Both are shitty and biased.

Fox isn't as biased as they used to be or as some like to claim they are.
They're the only news network I see that regularly has both sides of an argument get to speak without interruption or slanting of questions by the host.
I used to watch CNN all the time, thinking that they were unbiased and middle of the ground between Fox and MSNCBC. I could not be more wrong.

Hello Fox Representative.
Read your local newspaper or local news station, that shit is usually straight information with no spin.

WSJ is good for everything but race relations. And accusing pewds of being a Nazi. However, I have noticed, WSJ is biased towards China's position, regardless of the issue at stake. Mr. Murdoch has flattered Communist Party leaders and done business with their children. His Fox News network helped China’s leading state broadcaster develop a news Web site. He joined hands with the Communist Youth League, a power base in the ruling party, in a risky television venture, his China managers and advisers say.

Mr. Murdoch’s third wife, Wendi, is a mainland Chinese who once worked for his Hong Kong-based satellite broadcaster, Star TV. Her role in managing investments and honing elite connections in China has underscored uncertainties within the Murdoch family about how the family-controlled News Corporation will be run after Mr. Murdoch, 76, retires or dies.

Fox.
I'm watching it right now.
CNN is compele shit. They barely have any viewers. Re-runs of full house and nick at night get more views.

It's a very, very sorry state of affairs that the current media makes Fox news look even somewhat impartial and factual.

It's an even worse state of affairs that it now actually is.

Fox has beautiful women.

When it comes to straightforward news, BBC is pretty centered.

>Read your local newspaper or local news station, that shit is usually straight information with no spin.
I'm sure local news sources will have absolutely no bias towards local politics.

Oy vey...

wow, straight from the WH talking points. Are you that huckabee cunt?

I love Lisa boothe. She's so beautiful.

CNN muh dude. Its the only real news.

Thats like saying, should I keeping drinking bleach or try some hemlock.

No lol fuck Huckabee.

You seem o be unaware of BBC's past of heavy censorship and leftist bipartisanism. I'd research BBC I'd I were you. They're "Air bogus documentaries as fact and shut down opposing views" kind of bad.

cnn tried to blackmail a 14 yr old memer from Sup Forums

No cable news in general is not good but CNN is the better of the big 3

Really you should be reading, listening, watching multiple news sources and deciphering what is real by comparing documented facts. Ignore the commentators, only follow the source documents. Read it, listen to the representatives and hold them accountable for what they say.

New York Times, Washington post, and NPR use credible sources, but you should still be able to trace their research. pol trolls hate journalistic integrity as much as they hate people thinking for themselves.

At least where i am from, local news is decent and un-opinionated. Even where the Freddy Gray riots ensued (from Baltimore), the local news stayed based and factual, including interviews of people with differing opinions alike. It was major news sources who reported bullshit on the matter, CNN, MSN, and NYT having a "dindu nuffin" attitude, and Fox News blaming the matter on black people as a whole.

Stick to maybe BBC, some parts of WSJ, mixed with a non-opinionated local news feed which only delivers facts.

I'm on a phone. Pretend Google's autocorrect isn't ass. Thx.

Dem feets

lol it's not about viewers dipshit. You know what gets more views than Fox News? Porn hub. Doesn't mean it's the better source of information

Fuck CNN and most MSM. That being said, can we quit lying about the 38 year old who backed down like a little bitch? I'd appreciate it.

Al Jazeera is a very unbiased news source.

oh no, you should watch CNN, they've never lird about anything

yeah so that the Fox execs and senior news anchormen can try to molest them

All of them. Read books too.

Everyone is bias. All media is bias and all experts are bias.

Get all the information you can out there from all perspectives and view points, learn to evaluate sources, be well informed, dont listen to emotionally charged people because thats when cognitive dissonance sets in and they become full of shit, if something outrages you or makes you fearful, seriously question your own opinion, because your logic is most definitely compromised, and finally, understand that because something doesnt make sense to you, or you dont like it =/= not true. Nor does thinking something makes perfect obvious sense without deeper research and understanding automatically mean it is true.

Once you have all the (verified) facts, form your own (bias) opinion. Be open to information that debunks your world view.

Also in todays day and age.... Stay way the motherfuck away from the far left and the far right.

Stick to fox news.
I mean come on... CNN has a gay albino and some old whiny hippies.
Can't even compete with the amount of drop dead gorgeous blondes on FOX.
Also an allstar list of alphas. Can't CUCK the TUCK, old wise Krauthammer, and a TRUE American hero Ollie North.

As much as Sup Forums shits on them, WaPo is good, as is Politico. When including opinion, it is often backed up with fact. WaPo is more center left, and although I disagree with some of their social positions, is decent. Politico is center-right, not as well known, and is quite reputable.

...

neither.
npr is the best news source and the most respectable / skilled at their craft / honest / informed

I have read none of this thread. I watched CNN during the Obama years because I felt it wasn't doom and gloom and presented things reasonably. This is no longer the case. Fox is now better. No shit, it is more legit.

...

>They barely have any viewers. Re-runs of full house and nick at night get more views.

EHeheheh holy fucking shit m8 cant think for yourself that you got to almost word for word repeat the exact same words said on fox news instead of thing your up. Holy shit nigga are you one pathetic mother fuck who can only repeat shit they see others say instead of thinking for yourself.

Stay away from CNN. Nothing but turds.

Oh and avoid american media altogether. The rest of the western world has laws against misleading news, or outright lies on the news.

America doesnt have those laws. That doesnt necessarily make the rest of the media foolproof, but it's at least a safety net. Serious charges can and have been laid for that sort of thing outside america.

I usually watch PBS. They do a nice job getting a balanced crew. There is usually little opinion.

FN, MSNBC, and CNN are all unwatchable opinion networks at this point.

Listen to the BBC podcast and read the CFR conflict tracker news instead.

This. For being a middle eastern news source, their journalistic integrity is (ironically) quite good. However, the YT channel AJ+ is biased shit.

...

...

Fox news watchers are less informed about ongoing events than people who watch no news at all, according to recent study.

But by all means if you want your daily bullshit, stick with Fox. CNN is biased too but still better than Fox.

Fox will in many cases actively try to distort or distract you from the truth just to fit their political agenda. The question is if you care about the truth.

More people should get doxxed for the dumb shit they say online.

>who can only repeat shit they see others say
Those things are called facts. But I understand that such a concept is confusing to a CNN viewer.

Repeating facts, being right... what a loser...

AJ+ is literally buzzfeed to me

...

They're all shit. Fox is blatantly right, CNN is full of idiots, and MSNBC is blatantly left. Newspapers are the same. Some local news are leaning these days.

Honestly? Watch both. There's plenty of spin, but if you watch both, the spins might contradict and somehow equalize.

...

...

>AJ+

I don't disagree. I am saying that the Al Jazeera news is factual and unbiased.

All they did was reach out to him for comment and everybody loses their empty minds.

LMAO XD

>Not exclusively watching infowars

yeah totally I wrote the post about Al Jazeera being very good. NPR is pretty unbiased but every now and then they pull hard left.

I like al jazeera, so dont get me wrong.

They too have been caught spinning or presenting false information, intentional or not. You'll never find a totally unbias news source.

Its more focused on business, but Bloomberg is good

Facts man. Damn it you're so dumb.

I hear if you do then you get a bulk discount on tin foil.

>Fox news watchers are less informed about ongoing events than people who watch no news at all, according to recent study.

I have seen this study but jesus fucking Christ put a link to it when you make a statement like this you lazy fuck.

publicmind.fdu.edu/2011/knowless/

Fox is incredibly biased to the right. CNN is moderately biased to the left.

Watching a little of each is best tbh.

Only because every now and then reality has a leftist bias.

I forgot. AP isn't that bad (to my knowledge). Just read AP stories.

Fox all the way.

Unfortunately, this is true. I agree with the NPR statement, I personally listen them every morning on the way to work.

I beg to differ

>Should I watch CNN or stick to FN

Naw what all you can. Just don't be stupid as all fuck about your media literacy. Since if anything watch for and get facts from as many places as possible and then you yourself should decide what it all means.

Fags saying one is better than the other in any way are a bunch of media illiterate fags who cant distinguish between fact and opinion and need to have their own faggy world views reinforced cause of whatever emotional hate for anything that goes against that hurting their overly emotional and easily triggered feelings.

Everything is biased. And the "balance" that so many people ask for is stupid since facts and what is true in the world is a stupid thing to try to have "balanced" opinions and panels about

though as actual advice ignore the actual opinion/editorial late/evening shows. Since while there can be factual reporting on there. They are just opinion shows for the most part so shit is partisan as all fuck with fags trying to push their agendas in the face of the truth and facts for the sake of views of people who want to be told reassuring lies.

Sometimes reality has a right bias too.

Even if I could prove to you either side is totally broken, a broken clock is right twice a day. You cant rule out everything anyone says or believes, nor can you openly trust and embrace every ideology of the side that has it right most of the time.

Sure Fox leans to the right but they do their homework and the coverage is based on actual facts.

CNN is getting a well deserved foot up their ass right now for publishing shit without sources and colluding to deceive the American People (us!).

Its not a left/right thing. What CNN did and continues to do is a disgrace to so called journalism and proof they don't truly believe in democracy.

Neither. You should find podcasts that are worth a shit for long-form in-depth analysis by people who actually have an idea of what the fuck they're talking about and aren't just reading the daily talking points issued by their preferred political party to manufacture outrage and score eyeballs for advertisers.

Nearly all of the people who watch TV news in this country watch Fox. Similarly, Rush Limbaugh is the most listened to talk radio host. The right-wing media outlet of the Republican party IS the mainstream news.

CNN's viewership is booming right now, and it's still watched by fewer people than any daytime TV program, and that includes every hotel and airport and bar TV in the country. Statistically, CNN viewership is a ghost town.

Yeah Fox. Better than the old nanny skanks from CNN.

Im a huge fan of radiolab, myself.

>Sure Fox leans to the right

like a minute hand at 2:29

>Sure Fox leans to the right but they do their homework and the coverage is based on actual facts.

Maybe the News portion of Fox with Chris Wallace but the rest are opinion shows. Hannity still pushes the Seth Rich conspiracy

NPR.

>Hannity still pushes the Seth Rich conspiracy
What a nut.

Im same faggin one of these but...

Guys... Seriously read these..

Fox

Raidolab and This American Life are like crack for my ears.

the worst you could go with are the extreme left/right sites that distort facts and are blatantly opinionated. this includes (left) Buzzfeed, Jezebel, Salon, dailykos, and EverydayFeminism, and (right) Daily Stormer, Infowars, Breitbart, Sup Forums, and occasionally, Fox.

Radiolab is fucking awesome.

Sad that it is necessary to watch 3 times as much news to stay informed, whereas in days gone by you could watch the news for an hour and be all caught up. No spin, no editorial about everything.
Seems like Fox is less over the yop right than CNN is over the top left.

Used to be a good app called "breaking news" that was straightforward, then you could click on their headline to do more research on a particular topic.

Sadly, NBC had bought it and then closed it down this year after a few years of running and I haven't found a replacement yet.

He makes a good argument, gents.

>Fox leans to the right but they do their homework and the coverage is based on actual facts.

Fox has the worst track record for factual reporting of any news outlet in the united states. They actually classify themsleves not as journalism but as an entertainment channel, to avoid being held to any journalistic standards whatsoever.

That you think they're basing their op eds on "actual facts" says a fucking ton more about you than it does about Fox.

I used to enjoy O'reilly and I still enjoy Tucker Carlson, even though those are mostly opinion shows. Hannity has always been a bit of a nut.
But it's hard to criticize him for pushing conspiracies when CNN seems to do it nonstop.

Fuck news. I don't care anymore. My news is facebook trending topics.

I dont know what this american life is but Ive got an odd feeling i can totally trust you on that. Downloading now and listening tomorrow.

>Fox News does their homework
kek.

politifact.com/punditfact/article/2015/feb/26/50-fox-news-lies-6-seconds-daily-show/

Im not defending CNN in the least bit, especially in recent light of things, but CNN is less biased than fucking Fox

There's nothing wrong with brietbart. Additionally, Drudge Report has been my go to for the past few years.

I fucking love Radiolabs stories but I fucking cannot stand Radiolabs production style.

I've considered editing all the garbage out of their episodes and just uploading the stories so people over 12 and not on ritalin can actually listen to them and get the content.

They did one episode that was just straightforward without a bunch of noise laid on top of it, and it was fucking great.

I fucking h a t e that overproduction shtick.

Ill have to disagree on Breitbart, as it is pretty damn far right.

However Drudge report is good, even find myself reading it once in a while (consider myself center-right)

Holy shit man, come on, are you the fucking kool aid man himself?

CNN is an open sewer. You'd be better off reading the national enquirer to try and figure out what's going on in the world.

proof?

It's what's been going on recently that has tarnished CNN's reputation. They USED to do good reporting and seem moderate, but since like 2012 it's gone really downhill with pandering to liberals and Democrats.

You will not be disappointed good user.

If you consider Druge a reputable source of misinformation and propaganda fit for your ears, then no, you probably wouldn't be aware of any problem with Breitbart. It's probably a high bar for you.

Watch both.

Hilarious.

>here's nothing wrong with brietbart.
The irony, it burns. It's like a liberal saying "There's nothing wrong with CNN."

That's how fucking retardedly and blindly biased you are.

Salon, Vox, and Occupy Democrats are legitimate sources of news
