Could you be any more of a special snowflake? I understand, you can branch out when it comes to stuff like this, but are you seriously, seriously claiming that you have no spot on your 3x3 for at least one critically acclaimed movie like the Godfather?

What's a good place to start with Ophuls?

...

godfather is crap, manlet wop gyppo boy

Kill yourself. For real.

Prepare to be mad. All these post 1970 mainstream movies in colour.

Sorry I'm not gonna lie about the films I like for you to like my chart, those are the 9 films I love the most
Why ask for titles if you're going to be an asshole when I post them?
Also I do like critically acclaimed movies
Chronologically

back to the slum you go

>Sorry I'm not gonna lie about the films I like for you to like my chart
This doesn't make any sense, you drooling retard. People lie by posting lesser known movies they've seen, so that they look "patrician".

kek

letter from an unknown women, then watch again when u finish his films

no need to be mad

i might watch fear and loathing tomorrow

wew

Fuckin sick trolling well done user

You sure showed me with that reaction image.

I am serious, you circlejerking retard.

Well fuck those people and fuck you then
I love the films in my chart, I don't give a shit about looking patrician when most films in my 3x3 are well known between people who are into film
Akerman, rivette, straub, rivette and fucking Godard and Ophlus are well known and a lot of people like their films without lying about it, these threads aren't for you capeshit eater

>Godard
True.
>Akerman, rivette, straub, rivette, ophlus
>well-known
Are you fucking retarded?

pleb baby is insecure and mad lel

Titles?

These threads are literally for people to feel better about how non-mainstream the films they watch are. Like it's some huge accomplishment Googling directors and watching a movie.

If people were honest in these threads the 3x3s would look more like this
than this

Are you this fucking insecure you don't know about film?

What's bottom right?
Also
>picking Fitzcarraldo over Aguirre
Why?

I agree, although the other 3x3 you're referring to (the black and white one) is bait.

I repeat the question - are you fucking retarded?
Kurosawa is well-known.
Fellini is well-known.
Lang is well-known.
Hitchcock is fucking well-known.
All of those you named other than Godard are not well-known, you drooling fucking moron.

so much insecurity in this post desu

...

Rivette and ophlus are not well known?
Look them up
and if you still think I'm lying because you don't know the films you should stop being so insecure
And maybe watch the films so you understand why people like them more than fucking godfather and wall e

Us go home
Berlin horse
Colossal youth

I..dreaming
Mr thank you
Landscape suicide

A matter of life and death
Julien donkey boy
The green Ray

>Rivette
>not well known.
lol they literally show his films in telly here, I mean I'm half sure that my father and mother know him too.

t. East Europe

This post reeks of Reddit

i think the effort that goes into these 3x3s is adorable

>screenshot a film
>click file from the website
umm..?

Didn't realize I replied to my own post
Julien donkey user what did you think of the neon demon?

it's always some weird screenshot that's hard to recognize so people have to ask what movie it is though
that's what sweet imo

these are are cool, but top left is a fucking cool picture to me

Names? Specially top right and bottom right
thanks

thanks alot, was this for college?

thats really interesting

i really didnt think much of the neon demon and its pretty annoying that i had a shitty experience, thought it was going to be a lot better

Didn't like the neon demon at all, very un passionate overall
Also the talk was at my local cinematheque, we projected it then it was a q and a with the audience, I think it went pretty well and it felt good
Going to do another one next month on Carne's children of paradise
It's fun
Also bought kanji nakajima's fe and the box which was nice

I probably won't re watch neon tho

Did you like OGF ? I tought neon demon was a step down from OGF

awesome, definitely will check it out

mubi.com/lists/crazed-fruit

this is a good list for anyone who isn't looking for recs

Of the films I saw this summer, these are my favorites.

>phantom of the paradise & dragon inn
nice

You familiar with De palma or King hu ?

I've seen many, but not all of De Palma's films. I saw the documentary De Palma a few weeks ago. Dragon Inn was my first King Hu.

I can't understand for the life of me why people like Welles's unfinished and virtually unapproved Magnificent Ambersons.

It's such an obvious colossal fuck up and the happy ending rewrite is one of the worst in Hollywood history.

Its still Welles.

not his cut so it barely is.

this is a little out dated

Why is the bottom row full of garbage

I-I like D-De Palma....

.__.

Like your mom

Thanks for the rec; Tarkovsky is my favorite director and i think i will enjoy this Lopushanksy
since they're both russian

imdb.com/title/tt2144017/

Titles?

Because you and I have different aesthetic preferences when it comes to films.

Spirit of the beehive
Train of shadows
Voices through time

Son nom de venise dans Calcutta desert
On an empty balcony
Fe

Out 1
Eyes without a face
Hovering over the water

Just finished watching Lola Montes

>Heaven's Gate
Come on.

And what did you think of it?

Is a good film?

...

...

dumb Sup Forumsmu/ crossposting kiddies

I quite enjoyed Heaven's Gate. Its a shame it killed UA.

...

"Bresson" sucks
