OK b/ros. Tire company here didn't put nuts back on my wheel. Wheel came off, crashed, seatbelt ripped my arm out and broke my neck. Reattached my arm and 3 spinal surgeries later and they want to settle before trial in November. Current settlement is 2.5 million after doc and legal fees.
What would you guys do with that money. Looking for advice or ideas.

I would give it to a bunch of strangers on a cartoon image board if their post numbers have repeating digets at the end

Buy land build house, or buy a house with land. Make some wise investments. Maybe see if you can do a few large CDs with good interest.
Owen Gonzalez
Get a new lawyer. You're not suing the company, you're suing the tire companies insurance company.
I think you're full of shit.
Samuel Garcia
would argue your otherwise future lifetime income dwarfs their paltry offer and demand that any settlement not only offset that amount but also include any future medical or care that you would not have otherwise be burdened with.
rehab costs, and if theres no hope of returning to 100% functionality then long term homecare is a possibility and also costs. considering inflation, I'd be looking for more like $20M minimum

The CD's are a good idea user. Thx. I bought land before the crash and have a half built house on it. I intend to finish it with some of the cash. But since I am a contractor, I could finish the whole thing for $50K

My attorneys are actually really good. Plus, I'm not full of shit. I had 5 of my 7 cervical discs fused and shoulder rebuilt. Horrific pain and recovery.

CDs have a guaranteed interest. He could also be building up an IRA, buy bonds or plenty of other options.
I'd advise against dumping a ton of money into stocks.
Adrian Bell
Nice dubs. I'll never be 100% again. Everything you've said here has been discussed as different strategies for trial. But it's been almost 5 years of hell getting they it. Unimaginable pain, paralyzed for a short while, lost my marriage cause of inability to work and provide. Just total shit all round. But want to get it all behind me. I'm torn between settling, and going to trial.
Ian Rodriguez
Make it last. Because if you run out when your older, good luck working with a fucked up back.

>Buy big ass property >Nah i mean fucking HUGE >build missile silo >create rekreationl nucc >???? >profit
Henry Martinez
Yeah. That's something I don't want. Before this, I'd buy land, build houses, sell, and make a lot of money. I'm trying to start that up again, but still have PT a lot, so it fucks up my weeks. I'll put 100k into an account just to do building again. But want to find good ways to invest the rest. I'm not the speedboat/Porsche/douche type.
Christian Mitchell
I'm not into putting some in stocks. Those fuckers screw you over always. But US government CD's or bonds I'd do.
Andrew Nelson
invest
John Taylor
It's good to invest. But do a ridiculous amount of research; and trust no one to invest directly for you. With investing you can double your money; or lose it all.
Be VERY careful.
Cooper Morgan
Make sure to tie as much as possible up in a trust, to prevent you ex trying to get her hands on it...
Ayden Martinez
Thanks user. Yeah. I'd like to invest, especially for my daughter's future. But I don't want to lose it all, so looking for safe ideas. Like I said. I'm not flash, just a regular dude, so there's no chance of me blowing it. Just want to be comfortable and know it's earning money. Been thru too much to be risky with it.

By properties in a student area. You can typically get higher rents from students and they expect a lower standard of fittings and furniture, lowering the amount of money invested in each property. Live on the rent these properties generate.
That and talk with a financial advisor or two.

That's a fucking huge worry for me. I want to get it offshore asap. Cayman Islands maybe. Cause it's a medical settlement for my future care, she can't touch it. But she could go after it in the guise of child support. She's a horrible cunt who walked out on her husband when I couldn't walk. I hope she rots in hell. (Obviously still very angry over that)
