It's like you want the threads to be hated on.
I think i'll watch Hardcore Henry later today, what am i in for?
...
i'm here to diffuse the situation
...
healey haters are just mad bcoz they never did something in their lives while he's already famous and ready to redpill jewllywood
those pants don't fit
smug looking asshole but nice shirt, where do i buy that?
are the rumors true?
Lol
Surprised Bride of Frankenstein has reviews almost as positive as Frankenstein. Makes me think people didn't really get the original so they're okay with a sequel that shits on it.
BoF is beloved because of the camp gay aspects of it. A lot of people consider those themes subversive and daring for a movie of its era.
What is letterboxd?
I'm perfectly fine with camp and subversion, but that implies a level of self awareness that is clearly absent.
who do these shit threads keep getting made?
stop making these gay threads
how was grand piano? i'm curious to watch - is it at least camp fun?
It's a fun little thriller. Completely inoffensive. Watch it if you're interested.
why does Elijah Wood keep making gimmick horror movies, what's he searching for?
The piano was grand
poppin bottles, putting supermodels in the cab

Absolute kinography (unironically)
what'd you think of tlop?
Both are considerably overrated for historical reasons, but Bride is obviously better since 35
You are probably right, maybe I will watch it tonight
you are probably right, they look like they would taste nice
i just realized that the last movies i watched have only one word in the title
Maniac was actually pretty good. I wouldn't even call Grand Piano a horror movie. Cooties was dogshit, but I'm pretty sure he's just having fun with his career nowadays. After Lord of the Rings and Wilfred, why not. I know he's a genuine horror fan.
What a bad opinion to have.
It's the only right opinion to have, actually.
Both are very overrated- by some people who never even watched them- and Bride > Frankenstein.
The 'Golden Age of Universal Horror' having its best film in Bride really indicates that the period itself is seen with too bright eyes.
Going to the movie store to get the following:
Gallipoli
Au Revoir les Enfants
Elephant Man
Repulsion
In the Mood for Love
/yawned
Gonna watch the moon in the gutter tonight
What do I watch after, the rest of the europa trilogy or a cinema du look classic?
Yeah its nice that he's got freedom to explore his horror thing. Thoughts on Open Windows?
That Sasha Grey thing? Didn't see it. I actually didn't realize I'd seen so much of his recent work until that post. It helps that most of it ends up on Netflix I guess.
The people who like those movies know what they are. You aren't a special snowflake, lad. You just don't like fun.

Calm down, plebus. We got already the idea, you have many disabilities
By the time LaBeouf had starred in 2007’s Disturbia, his stock as one of Hollywood’s fastest rising stars was solidified. But after a string of mainstream hits, LaBeouf began to make more headlines for his often-bizarre behavior than he did for his film roles. There were run-ins with the law, videos captured of drunken fights, public rants and a series of art installations in which the actor insisted he was no longer famous.
While it remains to be seen whether or not those erratic days are behind LaBeouf, the actor has stopped drinking and has taken on a recent series of roles that are far removed from the Hollywood blockbuster formula. Looking back on those franchise days during a recent interview with Variety , Shia LaBeouf had much to say, but he was particularly troubled by his time spent with Spielberg – a director that most any other actor would be honored to work with. Said LaBeouf:
>“You get there, and you realize you’re not meeting the Spielberg you dream of. You’re meeting a different Spielberg, who is in a different stage in his career. He’s less a director than he is a f–king company.”
LaBeouf then proceeded to expand on his disillusionment with the legendary director and the on-set process involved in making a Steven Spielberg movie.
>“Spielberg’s sets are very different. Everything has been so meticulously planned. You got to get this line out in 37 seconds. You do that for five years, you start to feel like not knowing what you’re doing for a living.”
Lastly, LaBeouf admitted that he isn’t a fan of any of the films that he made with Spielberg, save for one:
>“I don’t like the movies that I made with Spielberg. The only movie that I liked that we made together was ‘Transformers’ one.”
it's the most EPIC MOVIE EVER!!
bump
Didn't watch it so whatever.
That's very stupid. What's the sense of that post then?
shh, don't bully the turret, he has autism

i can't outpleb the pleb
You better, big guy
We're not talking about you here.
hearts hearts hearts
great rec dropout, thank
very giallo-like, give it a dodgy Italian dub + psychedelic Morricone score and probably could have been tricked into thinking it was an Italian production, although the v British humour probably would have given it away. surprisingly lewd for Hitchcock
i won 2 passes to the akira kurosawa meet and greet, but i dont wanna go
What is The V Brit humor?
the v stands for very but I think you already knew this
nice account friend
Sure, sure, sure, sure, hearts et hearts y hearts und hearts, but those four there are of very varying qualities, so a rating machill would be better in my opinion :^)
I understand what you mean but I don't want to put ratings so I'm going to continue not putting ratings

Is Seven Samurai the most overrated film of all time?
Underrated if anything. Then again these words mean little without essays on detailing why one thinks so.
...
I guess I'll watch Taxi Driver tomorrow.
watch it now
