They got walloped hby big guns, made a desperate torpedo run against the japs costing the us obe or two of tgeir destroyers but one of the torpedoes pegs a heavy jap cruiser and this scares the rest of the fleet off... also the us loses an escort carrer from land based jap planes and that's really the whole battle... mayve a movie about allllll of leyte gulf could be interesting tho.

What's up with trailers these days that show the entire movie? You'd think with a piece of shit like this, they'd go the other direction and show even less to try to make it seem good.

For people that didn't know the real story, you now know the ship sinks, most of the crew dies, some get eaten by sharks, they get rescued by a random plane, Cage is court martialed and then you can assume it's a "happy ending."
