The frosted tips of a generation

His most famous work is from the early 2000s so it counts

varg

Yeah all the music he made at Sun Records is from the 00s, you got it!

>Voice of a generation
>The words he said were written by someone else

This guy right here.

>His most famous work is from the early 2000s
What the fuck are you talking about you underage douchebag?

Oh yeah he's much better than OP's dude

frig off

Chino Moreno

LP were always second rate to bands like RATM, Deftones, SOTD and even Korn.

This fag's death is going to flood this board with even more underage trash from Reddit, isn't it?

Chino Moeino

Moreno

my brother.

RIP Chi

>underraged
>posting about albums that only pre-teens in the early 2000s liked

It's literally males in their mid 20s posting about LP 90% of the time dweeb

that fat fuck is not a voice of the generation lmao they weren't even a 10th as popular as LP, only competition I could think if is maybe eminem.

>It's literally males in their mid 20s posting about LP 90% of the time dweeb

In your dreams lel. It's obvious from the style in which all the posts crying over this dude offing himself are written that the people writing them are like 15-16 years old.
Though being in your mid-20s and giving a shit about fucking Linkin Park is far, far more embarrassing than being 15 and giving a shit about them.

Corey Taylor.

Volume Three alone blows the fuck out of everything released in that era in that genre. That coupled with how fucking nice and well adjusted he seems to be

White pony came out the same year as hybrid theory, plus Deftones have Adrenaline and Around the Fur to back them up by the time 2000 rolled around. LP were always second rate compared to deftones.

If you rate things on popularity alone, why not say Britney Spears is the voice of the generation?

At age 13 ish in 2000, I can safely say Deftones, RATM, SOAD, Tool and Korn all ranked above LP. Even Rob Zombie and Powerman 5000 ranked above LP for me.

Most fans are from the group that was 10-14 when Hybrid Theory released, I reckon. I'm 27 and LP was the soundtrack to my teens.

>Volume Three alone blows the fuck out of everything released in that era in that genre.
>That coupled with how fucking nice and well adjusted he seems to be

Another example of someone who is either underage or stunted white trash or both. You can just sense it.

Chester return to your grave,

>people respond negatively to le edgy superior taste underages making threads about how LP was complete shit and Chester deserved to die
this is our fault somehow

>nice and well adjusted
>Corey Taylor
wat

this guy gets it 26 here

you may have liked them more and I'm not saying LP were my favorite but none of those bands you listed were even close to LP in terms of how widely they were listened to and how much they resonated with kids at the time except maybe SOAD or Korn although Korn's moment was a little before LPs time

>this is our fault somehow

It is your fault actually, your fault for shitting up the board with your presence. Go back to Plebbit.

>this guy gets it 26 here

That's sad.

>this mad he was born after 2000

For that generation probably Eminem, Nu-Metal was like a dying breath for the whole genre in the mainstream

Explain why in objective terms, why am I inferior to this 18 year old friendless virgin?

Do you know what voice of generation means you braindead Sup Forumsdrone retard?

>this mad that he's an intellectually stunted piece of white trash that hit the peak of their personal development when they were 13 years old

You like Linkin Park, for one.

Well at least you don't disagree you're a millenial.

You don't disagree about being an imbecile either.

Deftones are the blandest most overrated nu-metal band ever. Even no-name bands like Taproot put out better more interesting stuff than them.

Do Deftones get hipster cred for namedropping Joy Divison in interviews or something? I don't understand the hype around them.

That wasn't me lol

Pitiful.

Oh of course it wasn't.

That doesn't make my post any less relevant to you in particular.

Well whatever floats your boat I guess.

he was*

lets see deftones or korn pull something like this.... kid

I personally think he is, at least in rock. I do think that 2 of the band's albums that were made in the 2010s were really good, The Hunting Party and A Thousand Suns

>no-name bands like Taproot put out better more interesting stuff than them.
Sup Forums always was retarded.

I guess listen to Around the Fur, White Pony and the self titled album and report back with your findings as to why there was hype.

why on earth would I want them to "pull off" that godawful song? I'd ask them to stay away from Jay-z, and stick with collaborations like Maynard James Keenan and Max Cavalera.

kendrick lamar and the death grips

You very clearly don't understand this thread, what the original post claimed, and the concept which this thread is talking about.

I understand you like the deftones more than linkin park, that is extremely irrelevant to what is being asked, you're retarded if you think the fat lead singer from nu-metal band # 1042 is the voice of generation.

Please just leave the thread

Around The Fur was good. White Pony and everything after was hit or miss. I guess they are respected for having lyrics that are vague which is a rarity in nu-metal, but for someone who couldn't care less about lyrics the actual musical content most of the time was lacking.

btw I don't hate them as much as the claim that they are the only good nu-metal band there is. For melodic content I prefer Taproot, in fact the only major criticism I could find for them (outside of stock "they're derivative of other bands" remarks) was that the singer sounds too girly.
