The 90's was the best decade probably

Pick one.

But user, THEY ARE good

You forgot metal

>first wave post rock
Not a real genre, just an umbrella term for 90s experimental rock and krautrock revival artists.

There are similarities between krautrock and post rock i agree.

But it's not quiet the same thing

i hate the krautrock meme

That's because first wave post rock is not a real thing.

But it's true

So how would you define pic related

>extreme metal & hardcore punk
>a new generation of jazz musicians: Brad Mehldau, Jason Moran, Vijay Iyer, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Stefon Harris, Roy Hargrove

I still prefer the 60s though

Experimental rock

>''electronic''

I was thinking about things like Boards Of Canada, Autechre, The Future Sound of London, The Orb, Aphex twin, Underworld etc

Dont you dare to forget screamo.

10/10 album of the millennium

Why didn't you just write 'rock' for these then?

I can already guess your taste in every genre you listed
it's absolutely atrocious

Because if i just said "90's rock music" everyone would assume grunge and pearl jam

grunge is fucking garbage.

Listen to Anthony Fantano praising Nirvana for almost 20 minutes, maybe it will change your mind

youtube.com/watch?v=r9gIGBuF6ao

(i'm half joking here. of course a fantano review alone shouldn't change your mind. i just want you to give it another chance)

Experimental rock is even less a genre than first wave post-rock.

...

I don't care for Fantano's opinion
maybe i'll give grunge another go, but it hurts to listen, mainly because i've heard too much buttrock influenced by it, during my teenage years..

Experimental rock is not a genre, just like first wave post rock, but at least it's not a meaningless term.
If you want to be more accurate then late Talk Talk are their own rock subgenre.

>Nirvana
>Fantano
Holy shit, you are as much of a pleb as you used to be a few years ago.

Fantano is better than Scaruffi and p4k

Nirvana were a great band, just because they are mainstream doesn't make them bad

they all suck m8

Nah.
I disagree with fantano alot of the time, but he doesn't suck.

If anything i'd say Fantano isn't a shill or an elitist and more down to earth, unlike p4k and scattufi

Scaruffi is miles above Fantano and p4k (they are about the same anyways).
Also, Nirvana are okay, regardless of popularity.

Do you honestly believe pic related is the greatest album of all time, like scaruffi does

shoegaze is the only good one.

Scaruffi also gave pic related 5/10 btw.

He is shitty with electronic music

No. I think the best rock album ever is TVU&N.
Even then, TMR is my 4th favorite album ever.
So, what's your point?

That's because he's right. Tim Hecker is a hack. Also, you don't know shit about electronic music except for IDM and similar album driven electronic music.
