It's a writers' strike season

>it's a writers' strike season

name 23 shows that had this happpen

Every show on television between 2007 and 2008.

It's honestly hilarious how noticeable it is.

every show in 2008 had a retarded season finale

>its a character actor dies irl episode

rip heroes

what could have been

>that obvious drop in quality in season 2 of Friday Night Lights

>it's actor joins Obama's election campaign

Killed so many good shows.

Like what?

>it's an animal trainers episode

Scrubs springs to mind.

>it's a previously killed character comes back to life due to fan backlash and lack of original ideas episode

Every show has one of those.
>Daniel Jackson
>Sara Tancredi
>Tony Almeida
>Bobby Ewing
>Jon Snow
>Sandor Clegane
>Benjen Stark

Okay some shows overdo it

>it's a new showrunner coming in season

>It's a festival episode

>Dexter

It still hurts

The only show to do the right thing was 24. They needed a full 24 episodes so they waited a year.

>forced to join the guild or work "literally what" shows the rest of your life
>forced to go on strike
Murica

And made a prequel movie cause they had so much time.

Breaking Bad was probably saved by the writers strike. That short season was GOAT

>it's a hastily changed running order episode

dr cox literally went bald one episode then came back the next week with a full head of hair

>it's a politically correct episode

>it's a kids you won't believe this but we have a new foreign exchange student episode

>mfw watching Heroes season 1 to season 2
The strike killed that show.

>it's a the parents come to visit and it's awkward episode

Mad Men seemed unaffected

The season 3 finale IIRC (when they're in a spooky house being haunted by Sylar) is one of the most farcical fucking TV episodes I've ever seen. The decline in quality from the first episode/season to the later ones is just incredible.

>it's a the protagonist's family turns out to be evil and wants to kill him season

Mad Men finished writing for season 2 before the strike had gone into effect

He also became Chief of Medicine only for Dr Kelso to reappear the next episode as if nothing had happened

Season Two of 30 Rock was arguably the best season and that was the writers strike season.

Let's name shows the writer's strike ruined

>Lost
>Heroes
>Dexter

>it's a 10 minutes longer season finale episode

If there's a writers' strike, do they just haul in the reserve set to whip up some shit?

>Prison Break

>it's a Kiefer Sutherland has to tell Americans that not all muslims are evil before the episode starts episode

You just know it's gonna be a good episode

Fucking kunter

they get the interns to write it

>It's a Kiefer throws a mussie he could have taken in peacefully out of a window episode
>It's a chief Kief hangs a mussie and tells him "SAY HELLO TO YOUR BROTHER"

Imagine how much shit 24 would get today.

Fun fsct:
The writers wanted Jack to shoot her when he came in, but Kiefer was like "No, I want a scene with her" so they changed it to them talking and him then throwing her out the window

fact*

From the 24 Legacy trailer it looks like muslims will be in it. Starts February but without Kiefer

i like the agenda behind this post

Dexter was painful to watch after that, why did the show runners leave? Did they get fired or something everything was going so well

I think Kief's new joint is going to have muslim shenanigans too

Funniest thing is there was an episode earlier that season where he was obviously against suicide

Designated Survivor.
I dunno bout muslims but I'll be watching

Kiefer "I'll send them to heaven for 9/11" Sutherland

>it's a lead actress is pregnant so they never show her full body season

>changing episode order
What is their reason for doing this? I don't understand what it could accomplish.

Love these.
>always holding a book or magazine over her stomach
>wearing large dresses
>disappears for a few episodes after giving birth and returns without anyone saying anything

>its a central member of the main cast dies and the show is fucked season

>it's a cancelled without resolution show

>being reminded that John Ritter is dead
Thanks for that one, faglord.

what a boss he is

>it's a central member of the main cast dies and they dedicate an episode to his memory where the cast breaks character in the end and weeps real tears for their lost friend episode

This actually hurts me so much.

WHAT IF

DUDE

WHAT IF PAIJIT WAS A COCKROACH LMAO

True Detective's dip in quality between S1 and S2 was also pretty severe, but not on the level of Heroes.

>it's a lead actress is pregnant so her character becomes pregnant episode

>its the final season and the writers have given up
Dexter was brutal at the end

Kiefer "Islamic state will feel my hate" Sutherland
Kiefer "scotch and ham for uncle Sam" Sutherland
Kiefer "this canuck will stop your truck" Sutherland

Sunny did this the best by far

Bauer Power Hour

s2 ending was 10 times better than s1 and the first few episodes of s1 were 100x better

That's the stance!

That WAS some fancy shooting

>tfw you'll never be in your 50s, and be having fun on vacation with no worries laying down the pipe on 10/10s

>It's honestly hilarious how noticeable it is.
Give me 10 examples.

>the character gets another character's baby inside of her through technobabble shenanigans

You never know.

Looks comfy as fuck.

Xena
Angel
The Vampire Diaries

Is that athletic dad bod?

What show got hit the hardest by writers' strike? I'm torn between Heroes and Friday Night Lights. Heroes was worse, but Friday Night Lights was actually good to begin with.

>it's a Meth Damon Murder episode

It's better than most dad bods 2bh, I wasn't expecting a drunk to be that fit.

>tfw writer's strike killed your favorite comfy show

>it's a clipshow episode

What show actually did these well besides Malcolm in the Middle?

>it's a "we clearly are pushing a progressive liberal agenda" episode

>it's a they finally kiss episode

>it's a "the episode after they finally kiss they say it was a mistake and everything goes back to the exact same as it was before" episode

>character finally has the baby in the season finale.

>it's a look at our new super funny sidekick comic relief character episode

BSG was hit fairly hard, never really regained what made it special

I don't know man, those writer's strike Late Nights were pretty good.

L O S T and Heroes are great examples

> it's a show completely fucks the 4th wall in the ass episode
bros, why is based raimi the king of comfy shows

>Watch Orange is the new Black because its passable and I don't get triggered the progressiveness like you fags
>S3 jumps from topic to topic using the redneck methhead girl as a strawman to shove whatever message they want down our throats like its the only answer

The pro abortion episode was the worst, and I'm pro abortion

>it's a main character dies prematurely because Sean Bean plays him episode/movie

I remember reading the South Park writers crew were unaffected cause none of them were in the WGA. I wonder if it's different for them since it's just Trey that writes the eps and the rest are consultants and producers

>it's a after two seasons of flirting and teasing they finally kiss but then break up two episodes later and suddenly a hot new girl is introduced for the MC to date episode

>it's a lead actress gets pregnant so her character becomes pregnant but her baby dies during child birth so the whole season goes into the trash with a 'it was just a dream' explanation season

>writers strike

>It's a very special episode

>90 posts in
>nobody mentions Breaking Bad season 5

Fucking x files man

>it's a villain dares protagonist to pull the trigger but he doesn't episode

Time to fap.

>it's a Lisa becomes a vegetarian episode

Conan's show was genuinely hilarious during the strike.
