Was in a metal thread earlier and there was a fair bit of ripping on metallica, so I'm curious, for those who like their stuff what are your top 3 (or less) favorite songs?

Not the best songs, but your favorite songs.

Also no autistic arguing because you're gay if you argue with subjectivity.

+10 for Bleeding Me. One of their most underrated songs.

Im rather supprised that nobody has mentioned turn the page. Generally speaking i dont really like metallica, mostly due to lars, but that is one of the best covers of a classic track ever made

Harvester of Sorrow
The Thing That Should Not Be
Battery

Anyone remember how fucking hard guitar hero Metallica was on expert?

The Black album was okay. It wasn't on the level of their previous works, but it wasn't a bucket of shit like everything after. I can't fault you for not liking it, though, because it was definitely the downturn point for them. It's just that their fall accelerated so much faster after the Black album when Hetfield injured his vocal cords and had to start trying to sing since he couldn't growl anymore. I still have the Black album (somewhere) but seriously haven't listened to it since the 90's, unlike all of their earlier work.

1. Fade to Black
2. Blackened
3. Master of Puppets

Honorable mentions:
Call of Ktulu
Dyers Eve
Battery
Unforgiven trilogy
Creeping Death (pref a live version with a higher tempo)

They got Bob Rocked, you can tell his production/development a mile away. Bubble gum pg-13 metal.

Metallica is a good group in general. They've had their real shit moments but hey, all bands do at some point.

>For Whom the Bell Tolls
>Enter Sandman
>Fade to Black

1. Whiplash
2. St. Anger
3. ....And justice for all

King nothing better than you and fuel

>with subjectivity.

stopped reading right there

Garage inc was all covers.

Pantera's music went the same way as Metallica, first few albums were gold and all downhill after.
