Best Captain?
Best Captain?
Fuck off
Oh shit, Star Trek thread? Just bought the Voyager box sets. Just breezed over the synopsis. This is going to be the best $220 I've ever spent.
>Dat Maquis and Federation tension
>Dat diverse cast of rookies, non-Starfleet members, holograms, Borg and new aliens
>Dat feeling of isolation and desperation of a crew of lost travelers
>Dat potential for character development and varying relationships among the crew
>Dat development on the Borg that is likely to ensue
This is going to be the best ride through a piece of science-fiction ever. I can't fucking wait!
Worst captain by far.
She should be in prison for her antics.
1/10 made me reply

Voyager > DS9 > The rest
Voyager was the most entertaining and the most fun.
DS9 was boring at times and had too many uglies in it.
TNG was just way too shit special effects wise because it's so old.
Enterprise literally doesn't exist.
Kirk just wanted to sex green ladies.
...
Meth is hell of a drug.
Friendly reminder that Dukat did nothing wrong.
She is the most believable character
>DS9 was boring at times and had too many uglies in it.
Aside from having too fucking many purely coincidental similarities with B5, DS9 has too many fillers, the show is pretty much defines uncanny valley between modern continuing story TV-show and old school purely episodic TV-show.
I also rate it lower than Voyager, simply because Voyager has more better individual stand alone episodes.
>TNG was just way too shit special effects wise because it's so old.
HD remasters and also.... who cares about effects. Stories and ideas are more important. Way better than Voyager or DS9.
>Enterprise literally doesn't exist.
It got cancelled when it got where it was supposed to be in first place. Format of first two seasons was simply outdated, on fourth season they got new show runner to get it done properly.
TOS is simply TOS. Always campy, brilliant at it's best and cringe worthy at it's worst. TNG is very similar in this way, good episodes are brilliant, bad episodes gave us facepalm meme for a reason. TOS is the show that defined how scifi is done on TV. TNG has more good episodes than TOS simply because it ran longer and had far less funding issues.
I fucking hate modern continuing story TV-shows, so this is why DS9 is my least favorite Trek.
>putting this much effort to respond to a b8 post
Too bad none of that happens.
The joke
Your head
>woman captain
>best
this is a puzzler
don't you hate it when there's no laughtrack and clapping? it's like, wtf is going on.. is it happy, sad or what?
hello newfag
I wasn't baiting.
I enjoyed voyager the most. I didn't like plenty of the cast but I enjoyed the Dr. and Janeway and some others.
this is all true only a true fan knows it
Mulgrew was a fine actress. Janeway vacillated between being a fine captain and eager scientist and an utter lunatic. Voyager really needed better writers & producers.
>I am designed to exceed human capacity, both mentally and physically.
>I fucking hate modern continuing story TV-shows, so this is why DS9 is my least favorite Trek.
Perfect way of doing TV-show these days is doing continuing story of week and having heavily serialized elements in it. 4 scenes of pure episode of week story and scene that carries on series story or possibly parts in episode of week story. Sopranos for example did that pretty well.
Agreed.
>>mass murderer
I think you are confusing best captain with that black blade guy.
Launching torpedoes!
I was actually going to buy Voyager on dvd. I though since the show was still in print, and had been out since 2003 I could get it at a pretty good price. Than I went to Amazon, and found out they wanted around $39 to $48 per season. Old reviews stated that when the show was first released on dvd they wanted over $140 per season.
I would have payed it, and still would if it's ever released on blu ray because I unironically fell in love with the shows cozy vibe. Luck for me I was able to get it for free as a gift.
I can show you, but you might regret knowing how for the rest of your life.
