Yep, and it's pretty big too. Most of the movies made are crappy shot-on-video B-movies and melodramas though. There's a documentary called Nollywood Babylon, on Nigerian cinema, that's definitely worth watching if you're interested in the subject.

In terms of volume, Nigeria has a larger film industry than Hollywood. Second largest in the world behind the Indians.
In terms of quality, there have been a number of great African directors like Sembene, Ouedraogo, Chahine, Cisse. Worth it if you know where to look.
Nigeria is unironically home to the third largest film industry in the world.
