This is a big problem in Hip-Hop. Currently, Kendrick does long albums well, but almost everybody else makes them 30 minutes longer than they have to be
40-50 minutes, up to 80 if there's a delux version with great extra tracks like Get To Heaven did
If you can't fit it on a single vinyl record, it's too big, unless it's a compilation album or something.
Depends on the album and artist. Some musicians drag on for 40 minutes well others it blows by. Some albums like The Seer or Soundtracks for the Blind are quite long yet not noticable due to the quality.
