So, after the recent threads here I rewatched the first few episodes of Enterprise. A few thoughts.
Archer shouldn't have been in command to start. He should have been the chief engineer. He was all tech talk and stuff, really. They had him give up on his space racism at the end of episode 2. That was also a mistake.
T'Pol was a mistake all together. They wanted her to be stern, but every single character convinced her to change her mind about something important at least once. I'd have cut her *entirely* most likely. They could have just replaced her with just a few random hot chick red shirts for groovy decom time and nothing of value would have been lost.
Travis seemed like he had potential in the first couple of episodes, and we all know how that turned out. He was just *there* after that. They should have either done something with him or done without.
I liked Malcom, and Hoshi. No comment.
Trip should have been in command with a few changes. He was gregarious and kind of dim. I'd have killed him off after a while (season finale or something) and then had Archer or (Not T'Pol) the vulcan take over. You know, to show that shit has consequences.
>Malcom It's "Malcolm". Why is this such a difficult name for nonwhites to spell correctly?
Ryan Collins
I'm on my phone. I'm surprised that's the only error. And lol, you take being a grammar nazi seriously, don't you? Pointing out spelling errors with racism, noice.
Tyler Young
shut up nigger
Tyler Adams
...
Jack Johnson
So
It's either that one Next Gen episode is not canon or the Entire Voyager is not canon
You choose
James Ward
I bet five dollary doos that one of these two dudes is black.
Justin Thomas
It seems a weird mistake. Did Voyager ever address that stuff at all?
Camden Cooper
They didn't want to pay royalties to the guy that wrote that episode so they just changed his name and thought nobody would notice.
Liam Williams
Sounds about right.
I really am watching the show and kind of wanted to shoot the shit about it.
Lucas Jackson
Wait till jeff shows up possibly the only good thing about it
Isaac Brown
Oops. That was the wrong pic. Luckily it was a bad crop of what I intended and not my dick.
Nicholas Perez
>I'd kill off Trip
Christopher Clark
Power pockets!
Gabriel Ramirez
Which season are you on?
Nathan Hughes
T'pol and Doctor were the best characters in the series. I hated Trip.
Kayden Gomez
>killing off the best character on the show >killing off bestboy
Christopher Gray
Trip had a hard life.
Mason Jenkins
haha lol prime goof there mate
So, I thought I'd share the second trailer for the upcoming Zombie movie called The One: Operation Fallout.
If you could leave any feedback in the youtube comments please do. Again, Keep it riggid folks.
Plenty of actors have played multiple roles on Trek it's not a big dealio
Isaac Turner
I love that they tied trip's story with Michael Kenmore in the books, that was such a sweet little touch.
Dominic Powell
Trip was the heart and sole of that show. I really wish the show had focused more on him and how he tries to help Archer than making Archer the lead.
Angel Reyes
He made everyone around him more likable which was really strange for me. Characters I normally couldn't stand became better or even comedic like Malcolm. When they're stuck on ship together in fourth season actually gave him a little personality and character growth. Observer effect kind of encapsulated a lot of their strengths as actors and writing allowed them to step out of their usual roles in a way that freed them, they needed more of that.
Jose Kelly
Malcolm was insufferable. I get that they were trying to do a Bashir thing with him being arrogant but becoming humble but they missed that second part. I hated Malcolm till the end.
Easton Bennett
I had the same feeling but it softened a little at times, though I'm more sympathetic now than I had been in the beginning. Strange that more news that comes out for new series, the less I like it.
Jaxon Carter
The problem was Bashir had real problems and he worked them out. Malcolm was just a dick who kind of became less of a dick.
Blake Allen
I watched them when they were on tv, but don't really remember them all that well apparently. On ep. 4 right now.
Chase Brooks
Malcolm was in a shit situation. He was responsible for keeping a bunch of pacifists ready to fight for their lives.
>Sir, we need some time to get our weapons shit straight.
"Fuck that, we got shit to do."
Twenty minutes later
"Get those torpedoes working or we're all going to die millions of miles away from home!"
>Fuck you sir. I mean I got it. Somehow.
Caleb Cook
I kind of feel like this is true which made him butting heads with the head maco kind of great.
I didn't really like the first season, and only liked a handful between the first two seasons. The first shran episode in season 2, or it may be Shadows of P'Jem, whichever episode is the monastery one, then his episode in season 2, and the trip ones mostly.
That was kind of his role though, it grounded the show because honestly it was the first star trek that felt sort of real to me. It seemed like humans were altogether too nice in the other series. Even the scoundrels and betrayers and generally the scum never really came off as really bad people, not really.
Kayden Lopez
His role was to be a dick that no one liked?
John Thomas
Honestly, I kind of think so.
Nicholas Peterson
man, that is a tiny tv for that distance
Samuel Lewis
Well that doesn't make good tv now does it?
Adrian Sanchez
I honestly think when people write dick roles, they're shooting for something like House but aren't coming off like Salinger, they're just making unlikable dicks with very few redeeming qualities.
Dominic Ross
And House only got by for the first few seasons on the strength of it's supporting cast and writers. Much more than Enterprise had.
