulez and Bernstein both did it better.

This right here. Nobody has a clue what they are talking about.
Schweitzer recordings are old as fuck. You're retarded if you think those are better. And a harp is also an awful thing to use to just play the works as it's limited in sound.
>vocals for Bach
Vocals literally cannot keep up with the complex instrumental playing that displays Bach's style of counterpoint. His vocal stuff is slow as fuck.
And you still haven't given meaningful criticism on Stockhausen. Also anyone who straight up shits on Neitzsche is just as ignorant as one who worships the guy for the wrong reasons, so your analogy is fitting in showing how little you actually know.
>Hyperion
stopped reading right there, it's an incomplete collection doesn't even have Art Of Fugue. You have no clue what you're talking about.
Not because of me or this board, but because of what music actually is and thus what should be appreciated by supposed experts of music.
Varese's stuff is nowhere near as dense as Kontakte nor as ambitious.
Why St. Matthew Passion though it's like one of his last works. I would think Art Of Fugue would be the better one for him, no? Also not sure why Varese considering that's neither an earlier work of electronic nor is it as ambitious as Stockhausen's stuff (it just hits spatialization meanwhile Stockhausen controlled even more variables thus making more abstract, ambitious, and serial electronic music.) The rest is respectable.
>has no clue about the definition of popular music as a supergenre
As I said before. Uneducated. Nigger tier.
