My latest, Here Comes Everybody - loosely inspired by Finnegans Wake; the album is cyclical like the book. I Draw from Talk Talk, Tim Buckley, OPN, Tim Hecker, Miles Davis, Ligeti, Aphex, Julia Holter, King Crimson, Slowdive, Can, Eno, and many others - Would love feedback, cheers x

this is dope shit! Honestly some of the best I've found in these threads. If you're ever able to come to Chicago I'd like to book you a show.
chill, but almost too chill, at least for me
pretty good, has a rough edge but that's what makes it especially endearing for me. Fuck yes
There was a while ago where I found music made by mu, but now all I can find is mucoversitaots.bandcamp.com

Working on a new album, hoping to be able to release it in a couple weeks or so
I'm liking the variety of sounds here, the biggest issue I'm hearing is that some of the tracks have some muddy production that I don't particularly care for. Overall good stuff though

Very nice for this style. Dig the clangy distortion. Very pretty without being cheesy and dramatic without being mopey.
I love Joyce so a themed album is right up my alley. I'll definitely be putting this on in the background when I need something chill. Thanks for making it.
I just started a grindcore band called Pissectomy and have 2 songs up. Total edgelord noise nonsense.

dude, track 3 has some insane sounds. love that you can hear every crackle of the banging low notes. with 4 thought it seems to reach maximum volume around 1:30 and stays there for 5 minutes. it definitely drones but i wonder if there can be more of a build throughout.

I like the instrumentation alot. I think maybe the cymbals are a bit harsh, but otherwise very nice.
I think the production could use a bit more, but otherwise its fun and kind of a somber upbeat, which is what i imagine you were going for.

lmao, I'm on this album. Can't believe that was over 3 years ago now. There was a relatively recent Sup Forums covers the beatles project which turned out bretty good.

It's really fun to contribute to these, too bad Hanging Dong died or something.
I remember listening to your last two albums and enjoying them. I listened to this new album a week ago or so, and skimming through it again I think my impressions are more or less the same. You're a good singer and songwriter, but still these songs don't have enough intrigue in the melodies, chords or lyrics alone to really work as bare as they're presented. Again not saying they're bad, but I think they work so much better with your band's usual indie rock/alt-country instrumentation. I just don't see much to gain from having them acoustic (though that might just be me, contrary to what might be expected I generally don't care for when otherwise electric bands go "unplugged"). I assume you kind of just recorded them like that for fun, so I don't mean to be too harsh but those are my thoughts.
Looks like period blood smeared on a wall. Is this a feminist album?
that album art is awful
