Magnificent seven, once upon a time in the west. Pretty much most Sergio Leone movies

...

Django Unchained is stetsonkino

The Wild Bunch
Ride the High Country
Tombstone
McCabe and Mrs. Miller
The Long Riders
The Outlaw Josey Wales
High Plains Drifter
Hang 'Em High

(Older must expect a little corniness, but surprisingly well shot stuff considering the time it was shot)

The Searchers
Stagecoach
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
Shane
High Noon
Red River
Rio Bravo

Unforgiven

Hell or High Water.

Whatever you do, be prepared once you have watched all the great Italian Westerns, there is not much left. Most American Westerns suck.

bloody marlene if you can find it

3:10 to Yuma

I'll agree with you about John Wayne movies being corny, but I never felt High Noon was. But it was excellent.

Ever watch any Kurosawa movies?
If i'm not mistaken, a fistful of dollars was a remake of Yojimbo
Would also recommend Sanjuro, Rashomon, and of course Seven Samurai

Hey guys, what's that one where John Wayne has a sidekick that can't shoot, so Wayne gives him a shotgun and calls him Mississippi?

Underrated western right here
