Inside scoop is that louis won't be releasing his scientology doc, lawyers got to him
Source?
Inb4 that guy mimicking scientology shills shows up again itt
Didn't you read? Op typed "inside scoop" in his post. That's good enough for me :^)
My cock got to him too
Wow, Sup Forums really is the place to be!
So he spent 3 years researching to have a documentary containing only recreations?
Fuck it. We all know they are a notch below the sexy sexy fag hating Hillsboro Baptists.
& we've all seen the Master... we can split the difference.
Say what you will about Cruise, but he gives 100% and always brings his A-game
>Inside scoop is that louis won't be releasing his scientology doc, lawyers got to him
Good. I hate "expose documentaries".
Get a life and mind your own business. When's the last time a scientologist has kicked you in the nuts? Zero. How many times has an atheist irritated you online? 99 times and counting.
Pretty sad innit
Bullshit
also he's completely right about psychiatry
The fact that Scientology can and will censor documentaries made about them to this extent says about as much as a documentary in itself.
We have to assume they are hiding some horrific shit to go to all this trouble to cover it up. Since there's no documentary to specify what terrible things they're doing, we can only use our imagination. I'm gonna go with genocidal pedophilia.
In the absence of contrary evidence, I assume they are raping black babies to death in an attempt to wipe out the negro race.
Someone should do something.
God I'd love to bash that fucking weirdo's skull in.
Twitter censors disgusting posts about hillary's health, pretty sure censorship is useful and completely normal when used against baseless attacks.
>mind your own business.
I love how absolutely legitimately cucked, apathetic, and defeatist all of you pathetic pussies are now, holy fuck where is the Sup Forums I know? The Sup Forums of calling people to action, of at least slightly claiming the high ground, not just kissing the boot of our dictators. Fuck you guys.
>implying anyone would be interested in watching his Scientology Movie which is not a documentary at all but just a reactment of what may go on inside without proof
BRAVO
Nice try, but a little too obvious.
I can only give this one a 5 I'm afraid.
>Scientology can and will censor documentaries
This. They've done it so many times throughout the years and guess what? No one ever hears of it because they give the government tons of money.
And you fucking retarded cucks think ONLY GOVERNMENTS can censor. Fucking retarded.
>raping black babies to death in an attempt to wipe out the negro race.
>this is a bad thing
dumb liberal
>scientology
>dictators
nigger they are a small religious group where a few rich celebs go to worship.
If you want to kick the boot of dictators then go and do that to Hillary or an actual Government but Scientology that is a tiny ant in the world
Its the "alt-right"
Dictators are fine as long as they're oppressing people I don't like.
Hi buddy waz sup
kek you do realize that Scientologists are against pedophilia?
They are against abnormal lusts hence the rumors that it is forbidden to be a homosexual if you are a Scientologist.
wall of fire trips of truth
But it is true. The first thing that Scientologists say to you if you try to interview them in public is "I hope your internet search is clean".
He stills a scientologist only because they had all his life in their hands.
the alt-right that has taken over from the libertarians is made of angry ineffectual manbabies

>hi i'm louis theroux, i'm with the bbc
>GO AWAY
>i'd just like to talk for a little while about-
>NO GO AWAY
>my attempts to get scientologists to open up were proving rather pointless and i was beginning to feel discouraged
>*some time later*
>i'm a scientologist
>great, would you mind telling us a bit about your experiences?
>only off camera, off the record and completely anonymously
>erm...
>in the absence of any interviews and footage, i decided to piece together the information i had gathered and make a recreation of what is most likely happening in scientology
>SHUT IT DOWN
>oh hello again, would you mind-
>GOVERNMENT HELP ME LOUIS IS OPPRESSING MY RELIGION
After watching this documentary I have lost all respect for Mr. Theroux. It opens your eyes and shows you just what kind of insidious little man this Mr. Theroux actually is. He follows no ethics and has no journalistic integrity. Rather he is nothing more than a sensationalist and slimy baiter.
1 thetan has been deposited into your soul
Nope. He can leave at any time without any consequence besides being denied Scientology.
If he leaves and starts talking shit about them, that's another story. But otherwise he's free to leave if he really doesn't want to ever have access to Scientology ever again.
There's also the fact that he's viewed as a valuable asset and CofS will bend over backwards to make sure he's happy and wants to stay in. That's probably the main reason why he stays in, if you refuse to accept the notion that he might just really enjoy Scientology and find it beneficial.
Why should I believe anything someone says in defence of Scientology? They silence their critics so it's safe to assume they lie about what they're doing. You can't prove you aren't a Scientologist, lying about what goes on therefore I can only speculate.
The more you deny it the more I will assume I'm right about it.
part of Scientology is telling them basically every secret there is about you and if you don't do that you can't advance further up the tiers, they use this to blackmail you into staying in the religion
I know about PC folders. There's no proof they're used for blackmail. Even apostates don't make that claim. The Church will shred your PC folder if you really want nothing to do with Scientology ever again.
Now, if you leave and start attacking Scientology, you are fair game and will be disposed of quietly and without sorrow, because they're not a turn-the-other-cheek religion. Don't start none, won't be none.
even trolling to defend Scientology is pretty reprehensible user, stop this bait immediately
>scientology is bad because the media tells me so!
Xenu be praised
I actually live in an area with a lot of them and have spoken to both former and current members... meanwhile you're trolling to defend an organization that literally kidnaps people who try to escape
i love shillposting
I'd believe this coming from a Louis Theroux documentary.
However, you are an anonymous person online defending Scientology, I have to assume you are biased, and people biased in favour of Scientology actively censor documentaries about them. That kind of cover up is dishonest, therefore I can't trust any word I hear in defence of Scientology until it comes from a verifiably independent source (eg. Louis Theroux).
Scientology fucked themselves by shutting down the BBC's commentary on them, now we can only speculate, and people tend to assume the worst when someone is hiding something that has to be kept hidden by intimidation ("fair game") and the law.
So-called "deprogrammers" (anti-church operatives) are the ones who kidnap people.
Also, staff are treated a lot differently from public, do you even grok the difference? Claiming staff are treated harshly or mistreated is like claiming ascetic monks are mistreated because they live under strict rules and guidelines in pursuit of their spiritual philosophy.
>the jonestown victims drank the kool aid of their own free will, nothing to see here
Last time the Church gave access to the BBC they ignored all of the information proffered by actual Scientologists, did nothing but attack the Church, and then John Sweeney had a nuclear meltdown on camera. Can you blame them for washing their hands of this organization? I'm completely neutral on the subject of Scientology, and I don't.
you're shilling for free for an evil organization on a friday night
>evil
>scientology is bad because the media tells me [REDACTED]!
Actually, I'm completely neutral on the subject of Scientology.
>censoring yourself on an anonymous wallpaper forum
Yes all those Sea Org people are basically like monks. It's just that they get locked the fuck up in the brig if they want to leave.
john oliver
>wahhh this isn't like the Sup Forums I knew last year with all the cool raids and stuff!
Get real kid, same 'anonymous is legion' faggot, different era
>John Sweeney had a nuclear meltdown on camera
The meltdown that was caused by the Scientologist being a knob
anonymous grew up and got a job
1. The person you're responding to is a Scientology shill.
2. We're not cucked, apathetic or defeatist, the front-runner for President is literally our guy. We have bigger fish to fry these days than ordering eighty pizzas to a bigot's house.
I saw that Panorama documentary and it was obvious that Sweeney and his sources were stalked and harassed from day one. The usually calm and reasonable Sweeney was driven past breaking point by the Scientologist assigned to sabotage his investigation.
Watch his meltdown again and this time watch the reaction of Scientologist Tommy Davis. He's not shocked, embarrassed or even surprised by Sweeney's outburst. This is because, over the course of the investigation he had taken Sweeney to that point personally and was right there with him.
youtube.com
Tommy's lie about having seen the beginning of one of Sweeney's interviews was the straw that broke the camel's back, after constantly interrupting and sabotaging all of Panorama's interviews with former Scientologists.
What is objectively the worst thing Scientology has done?
murder
their carbon footprint is massive
Source? Going Clear got published with no roadblocks and HBO picked it up for a documentary that also got released. Scienos have been pissing away their money trying to stay afloat with the handful of members they have left.
Christ, you OSA guys are thicker than I remember. Kindly fuck off until you learn how to properly D&C. Flunk.
Murder and espionage, probably.
This is it in a nutshell
Voting Trump
>holy fuck where is the Sup Forums I know? The Sup Forums of calling people to action
The last thing you mentioned brought Sup Forums down you idiot.
I thought journalists were supposed to be tough and smart. Yelling at the top of one's lungs in a clearly unstable and insane manner in response to words is indefensible for a regular person, much less an avatar of the BBC.
If it's your position that the Church is so powerful that Sweeney's psychotic break was the result of their deliberate premeditated actions, then why don't they just handle Louis in the same way? Is it because he's too canny to fall for it? (He fell for the hugging guru in his Weird Weekends doco about Indian enlightenment) Or maybe it's because they like him? Or are they scared of him? Your thoughts?

>This project included a series of infiltrations and thefts from 136 government agencies, foreign embassies and consulates, as well as private organizations critical of Scientology, carried out by Church members in more than 30 countries.[1] It was one of the largest infiltrations of the United States government in history,[2] with up to 5,000 covert agents. This operation also exposed the Scientology plot 'Operation Freakout', because Operation Snow White was the case that initiated the US government investigation of the Church.
>Under [Operation: Snow White], Scientology operatives committed infiltration, wiretapping, and theft of documents in government offices, most notably those of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Eleven highly placed Church executives, including Mary Sue Hubbard (wife of founder L. Ron Hubbard and second-in-command of the organization), pleaded guilty and were convicted in federal court of obstructing justice, burglary of government offices, and theft of documents and government property.
en.wikipedia.org
>Operation Freakout, also known as Operation PC Freakout, was a Church of Scientology covert plan intended to have the U.S. author and journalist Paulette Cooper imprisoned or committed to a psychiatric hospital. The plan, undertaken in 1976 following years of church-initiated lawsuits and covert harassment, was meant to eliminate the perceived threat that Cooper posed to the church and obtain revenge for her publication in 1971 of a highly critical book, The Scandal of Scientology. The Federal Bureau of Investigation discovered documentary evidence of the plot and the preceding campaign of harassment during an investigation into the Church of Scientology in 1977, eventually leading to the church compensating Cooper in an out-of-court settlement.
anything not older than your mom?
I want SIDF to leave
>This documentary is playing in my cinema but Japan's Godzilla is not
FUCKING WHY
I want your theater
He should make sure it gets "leaked" as a big fuck you to them
His faux naivete has been broken before, by the Indian hugging guru and also in a different way by Max Clifford. The SA Hunting guy also achieved impasse even if he didn't foil Theroux. He's not invulnerable.
Oh no, some guy who didn't get any footage for his documentary leaked some reenactments
Their most notorious exploits were in the 70s. Among other things, they stole the stationery of an author who had written a critical book and used it to forge a bomb threat in her name, with her fingerprints on the paper. She was prosecuted and wasn't exonerated until the feds raided them in connection with their breaking into gov't offices to find out what the feds had on them. A number of Scientos were sent to prison including Mrs. Hubbard.
Flunk. Keep this up and you'll be getting a sec check first thing tomorrow.
These days they mainly just shitpost on Sup Forums
See: This thread
>implying they are not just reverse baiters ;^)
Islam destroyed the World Trade Center in 2001 and is murdering people broadcasted on social media in 2016, but yeah stealing stationery in the 1970s is pretty concerning
pussy hope he kills himself
>Yelling at the top of one's lungs in a clearly unstable and insane manner in response to words is indefensible for a regular person
Everyone has a breaking point. You can clearly see that Tommy isn't allowing Sweeney to speak at all, talking over him and ruining his work, as he had been doing for the making of the whole documentary. Sweeney's trying to make a documentary film and this guy keeps appearing and interrupting the process, talking over everyone and spoiling the investigation. There's only so much you can expect a man to take before he loses his temper.
>why don't they just handle Louis in the same way?
Maybe Theroux was actually easier to thwart than Sweeney, and they had to go to extreme lengths to try to discredit Sweeney rather than simply blocking the release of his program. Or maybe Theroux had learned from what happened to Sweeney and was prepared for it. I don't claim to know all the methods used by Scientology, but their motive is clear. They are scared of the truth about their "church" being broadcast.
>wahhhh scientology is doing what the u.s. government does to other people and institutions!
this kind of makes me want to root for them tbqhwy fuck the u.s. government
There is nothing wrong with being a Scientologist.
After that, they seemed to dial the craziness level down to "medium crazy." Among other things, people's pets would disappear or be found dead under odd circumstances. One of their standard things, continuing to the present day, is to rent an apartment or house near where a critic lives to surveil and keep tabs on the critic. They're a wealthy organization and can hire private investigators and lawyers to harass and retaliate against people.
>the truth
The thing is, thousands of Scientologists were available to Sweeney to interview. He didn't want to use their testimonies because they supported Scientology. He was only interested in dirt!
How is that objective, fair, or rational to only seek out bad aspects and ignore anyone who claims to like it?
Why do critics insist that the truth about Scientology must always be 100% negative and no positive opinion can ever be considered? Say something even neutral about the Church and at best you're pretending to be a shill, at worst you're brainwashed.
You're not allowed to genuinely like Scientology. Reminds me of the general reaction to Donald Trump support, as portrayed by the media, the same media Sweeney and Theroux are a part of.
Also Louis and Sweeney are approaching it from totally different angles. I don't know why, but obviously the CoS refused to participate with Louis, so instead he's basically baiting them to come and fuck with him so he can get them on camera.
1 thetan has been deposited into your soul
>Do an investigation on a secretive organization accused of using underhanded tactics on dissenters
>Actually try to get someone to shed some light on those rumors
Yea what a hit piece by the liberal media. I wonder why he wouldn't just air 8 hours of CoS members all reciting the same talking points about how great the church is.
The US Government is the official representation of the American people. When you subvert the US Govt. you are effectively subverting America itself at the highest level.
Sure, they're not always honest or representative of the will of the people, but that doesn't make them "fair game."
See? Total dehumanization of Scientology practitioners, their opinions completely disregarded because it's not acceptable to follow this religious belief.
Posted by an user, that's just a shitpost, but this is the actual attitude of the so-called fifth estate.
Until recently they were being sued in Texas by a former high level Sciento official and his wife for harassment. The Church rented a house near where the couple lived and paid for some followers to live there. Their fulltime job was to follow the couple in public and verbally harangue and harass them. They consulted with a local lawyer to make sure they didn't violate the criminal law. The police were called on them a couple of times but these people are fanatics and are not intimidated by the government or public opinion. The Church was sued for violating the civil law, but the lawsuit was abruptly dropped without explanation, and the former official has started defending the Church, leading to speculation that the Church got to them somehow.
>When you subvert the US Govt. you are effectively subverting America itself at the highest level.
in other words the u.s. govt doesn't like the competition because subverting the american people is their job
>Sure, they're not always honest or representative of the will of the people, but that doesn't make them "fair game."
it absolutely does. A government that does not represent your interests, steals from you and tramples your rights has absolutely no moral authority over you and the only reason you obey it's rules and recognize it as an authority is because it has the force on its side to back it up. That's called being a bully.
No, it's called an investigation.
Did the people investigating sex abuse claims in the Catholic church just give up after a few priests said it never happened? Does that mean that the reporters have an agenda and hate all Catholics?
You're delusional.
>they are raping black babies to death in an attempt to wipe out the negro race
>Someone should do something
why?
Oh right, I forgot I'm browsing Sup Forumsmblr
>Scientology practitioners, their opinions completely disregarded
Good investigative journalism aims for objectivity. Describing an organisation by repeating the praises of its members is the opposite of objective reporting.

My Scientology Movie is a documentary film about Scientology written by and starring Louis Theroux. Directed by John Dower, it premiered at the London Film Festival on 14 October 2015 and received highly positive reviews from critics.
