i like to call my shit blushcore, it’s electronic beats that sample pop, jpop, trance and iconic 2000s era samples. i make breakbeats too. i like to use a lot of distortion and tape delay but i like to keep my music somewhat soft and cutesy.
>blushcore
>breakbeats
i’m also in a UK Cloud Rap group too called Limewire Boys, check us out cos we’ve been making music for two years. A lot of the shit we recorded last year is coming out now but towards the end of the summer our newer stuff’ll be out too.
the members of limewire boys are Neo Café, $hark and Yung Krane

I'm honestly not sure if this is good or not so feedback would be great (and returned).

I'd recommend the following
Digging the textures, definitely for Autechre fans.
Always great to hear from you, one of the first people I've found here.
Eyyyyy, good to hear from you too. How've you been?

I'm doing alright, I'm in a good place this past month.
Really enjoying the new EP btw, really like the back to basics direction you took on it.

okay so,
The singers voice is pretty good,
but the mixing of the vocals, especially on Full Stop was way too high. It just didn't sit well in the mix.
It could just be your vocal register, but it kinda gets annoying after a minute or two.
also
you guys should not be so smug and follow people back. I don't know why, but it just screams egocentrism. Like, I honestly get a vibe of "we're too good to follow people" and its honestly kinda shitty.
I get you're trying to keep a professional image, but it does make you/you guys seem douchey.
It could be just that it's emo, and it all sounds the same to me.
nice instrumentation and mixing though

just made this track ! Would love critisicm/feedback whatever !!! just want someone to listen to it. Will listen to others in this thread too

>indie rock, psych rock, experimental, post rock
Welp, to address the mixing- we self produce so we'll work on it. To address the lack of following people- we all have our own SC accounts for that also dtb has been broken up for a few months so no one is really active on the account. I just post up every once in a while to push the sound. I also give feed back in thread.
to connect these since you deleted your first post.

Quality riffing, huge potentail but needs more development imo
Too high quality to be shilling it about on Sup Forums. Get a press pack together man
I'm glad to hear my dude. And thanks! Its a different style but same ethos I suppose. I need a break from making obnoxious hip hop lol. I'll be checking out your page soon. The internet where I'm at currently is complete garbage, so I'm sorry if I don't get back to you soon. Anything new I should keep an eye out for?

Give it to me real I gotta get better
Nothing new as of now, at least not anything that's actually finished.
You can check this WIP if you want, but it has been updated with new layers and whatnot, so the version that I'll put up will probably sound better than this demo.
It's pretty stripped-back, but it is what it is, for now at least.

a few hard months were spent on this ep, will not totally disappoint

Yooo, listening now. This is dark and heavy! Way atmospheric too. I can tell its a bit rough now that you mention it, but its fucking great for being unpolished. Can't wait to hear the finished product. Good shit.
What gear do you typically use btw?
soundcloud.com
This is one of my two electronic projects. The Diner Mix Series are pretty swell, two coming up.
A lo-fi hip-hop album will be out soon too.

Thanks man, I was going for a more atmospheric tone on this one. I'll try to get it done as soon as possible, it's not gonna stay at this length.
Sadly, I don't have any gear, not even proper speakers, I rely strictly on FL 12. All of my gear doesn't work for some reason, who knows.
That being said, getting proper gear is on my bucket-list.
What do you use?
You got me over 500 total plays thanks guys.

Damn, that's impressive man. I use Ableton with a Push (1st gen) controller. Besides that I don't use much else besides VSTs, sample packs, and a feedbacked mixer through an interface to generate some atmospheric noise for some tracks. I mean, I have a Korg Volca FM, but I'm getting rid of it since I never use it. I used to have a bunch of hardware occupy my workspace but once I got Ableton and the Push that was it.

Trying to get better and need some serious criticism. New to rapping and producing and just kind of screwing around but want to start taking it seriously
just a fan. listen to pretty much every post.
keep up the good work man
you guys are great.
i havent been on /mu in a long time and im glad i came. there is so many good tunes.
You're pretty much set, but gear can always come in handy in one way or another. I wanna transition to Ableton eventually, once I figure out how to work in it.
Anyway, saw a demo of that Korg Volca you mentioned it seems like a cool little gadget, you might find a way to implement it into your music one day, who knows.
