What's so good about American schools?

what are american schools like?

Which one would you like to hear about, Hans?

daily school shootings

normal highschool

From what I remember in high school, it was very laid-back, no uniforms or really strict rules. Teachers would let us watch movies at the end of the year but that stopped when I was a senior.

Both of those suck unless you're a normie.

is bullying really a big problem in american schools?

Stop watching Hollywoods movie, it's exactly like in Germany.

Alter, ist das der Bär aus diesem furchtbaren Grönemeyer Lied?

Ja

I went to a pretty small highschool (~400 students), and depending on the staff and the district your experience will vary greatly but here's the main deal. It's underfunded, you're more or less just allowed to give up and they wont care to stop you. Some teachers are great, stupid, but great, while some are shitty and stupid but the school cant fire them because union. Michelle Obama ruined the lunches, but when youre an upperclassmen you can just go grab lunch somewhere else.

The students are retarded and do the normal highschool things, eg relationship drama, drugs, sleeping with teachers, but plenty of them are smart enough to take college classes through the school to get credit for college, which most of them are prepping to get into

It's 4 years to decide and prepare for college or 4 years of dicking around

Krass.

I wasnt bullied, but I sorta bullied other kids so maybe

>ywn go to an american highschool
Nothing special
>ywn go to an american college
If you either have the money or the knowledge, you should go, way benefitial then German ones

>way more beneficial than

afrogwithashotgunpointedtohishead.jpg

>tfw you will never study in American college and have fun activities with your mates
>tfw will never experience teenage years as a gaijin in Japanese school

I am too poor and old now

...

UUUU

I know that feel, because you fuckers do it to me all the time!

This was meant for

>yfw you actually have to take this TOEFL-test for your Master-/graduates-program in some months
May just end it 2bh, I am gonna get fucked in the ass

Ich sehe eine gute Gelegenheit. Wie übst du dein Englisch?

>Michelle Obama ruined the lunches

In what way?

it's not anything like the movies

Made them "healthy" which translated to just give us less. Food was bad mostly to begin with, but at least I would be full before she came along

I don't think it is, especially not anymore. Maybe in low-income schools, but I don't know what the fuck that's like. I hear really awful.

You Americans are fat to begin with. Decreasing ration size will only make you good

So you have school lunch but can't decide how big a portion you get? That sounds pretty dumb.

>it's exactly like in Germany.
It isn't.

t. expatriate cuckold who attended HS both in France and the US

>Wie übst du dein Englisch?
With posting on an mongolian image-board.
Jk, but other than reading news, articles and some English texts for my studies I am not doing that much.
And well, I hate "than/then". I still can't get a grip on that after years of making the same mistake over and over again.

Und du? Kommentierst du manchmal auf /deutsch/?

>Master-/graduates-program in some months
Where you headed, boche?

Anyways, TOEFL's easy-peasy, and the only things I let get muddled for me was with the oral parts, and having to remember 3 minutes of conversation.

It is, at least the school I went to was.

You get free shots. Unfortunately you still have to pay for vaccinations.

Did you get both experiences too, or this is coming out of your posterior?

School sprit's a lot more incentizived in the US, and drama is also easier to get rolling there since American girls are a lot more sluttier there than in France.

Ja pflegte ich dort zu posten aber nicht jetzt, weil es so viele unhöfliche Leute gibt und ich will das nicht verkraften. Aber wenn du willst, könnte ich vielleicht dir helfen

It is dumb. The fatness is because of fucking lazy shits who would.do no exercise and would eat extra, many of us werent like that

>Where you headed, boche?
Not sure, will probably stay in Germanistan, but seems I need some certificate for my English-skills even for gradate-programs here, so... And well if I dont have the needed points will probably start looking for work asap, wasn't really the most intelligent one anyway.
>I let get muddled for me was with the oral parts, and having to remember 3 minutes of conversation.
Yeah thats the part which I am a lil bit scared of too, hope it goes well
Bin manchmal auch da, lass dich nicht unterkriegen. Ein paar Anons wird es schon geben, die dir helfen.

It isn't and you're very uneducated for thinking so

If you actually went you'd know it's very different, namely in that we don't segregate idiots from intelligent people like your Gymnasiums and we foster fine arts through the schools rather than forcing kids to do it on their own

>School sprit's a lot more incentizived in the US
On it's way out

There isn't much to be proud of anymore

I wouldn't say i got bullied but shunned really. mostly in gym class. got picked last whenever the dumb fucking coach would let the seniors pick the teams. no one liked me because I was lanky and wouldn't talk to anyone. Always finished near last in track races when the coach made us run outside 50 laps in 110 heat. Also in some other classes too. fucking sucked

>will probably stay in Germanistan
What are the world-renowned universities in your country though, and there must be some of course, but I never really bothered researching them.

> for my English-skills even for gradate-programs
That's pretty good. We should really have that in France, but then we'd be neglecting too many students who put all their efforts into mathematics and physics, but never really bothered with english.

Anyways you sound heaps intelligent so I know you'll rock it :3.

>On it's way out
Are they going to be shutting down school-vs.-school sports and activities?...

Still though, you could never really wipe away school spirit in the US, what with children can just walk to school easy peasy and hang out there, while in Europe, walking to school is too lengthy a process that it never becomes a "meeting place" or something like that.

No, teenagers just don't wanna go watch football or hockey or track anymore

That and a lot of kids are really despising high school for being "A waste of time" when they could just jump into being blue-collar rather than being indebted for the rest of their life

>what with children can just walk to school easy peasy and hang out there
Nobody does this except Elementary students

>we don't segregate idiots from intelligent people
there's nothing wrong with that

>being "A waste of time" when they could just jump into being blue-collar
Idiots could just jump on the occasion when they're 16, right though?... And I don't see how there's any debt accrued by being in high school anyways.

>Nobody does this except Elementary students
Oh well, but what I'm trying to get across is that there's a home-town spirt in the US, which there isn't at all in tightly-packed European towns and villages. In the US, you're confined to hanging out with your friends from school in any way, and can't with anyone from any other school, so there's at least a school "identity" that starts rolling that way.

Strg+F "Germany". Technical universities are probably more renowed then others, other than that you may have heard of some in Frankfurt, Heidelberg or Karlsruhe. Nevertheless the level and influence of German universities are going down the shitter so I understand if you havent heard about them.
>I know you'll rock it :3.
Thanks, wish you the best too :3

What do you think youre doing?

>German universities are going down the shitter
They seem alright, but if they're anything akin to those quoted for France (Polytechnique, Centrale, ENS), then they're pretty much the elite to the elite, and welcome 200 or so students each year, so they're not a great way by which to gauge the overall education of the country.

France has those elite schools that rival American ones, and then the remainder is a huge "meh".

Frankfurt is the LSE wannabe right?...

What's it a Master of then?

There's debt in college and if you haven't saved or your family can't provide for you you'll get debt coming right out of HS
