listening to music is like playing a video game
or watching a movie
watching gameplays is like watching somebody else watch a movie or listening to somebody else listen to music
in video games you're not actually doing the thing you're just emulating it
just like how when you listen to music you're not actually creating anything but you're still actively participating

okay, i'm gonna take the bait. music consists of more than just listening to it while sitting on your couch or whatever. i just to be in a couple of band projects back in school. i actually made music myself. and i love going to concerts and see people play live music. music as a whole is more than the final song itself
