What scifi do you recommend? I think i've seen them all by now. My favourite probably starship troopers or the fly.
SCI-FI general
Prometheus
>inb4 plebds
Lockout. Shitty B-movie but immensely entertaining. Guy Pearce is the shit when acting smug as all fuck. Also best initial scene ever.
Ghost in the Shell
>christian imagery and nonsensical characters make my movie deep, so deep
pleb detected.
Outlander. Jim Caviezel as a futuristic dragon slaying viking.
goddamn i love that guy.
Edge of Tomorrow

youtube.com
Noone ever talks about this film. It's no classic but it's solid entertainment.
Saw ex machina recently. It was 7.8/10 bretty good.
Virus
A big ship in the middle of the ocean gets attacked by an alien force which turns all the people onboard into biomechanical freaks.
Not the best movie in the world but worth a watch

Sphere
Scientists discover a space ship deep underwater, then wierd shit starts to happen. Got a great atmosphere and pretty creepy.

If you pick one of these to watch i recommend sphere more. Much more interesting plot and pretty unsettling.
Also, THE ABYSS. Great film.
Here's a
>MY
and here's a
>NIGGA
Don't talk to strangers; Shoot them.
only thing I remember is the redhead was decently hot
>If you pick one of these to watch i recommend sphere more
I hated the ending to that one.
Like dood, fucking tell people you nigras.
>you will never watch sunshine for the first time again
Screamers
Robocop
Silent Running
The Fifth Element
>you will never watch 2/3 of sunshine for the first time again
fixed
just let it be user
People get so worked up about it, it just wasn't that bad
It's not even the last third, it's probably 2/3 of the last 1/4, and the final 10 minutes or so are as good as the rest of the movie
Yea, sorry, didn't know you were an Evangelion drone either.
>Dizzy
Best girl right there.
OP here, didnt know this would get so many replies (very exited). Thanks for looking into this thread and have a good day sir's!
>I think i've seen them all by now
Fuckin vague
There's so much garbage scifi that you can watch and claim has value.
Heavy metal
i wonder if theres a cut of the movie with all the pinbacker scenes cut, would it work?
semen demon seems appropriate
fuck off this isnt reddit
yeh the ending sucks but i didnt wanna ruin it for op...
i've literally seen them all, ive seen all bollywood and nollywood scifi movies too. Only scifi films i havent seen is films with keanu reeves on it because i cannot stand that faggot
Fucking This. How glorious would it've been if they started going mad to mimic what'd happened in the other ship (hell, even by trying to find out what had happened in the other ship) instead of spending the last third of it running away from melted-cheese-man.
Would you agree that the ending was to long?
IMO it should have ended when Caleb realizes that he fucked up
Johnny Mnemonic is legit fucking good. Your loss mayne. Also, that one that looks like a cartoon with the K. Dick-based script.
Also Leviathan and DeepStar Six
Not him but the only thing I disliked about the ending was the shitty convoluted scheme to get Nathan killed. Movie robots aren't supposed to just stand still when somebody impales themselves on a knife they're holding.
Nah I thought the speed of the ending was ok. I thought the fight scene looked laughably bad though, and it definitely needed redoing.
...
Solid but formulaic/cheesy entertainment

i hate that women like this turn me on so much
1989 year of the deep sea sci-fi horror movies: Leviathan, The Evil Below, Lords of the Deep, The Rift, The Abyss and DeepStar Six. This will never stop blowing my mind. How did it happen?
you're the plen, Prometheus could have been great but half the writing and half the acting was SHIT
I really like Virus. It strikes me as a 2nd-tier The Thing or Alien, if it was a bit better it would be a classic sci-fi horror.
District 9
Death machine.
It hurts
Space 1999 is ultimate comfy
Action Mutants.
youtube.com
1989 was a good year for sci-fi.
That films sucks, it's basically a watered down event horizon.
Ok. I still like it
Recent ones
Chappie, fuck the haters
Cloud Atlas
John Carter
Wall-E
Moon
Universal Soldier IV
>chappie
More like crappy, you're retarded.
>chappie

I saw chappie in the cinema and found it rather enjoyable. It felt very much Blookamps(?) way to make a Robocop reboot without having the license.
So why is it crappy?
Besides the last part with fucking soul transfer bullshit. And well the retarded part about the batteries.
None of the characters were likeable, Hugh Jackmam plays generic villain man and it has no new interesting points to make. It's just super generic when it looked unique.
bad casting
bad director
bad set design
bad script
His friends were super fucking annoying and completely unlikeable, they made me hate the film more the longer it went on.
The sci fi selection on Netflix is pretty shitty.
this
time to put all that training and lifting to use and rape some jailhouse twinks
