What the fuck is that?

Yes I also play Crash

I only use my PS1 for my yearly playthrough of FFVII.

I use my original "crystal" xbox with fucked up video cable and no controllers for a CD player. Have to navigate to the player by memory but it still does the trick

I use it for my vinyls

man that original playstation design was so a e s t h e t i c

get on my level

no, but does anyone still use this as a cassette player?

pic.

i get erect thinking about flipping that cover open and inserting a disc

lmfao yes that's the only reason i purchase cassettes really

Is it true that it has the sound quality of a $3,000 CD player, or is it just another audiophile myth?

Damn, this was my first console. Good memories.

Last game I played on it was Final Fantasy IX a couple of years ago.

>Tfw my doesn't flip open automatically anymore after 20 years of abusing it with a paper clip to run pirated games on it.

That start up sound was awesome too

Probably more like a $1000 dollar system but only if you have high quality cables/speakers

The ability to rip CDs onto the Xbox hard drive and use them and custom soundtracks blew my mind as a kid.

Thats a sweet case did you change it yourself? Or was it part of some special edition like the green halo one?

Just came with it, it looked cool at first but now you can just see how much dust is in there

Ew

try me

No, but it does have a rather warm and rounded sound from its at-the-time-cheap DAC and amp stage. It's probably more fun to listen to than any other CD player that costs less than three figures.

i half want to buy one just for those '90s space visualizations that came on when you put in a cd

My friend does.

...

It was great. I remember listening to Smash Mouth Can't get enough of you baby and the space ship would fly by do a barrel roll and fly off.

Apparently the SCPH-100X line (launch model) sounds pretty dank, but it also has the crappiest laser apparatus of the bunch, shit melts itself down

Pop in one of the PSOne model lasers and you're set for life, it's an easy swap too
