I'm a mixed Asian and North Indian. My parents and neither have I faced any problems personally.
Although, conservative families usually do not want their kids to marry anyone outside their group/sect/caste/whatever. There are extreme versions of these people also who sometimes literally murder their own kids for going against their wishes but it's still pretty rare.

It's not always true. I know a guy who married a girl who was the daughter of their family friend.
Turns out she was a complete bitch (according to them, at least) and they filed for divorce 2 years later. Now they are fighting over splitting their property. The girl's family is demanding 7million INR (about $100,000).

I should also point out that I started it by merging the Pakistan and Bangladesh flags then adding the red strip for the Maldives.

It was only after I did that, I realised it was easy to add the black strip to represent Afghanistan as well.
