I've spent some more years here, and usually someone would say "Sup Forums was always shit", but it really wasn't that bad.
It was often bad, and unnotable, but if i had to pinpoint a date where the quality of posts notably started to decrease two times come to mind: First when we rick rolled the EMAs. It was fun and all but that extra attention wasn't good for this community. The second time must have been around the time when Sup Forums fought with tumblr once again and lost. When Sup Forums had been sold by moot and the mods on Sup Forums started banning threads to which they of course threw a hissy fit about it.
From this point on it only got worse, so i invite you to do as i do these days:
Hide threads which you don't like and if you find that you've hidden every single thread on the front page go to some other board. Sup Forums wasn't about the brand but about the people. The people who mostly left this place.
