Is there anyway to draw a Japanese person in the name style without them looking smug as shit?

Theatre list where?

How has there not been a camrip yet? Its in china for goodness sake?

>mfw somebody already bought tickets and took the best two seats

>it's an amorphous blob fish that constantly grows and evolves as it sprays blood from it's gills and shoots lasers out of it's back and drops spooky skeleton men off of it's tail
In what way is that thing "Godzilla"

>Big spines on back
>Vaguely humanoid reptilian
>Breathes radiation
That's good enough

OO OOOOOO OO OOOO
OOOH NO
THERE GOES TOKYO
GO GO GODZILLA!!!

where's the torrent, familia?

>yfw this scene

I can't stand the design of the MUTOs. It's like the concept artist ran out of ideas when he was designing the heads, but the director picked it anyway.

yeah the huge multi-legged,red bioluminescent creature concept reminded me immediately of the monsters from the movie this director made prior to godzilla

they dont look like octopi you fucker

>Japanese pop culture site RO65 called the film a "masterpiece of unprecedented filmmaking", feeling that the film retains a "strong respect for the fundamental message within Godzilla".[51][50] Oricon Style praised directors Hideaki Anno's and Shinji Higuchi's realistic approach and the film's reality vs. idealism themes, calling the film a "world class" Godzilla film.[52][50] Cinema Today called the film a "thrilling experience" and a "masterpiece", feeling that the film was a return to form similar to 2004's Dawn of the Dead.[53][50] Kazuo Ozaki from Eiga.com praised the film as well, stating, "Hollywood, even with all its money, can’t approach this kind of perfection"[16] while Koichi Irikura from Cinema Today called it a "birth of a masterpiece that boldly announces the revival of a Japanese Godzilla".[16]

yeah they don't at all look like octopi with trapezoid heads at all, I don't know what I was thinking

YES GOD DAMN IT

I WANT TO SEE IT NOW

I NEED IT IN MY LIFE

well they dont. they dont have tentacles. theyre not floating. theyre like giant bugs

I don't recall the aliens in monsters floating but they're black, have 8 legs, glow red, and fight the military. It seems like they've got more in common than not to me at least.

...

one 4 one 6. the male walks on 4 legs and has wings. the female doesnt have wings so those limbs are used as legs

they dont glow either or fight the military. they just pick up nukes and fuck off

that's some serious nitpicking, the wings on the male are the same legs but with a membrane. They each have 8 limbs.

I'm like 95% sure there are scenes with the female actively fighting footsoldiers

Why does the first girl look like she's getting turned on?

Is that Nargacuga

>serious nitpicking
>colossal bug monsters are the same as giant octopuses so theyre bad
the one who did the nitpicking was you buddy. and its not nitpicking top fucking point out the differences between these two different kinds of creatures

Fandango, I think, saw it in an article the other day.

Alamo Drafthouse, 20 minutes from my house. It's fucking on like donkey kong.

Can't fucking wait for this

Also I wonder if RLM will cover it?

Isn't this suppose to be like a Jap anti-american flick?

Do Americans enjoy watching flicks that shit on their shitty country?

so defensive just because I pointed out numerous similarities between 2 creature designs from the same director, I never said that they were "bad" at any point. you sound like you have difficulty not dismissing other viewpoints when you think they conflict with yours

Pure, unadulterated, kaijukino

I dunno about anti-american, perhaps anti-nuclear proliferation at most

I wish death upon both the persons who draw these things and those who enjoy them

Im sorry.

>numerous similarities between 2 creature designs
multiple legs is literally all you have. i dont have an issue accepting other viewpoints. i only have a problem accepted blatant stupidity. i mean, this is just the worst fucking bait i have ever seen

>i never said they were bad
you agreed with someone who said they were bad. he didnt like them, you agreed and said that they also reminded you of octopuses because you have brain problems

Why do you care so much about what Americans think or feel if they are so shitty?

t. mexican

They remind me of bats or maybe some kind of edgy version of a praying mantis.

Whoever thinks these resemble octopi or the monsters from monsters must have some kind of advanced version of autistic facial blindness desu

Justin Lin better not disappoint with Space Jam 2.

so I'm guessing you're baiting out of boredom or you're a contrarian autist, either way it sure has been fun pointlessly humoring your attention deficit

just the americans shit on other countries

closet scalie

>October 3 in Los Angeles

lessgo

I recall reading a post from an user who saw it saying it was like the Japan version of Red Dawn. Not the first time there's been anti-american sentiment/jingoism in a Hideaki Anno work either.

Just curious. I'm assuming most who will go to view it outside Japan will be Americans as well considering it's being rolled out in theatres there.

>nothing in the bay area
They just haven't announced all the showings yet, right?
r-right?

Well the release day is official, I'd keep checking as we get closer. I can't imagine a big west coast market like that being ignored.
