I think he comes from a pretty well off family. I know his aunt was a famous singer and I think his parents were in show business also. His role on ER was huge, and his films while not being mega blockbusters (aside from the Oceans series) are still fairly big and well known. I think he's also pretty heavily involved in producing, which I'm sure makes him a lot of money.
