Just finished reading Cosey's autobiography earlier today.
The thing absolutely destroys this "sage-like old hippie" image that P-Orridge has managed to contrive for himself in recent years. Not that it was ever a convincing image to begin with.
Like I've always known that the guy was an egomaniacal liar and attention-seeker, but this book makes it pretty clear that he's just a straight-up sociopath as well. It's a shame that none of the pseudo-transgressive NYC socialites who he's surrounded himself are going to call him out on it.

it's a shame because the early industrial community was a really big thing for the LGBT community and alot of them were ( despite being freaky) were good people and helped each other out. Even I bet Steven S and David tibet and they were amazing. Genesis just kills this shit.

Industrial has been extremely trendy since the late 2000s thanks to the sanitized, fashionable, Tumblr-friendly takes on industrial peddled by record labels such as Posh Isolation, Ascetic House, Sacred Bones etc.

Industrial rock/metal wasn't particularly trendy in the 90s though, despite the presence it had in the mainstream music industry. The likes of Foetus and Godflesh got covered in The Wire and whatnot, but Ministry, NIN, Marilyn Manson and all that other shit was generally regarded as highly uncool teen angst music/Lollapalooza fodder.

That stuff's EBM, not industrial. It's essentially synthpop/acid house with aspects of industrial strewn in.
