I actually just finally got my vinyl copy of it, probably my favourite OST besides blade runner

Jesus, no offense though you really should simmer through the Sup Forumsessentials chart, that'd give you some foundations to build on, not saying that the artists you've listened to so far are "bad" though there's are many you'd love that you probably haven't even heard of.

French? Try Dave Van Ronk - Folksinger.

I need to try that Mahogany album, how it is? Give Foxygen a try if you haven't already, I'd recommend the new album Hang.

Not him but with me the problem was listening to every essential Sup Forums album then not getting any recs or moving past said albums. Excellent taste, Stratosphere/Original Pirate Material are great.

Based on Isao Tomita, you should try out switched on bach.

Use the essentials charts, its gokd for diving into specific genres

I did, my chart is just above.

If you like sarlo akrobata, listen to odbrana i poslednji dani by idoli and electricni orgazam.

I need some recommendations

I recommended it above but I'll recommend it again, Yusef Lateef's Detroit.

I can see how that'd be the case, I had the same problem when I started on Sup Forums, compiled all my charts over the past year or two to see how things changed. I'd recommend doing the same, its pretty fun. Modern Lovers are great by the way, and I was very tempted to put TOTBL on my chart. Every time I listen to it I'm kinda blown away really though alas it fell just short of Power Trip. There are more specific charts on the mu wiki to help you get into different genres. And rym can be useful for discovering obscure artists in niche genres/ countries, though I'd highly warn you not to go on any of the threads pertaining to it or use the social aspect of it, that can easily turn your listening experience into a gong show and ruin the fun. Alas.

Will do user, I've seen that the three are featured on a compilation album that's supposedly quite revered, I'll definitely get around to that within the week. Going to try Idoli in a couple of days then Electricni Orgazam perhaps a week after. Thanks for the recs.

Ah well my mistake but still good advice for OP

They're the big 3 of Yugo New Wave. That idoli album is also considered to be the best Yugo rock album.

Hi

I found out about that Connectivity album about two years ago and its my spirit album that I will love to my grave. For like a low budget music student album it's technically superb and blends shoegaze really well with an upbeat sound. Robin Guthrie is involved and so is his daughter at times and its one of his best works post CT. Please please listen

Besides the other Sup Forumstants, yeah pretty much. But I gotta broaden that taste
May I reccomend Bruce Haack- The Electronic Lucifer to you
I was actually being a degenerate and was high was fuck when I listened to it. I called it "before vidya music became vidya music." It's a mellow album.
When Chanson D' Autoume came on I was blown away. Check out Ash Ra- New Age of Earth

Why post boku chart

I just started getting into classical music, stop being such a fucking cunt.

Dude no need to be a cunt

>Being offended online
>2017
Come on now dude. I thought this board was 18+ or something

Sad! embarrassing

>Offended

obvious samefag

if you really "just started getting into classical music" you wouldn't have le so random shostakovich in your top 10

please listen to the good Nico albums

Im not classical dude, i just dont get being a cunt in chart. Chart threads are comfy man

Big L- Lifestyle of Da Poor and Dangerous
Freddie Gibbs- Pinata
Arovane- TIdes

need recs please all my music has gotten stale

wew
Walt Dickerson - To My Son
Now, that's what I call edgy!
Really nice. Scritti Polliti - Cupid & Psyche 85
Is this just the psych rock chart rearranged?
Owada - Nothing
Nice double trips, beeper, but you should stop fucking your sister.
Really nice. Aldemaro Romero - El Fabuloso

At least you admit that it's stale.
Helga Pogatschar - Mars: Requiem
Arrigo Barnabe - Clara Crocodilo

this has to be a joke right?

Your taste has absolutely no consistency, it looks almost like you made your top100. Realised how fucking terrible it looked so you put a bunch of poseur shit into your chart for patrician points. I refuse to believe a human being who has Grimes as his #1 favourite album would just casually Gerard Grisey and Elaine Radigue unless it was to make yourself look more eclectic and "patrician"

No, incest isn't a joke, beeper.

>You can't dance to flawless sugary electropop while also appreciating the compositional intricacies of my favourite avant-garde musicians!!
Nice one, bud.

Been too long since I listened to some of these.

Creation is Crucifixion - Automata
Edgard Varese - Poeme Electronique
Sir Spyro - Topper Top
Swarms - Old Rave's End

it's not so odd for someone here to enjoy grisey or radigue. they're entry-level modern "classical" composers that are popular on Sup Forums. if anything, it's not so much "poseur shit" as it is rearranged chart core

recc me some good european alt

Coheed and Cambria-No Word For Tomorrow
Mitski-Puberty 2
Kishi Bashi-515a
Drake-Thank Me Later
Ana Tijoux-Vengo

Varese is incredible.
>not sure about Dimension Hatross
Smh.

>grimesfag
>tripfag
>shit taste
neck yourself please

Good post.

Yeah, Varese is great. Personally I really love Ionisation because of the whole "nothing but percussion" thing so it's surprisingly visceral as well.

I love the riffs and drums on Dimension Hatross, but I really wish the dude's vocals were more aggressive or had more range.
Thanks for the rec!
>European alt
Ice Age - You're Nothing

>Ice Age - You're Nothing
Just checked it out, thanks.
Btw, what did I rec you?

Coheed

oh ok

roast me/recommend me shit

>Is this just the psych rock chart rearranged?
I get how it seems like that, there's a lot more Space and Folk Rock. But I put it all under the Progressive tag, what I mostly listen to.
Plus there's some obscurities and gems lower down the chart.

There's lots of good shit on there regardless.

If you like Venom check out Sodom - In the Sign of Evil and Mercyful Fate
Ride - Nowhere
Tuxedomoon - Desire / No Tears
divine styler - spiral walls containing autumns of light

Are there any good ones for modern jam bands?
