The David Ayer-directed DC villain ensemble is still pacing ahead of August’s previous highest-grossing movie,Guardians of the Galaxyby 7%. That 2014 Marvel movie finaled at $333.2M.
Hope you guys enjoy random songs in Justice League
Cooper Evans
Doesn't matter, It needs FOUR HUNDRED TRILLION HARAMBE DOLLARS to break even
Sebastian Harris
cant wait for 'paint it black' to start playing as batman prowls the city
James Edwards
>Suicide Squad on Suicide Watch
Kek
Also Margot Robbie irritates me in all these publicity photos where she's trying to do a le quirky fun face, I feel like her eyes should be wider so she actually looks psychotic instead of random trailer trash
Camden Wright
kys yourself
Jaxson Foster
reminder this is more proof that meme marketing is the best way to go deadpool had meme marketing and now its the highest grossing r rated flick
Gabriel Hall
Deadpool also had like...half the budget of Suicide Squad I think.
Kayden Butler
Normies love memes.
Chase Robinson
>Today #SuicideSquad will surpass ManOfSteel at domestic #boxoffice. May get near $298M by #LaborDay going to about $310M. Poor MoS.
William Davis
Well, that movie sucked. Joker was not needed there, Amanda Waller was not fat, soundtrack was cringy as fuck and all of it was gay and not rad at all
Matthew Reed
wtf i hate memes now
Parker Gomez
why?
decent Cinematic Universe opener It made way more than Iron Man, to put things into perspective.
Ryan Jones
A bad movie made money? That never happens!
Andrew Sanchez
What the hell was this movie?
Anthony Williams
I don't get why normies think this shit is at all edgy to like. They think its different, but the taglines read like a shitty deviant art OC fic. It's PG-13 for Christ's sake.
Elijah Jackson
Harley Quinn isn't psychotic fuck wad.
Daniel Edwards
This actually wasn't an awful movie. I'm unironically sort of excited for The Last Knight, even if the last 3 outings were terrible.
Camden Flores
I feel you. I'll always watch these movies and sort of enjoy them
Joseph Ward
>it's going to be the last I shouldn't feel this bad, but I do
Josiah Price
It'll be Bay's last, but not the last movie in the franchise, there's already a Transformers 6 and a Bumblebee spin-off in the works.
Bear in mind, this is the third or fourth time Bay says he's only doing one more and walking away.
Adrian Myers
>kill yourself yourself
Alexander Butler
WB must be so confused all this money but all those bad reviews which instinct should they go with
Jordan Miller
Fuck the critics and just make more fun villain movies.
Landon Jenkins
You know what i find funny af? A week or so before SS, journos and the usual interweb filth, us, were shilling the narrative that more and more big studios were paying attention to RT scores and then SS comes out and completely shits all over that faggotry.
Christopher Jones
Then why is Power Girl so worried?
Jacob Wright
I wouldn't mind a camp flick like suicide squad if it didn't start off as AyersKino.
Either let Ayer do his thing or go FULL camp
Connor Gray
Really makes you think.
Landon Evans
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. (often referred to as Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. or just simply WB) is an American entertainment company. As one of the major film studios, it is a division of Time Warner, with its headquarters in Burbank, California.
Isaiah Fisher
>that burn rip in peace
Gavin Edwards
harsh, but i wonder what does he say about 1 star movies if that's a 2.
Justin Walker
>rest in peace in peace
Ryder Scott
>Crushingly puerile semi-pornographic slog
Jose Myers
"le quirky fun face" is basically Harley Quinn in a nutshell. She captures the character very well.
Gabriel Mitchell
Harley is gonna shove her bat up her ass, obviously. If it isn't already in, judging by Power Girl's face.
Noah Brooks
Sup new guy
Jayden Ramirez
She's wondering how a woman can be shorter, flatter and uglier than her yet still completely superior in every way
Lincoln Wright
and so the age of movies that make coherent sense draws to a close
Samuel Watson
It's a meme you retard. RIP in peace, is anyone actually stupid enough to say that? Probably, but usually it's ironic bro.
Justin Jackson
It's a meme you dip
Adrian Lee
I bet you're the same nitpicking dweeb in irl.
Isaac Foster
Emperor Trump confirmed?
Colton Hill
>Harley >fat >ugly I get not liking her but come on.
Nolan Bennett
>actually
Doesn't make it a good movie, shit taste pleb faggot.
Liam Carter
Read it again
It says "flat"
Harley is in that rare demographic of women with smaller tits than Power Girl, an exclusive club shared only by every other woman in the universe
Jaxon Peterson
I'd legitimately enjoy seeing a DKR-style sequence of Batman wrecking criminals set to When the Man Comes Around.
Wyatt Carter
Make the next Suicide Squad movie actually be like the trailers for the first one.
We basically need an amoral Scott Pilgrim movie. Edgar Wright would do an amazing job if the studio guaranteed not to buttfuck him like Marvel did.
Hunter Kelly
I used to say that, then I re-watched it. The only decent part of Transformers 1 is the action and the transformer only sections, everything else is terrible.
Asher Taylor
This is a great flick though
>le michael bay is bad meme
Alexander Collins
predict how triggered avclub will be this monday?
Robert Cox
She does, but she does so in a way that makes my pants feel funny in a way that cartoon Harley never has. I am deeply in lust with this Harley.
Benjamin Walker
Would be amazing if he doesn't take eight years to start writing the script.
Jaxson Kelly
>rated Neon Demon 5/5 >rated Ghostbusters 4/5 >rated Marvels Captain Americaman 3: The Civil War 5/5 rated War Dogs 2/5 what did he mean by this?
>rating Neon Demon anything about 1/5 >"Kinosseur"
Elijah Wright
>he hates Kino Demon
Evan Gutierrez
Iron man also had a slightly smaller budget, and didn't come out at a time when superhero movies were the new big thing(obviously, since Iron Man was what kickstarted the whole capeshit thing)
It also wasn't riding on the coattails of an earlier movie that ridiculously well all things considered (Deadpool).
Aiden Sullivan
its god awful if you knew anything
Daniel Torres
>it's a people who don't agree with my opinion are all stupid episode
Parker Long
Sounds like he is addicted to money. I'm only addicted to alcohol, wish I was more jewish in that regard.
Matthew Walker
We may have harnessed enough meme magic to create a world where every future Vietnam movie uses It Ain't Me
Jackson Jackson
And inflation adjustment puts Iron Man back over it.
Eli Baker
Oh, it was Iron Man that kickstarted the whole capeshit thing? Color me surprised.
Jaxson Cox
It was spider-man tho
Juan Sanders
Spider-Man was just Spider-Man. Iron Man started up the idea of Comic Universe movies that all relate to each other which even DC had to get it on it.
Ethan Rivera
>Pay attention, . This is how adults acknowledge a point.
You're right. I totally forgot that Raimi's films predated Begins.
If you want to get really technical, there's nothing all that original about the concept of films set in a cinematic universe, either. It was ambitious, but basically all sequel film franchises are cinematic universes. The first cinematic universe occurred in the late 60s and early 70s with the Planet of the Apes films.
Hell, the Exorcist franchise is a cinematic universe, too. Same holds true of the Alien franchise.
Andrew Robinson
You're a dumbass. Thor and Incredible Hulk are not sequels to Iron Man. But the all are in the same cinematic universe where they meet each other and even all group up in the Avengers movies. Same with Suicide Squad not being a sequel to Man of Steel or Batman v Superman, but it's all in the cinematic universe where the movies characters and stories line up with each other.
Asher Cruz
Still not original. She-Ra wasn't a sequel to He-Man, but shared the same universe.
James Stewart
Universal Monster movies were all set in the same universe but not sequels of one another. Same with Toho monster movies, Friday 13th being set in the same universe as Nightmare on Elm Street, Frasier and Cheers etc.
