Finally got around to this, don't know why I avoided this for so long, this is amazing. Would like more hardcore punk stuff if any one want to recommend. Also stuff that are similar to Zen arcade.
Child Molesters are a great band. Never seen them talked about here before. What's some other obscure shit you like? I started this thread but might as well just join this one
Christian Rivera
What i meant was I started the one I linked to. Fucked up the phrasing on that
Angel Roberts
Labels are cool man
I knew someone would say this. Well for that 10 minutes I'm gonna be high as fuck not caring about anything besides how his screams give off the same energy im feeling Also thanks for everyone else's suggestions
Asher Stewart
Punk can be taken quite large, for me punk = post hardcore, hardcore, pop punk, noise rock, post punkw new wave,...
Juan Cruz
Dunno what's really obscure.
I like a lot of shit I found on compilations and whatnot. I'm not commonly on Sup Forums so I dunno what gets talked about either.
Too melodic for hardcore but whatever it's one of my favorites.
Nice to see someone who dove in further than the sex pistols in one of these threads. You heard these guys? One of my favorites youtube.com/watch?v=PAvgQAFl8BA
And there's so much of the stuff out there and I'd go as far as to say punk is my favorite genre. Hell there was a period where all I listened to was California punk from 1977-1982
I know Tampax and Bobby Soxx
You heard Soxx's band Stick Men With Ray Guns? Only a live album but it's nasty. Dude was a psycho on stage too.
I was once told that the difference between pop punk and any punk is that in pop punk the chords are more similar to pop music, is annoying people who say shit like this ok?:D I accept if someone likes/listens to/ pop punk, it just bugs me how stupid and ignorant they can be sometimes.
Most of these are popular-ish I think but here are some I like.
Eastern Front, Rodney on the ROQ (the Wild in The Streets by Circle Jerks and Bloodstains by Agent Orange btfo their actual album versions), Not so Quiet on the Western Front, Bloodstains, New York Thrash, Let Them Eat Jellybeans, and Rat Music for Rat People
