...

We haven't had a fiscally conservative President since Calvin Coolidge. Let that sink in.

youtube.com/watch?v=UZuzw2TCNSU

Probably Teddy Roosevelt.

"I took the isthmus"

Got shot and gave a speech with the bullet in his chest.

Started the parks.

His exploits are pretty amazing too.

The nigger faggot.

Nixon set us up for all the world's problems today. Ending the gold standard, ending the Bretton Wood system, causing free trade and the offshoring of American jobs and the beginnings of lobbying taking over politics.

Jackson

I was talking about the Republican congress

Clinton's presidency alongside the GOP congress was fiscally conservative.
Goverment budget increased less than inflation.
Thank Gingrich for that

Fiscal conservatism doesn't work. Coolidge's policies led to the Great Depression. Free market capitalism doesn't work and the stock market crash in 1929 proved that.

Clinton passed the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act which circumvented the Glass Steagall acts that limited securities, activities, and affiliations within commercial banks and securities firms and ultimately led to the 2007-08 crisis

Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act created the great depression though

>It's been over a century since a president had facial hair

huh.

Worsened mostly*

Which is not a controversial statement

fucking seriously
*sees flag
oh yeah, that explains the love for socialism

That raised Tariffs. Fiscal conservatism is when the government cuts spending to be minimal in the hopes the private sector will expand which it doesn't the way they hope It will.

>That raised Tariffs.
Which worsened the depression.

Your second sentence seems like it's aimed towards an imaginary other post.

Obama.

Garfield

>A lasagna for every table

Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, Donald Trump

With the exception of Polk and Van Buren, they were kind of the bullshit presidents. Didn't get a lot done, at least nothing that still have noticeable effects on the U.S.A. today, and they were all one-term (the best presidents tend to be two-term, as do some of the worst).

Polk is the exception. If it weren't for Polk, the Mexico and Canada might share a border that starts somewhere not too far west of the Mississippi River and continues all the way to the Pacific. Polk single-mindedly prosecuted the Mexican American War to obtain the Southwest and rattled the saber at Britain enough to get our northern border with Canada settled. It's a shame he's all but forgotten. I live in Chicago, and humorously enough, Polk Street runs right through the Mexican ghetto here.

Martin Van Buren was also a modestly important president, but he's really most interesting for being the only U.S. President to speak a language other than English as his first language (Dutch).

Leslie Lynch King Jr

He didn't ask for the job, but he stepped up to do when the nation needed a leader.

Trump will look real nice right next to Florida.
>I can see Mar-a-Lago from here!
