Will guitar music ever make it back to the mainstream/radio/etc?

I like guitars

is this the cutest bassist ever?

>not wata from boris

>girl
vomit

fat and old

didn't know this was gay general

Sup Forums is a gay anime website, every thread is a gay thread

Without her tons of makeup cake she would look like a sunroasted raisin.

she's toppest of qts makeup or not

it's time to grow up little boy

Help gg, I need flanger/chorus pedal recommendations for that anarcho punk sound. Some examples:

youtu.be/_9tvmT7jHjU
youtu.be/FI6EivGjZ08
youtu.be/YvA21QXMJM8
youtu.be/Gm43yax1kZU

I'm thinking the flanger from that new TC line could get me there, but I'm not ONLY looking at dirt cheap options. On the other hand, I do play violent shows and tour and shit, so dropping $500 on some handwired work of art isn't ideal.

I'm looking for The Sound, I don't care if it's dirt cheap or somewhat higher end, long as it sounds GOOD.

Thoughts or recs?

I'd be willing to bet that picture is a little boy

she may be flat but she's not a boy
but at least she is real

Up

Cannot predict now.

Just wait until WW3 and I'm sure blues will make a comeback

I live in an apartment with the girlfriend, and i'm picking up a tubemeister 5 watt head with an eminence 1x12 cab and i'm worried about volume levels. Now i play a lot of doom/stoner stuff, but i've always had others living with me so i'm used to give up a little tone for lower volumes, but that was with a modeling amp. Can anything be done to save me from a noise complaint with the tube amp? Iso cab? Also if it helps its one of those apartments with two floors, an upstairs and downstairs, so no one lives above or below us.

Even a 5 amp will be loud inside a small room.

if she can't handle loud volumes I'd reconsider my relationship

t. cuck

>tried playing left handed because of the guy with the leftie pepe kept making fun of me
>did it for too long
>playing normal no longer feels comfortable
>stuck in limbo
Help me

Tele.

Rent a storage unit and play as loud as you fucking want.

But that costs money!

Fuck your excuses

Just buy good monitor headphones and plug guitar into your computer. Use daw and amplitube 4 to generate sound. It's pretty good. Unless you play in band of course, then you should be playing somewhere else than in apartment anyway...

...

where do i get daw and almplitube 4

so i have reaper now i need to get amplitube 4, do i just pirate it?

is trap music gonna bring guitar back?

you guys completely missed the point. Girlfriend is not the problem, she's a violinist herself and plays my guitars from time to time. Im worried about neighbors.

right so should i maybe DIY an isolation cab? Sell the 1x12 and get a DAW for PC? idk fucking foam panel the wall?

Did you play high E on top like a boss or low E like a wuss? Only way to stick it to the Right man is to flip his tools upside down. Play it loud! I'm Left and I'm proud!

But where to start learning bass?

some1 please

What is a good guitar for my Trump hands?

can you guys help me build a drumkit like this for 400 bucks

i know i suck but please say something

MXR Micro Chorus with the single knob taped down on a slow setting would be good for rough shows. Find one used for like $45-50 on ebay or reverb

>there are no good female guitari-

youtube.com/watch?v=JTQrXj-aT5g

faaaaaaaaag

are there actually people who say that?

pretty good, you in a band?

no im to autistic for a band,
trying to start some shit with a close friend of mine though

There'll probably be like a Grunge/Indie revival in 10 years given there's an 80s revival now

>Give friend specific instructions on what to buy from music shop
>Either he fucks up or the shop assistant fucks up
>Get the wrong thing
>He loses the receipt

>mfw trying to understand sheet music

I don't get that. It's still there in my country. Sure it's not in every top 40 song but it's not "forgotten".
Who cares if it's popular or not either way.

The 80s revivial doesn't concern every genre from the 80s though. There hasn't been a sudden outburst of Heavy/Glam metal bands.

The principle is easy.
Reading it is bullshit, I always get lost between the lines and take ages to understand something.

Is there a good way to practice switching chords besides just playing them over and over? I have trouble when switching to C or F, I can't do is fast I always put down my pinky and ring finger first and then the rest sequentially which is slow but I can't seem to do it all at once.

Do you know all tone positions on the fret by heart, like when someone says play a D you don't even have to think about it? That's really important. I'm a pianist, started playing some guitar recently and although I can read sheet music fluently, I can't relate it to the fret fast enough like on the piano.

If you have problems just reading it, try using a piano if you can get access to one, it's so much more intuitive on the keyboard and you'll learn faster.

Checked

Anyone got anh idea what bass Johnny Hostile is playing here. I've been looking for something comparable for ages.

Danelectro 56

no it's her i want to sound like her

youtube.com/watch?v=j5Yo-AHvsv4

Way too many drums for that budget, I don't understand people that have that many but people have different tastes. For 400 dollars you might get a rough second hand Pearl kit, or you could get a good Yamaha kit. But don't think they'll be like your friend's kit, if you're lucky you might get a 5 piece (Snare, bass drum, hi hat, tom and a floor tom) but I think that will probably be the most you'll get for that type of money.
I hope this has given you an idea of what you might get

I casually play the keyboard while I'm more skilled with my guitar or bass

I can play some bits from chopin, bach and beethoven but I can't fucking read music, it's way beyond me

thats why Im not a real musician, Im lazy

>don't buy an expensive guitar
thanks varg

Anyone own one of these RK Dirty Thirties? I was curious about them when I went to my local shop. Didn't pick one up to try it out. I ended up buying an Alvarez, and I kind of regret my decision.

anyone have much experience with short-scale bass guitars? Wanting to get a bass after years of regular guitar, but i have kind of small hands so maybe a short scale might be better than going full?

Hal Leonard is in the OP.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

If your other fingers are lagging, you shold put them down first from now on.

What are (You) checking?

hey guys lets give the mini man a hand on his shopping for a bass

Go full scale.
Sounds better and the fingering system is different to guitar - you don't have to stretch as far as you think

are you shorter than me? this a regular scale bass
youtube.com/watch?v=XOLORvoQu_U

im 5'5 / 166cm, i think my hands / fingers are fairly average for that size. i just noticed i struggle with ;

-
-
-
7
7
3

which ive seen come up a few times

i guess I'll go to the store and try both sizes and see. was just wondering of any particular drawbacks from either

you saw that 7 7 3 chord for bass? i think you're mistaken

i mean on guitar, ive struggled with that, which means i worry about my hand size on a full scale bass.

I know that sort of thing wouldn't come up, but i still wonder. what famous short bassists are there?

Get full. It's more about flexibility than size, you only need practice. If you go on youtube you can find tiny asian girls with tiny asian hands playing bass like crazy.

maybe its just that your fingers arent much stretched?
victor wooten is 5'7"
this kid is short youtu.be/cA3MqWbR3PE
you can also inspire yourself on this girl, i believe shes your height LOL youtu.be/tgffDVO2UyA

youtube.com/watch?v=XOLORvoQu_U how to get my bass playing as tight as this >> youtube.com/watch?v=MnDwZQEvjQc

you may find a narrower neck more beneficial than a short scale.

If you're only using 124 like most bassists, there is hardly any stretching

I don't see what you don't get, learn how the tones go in order and then just memorize one position for each clef, like for the bass clef there's f on the line between the two dots and then if you don't know which tone a note represents you just count down from the note you know. Slowly you'll be able to find more and more notes without counting down and you'll be able to count down from the nearest position you know and eventually you'll know all of them without needing to count. It's just practice like anything else.

Find a song you like (start simple), get sheet music for it (classical is easiest to find), learn it only with sheet music. After a couple of songs you'll be able to read pretty well.

Thanks pal. You're a top geezer.

Looking to get my first guitar. Should I go with a Yamaha Pacifica PAC012?

guys help. i've been playing for 3 weeks now and one of my biggest issues is my fretting hand getting really sweaty after a short while. im not nervous or anything but my palms are always sweaty. it makes playing a lot harder for me.

how do i get his sound?

yes, theyre fantastic beginner guitars

Ya, pac's are great, got a 212 as my first guitar and have never regretted it

dont worry it will stop after 5 years

>didn't know this was gay general

Yamaha has those small amps made for playing at low volumes.

modern SS poweramps are as powerful as tube ones, through a 1x12" they'll be as loud, if not louder
