I 100% agree. Jon is pretty rad, but Bronn is the best motherfucker out there. He'll fuck your wife, then your mom, and then train you how to fight so you can win them back. Dude would win an entire war single handedly and then walk away with gold and not a care in the world. Dude is a fucking OG.

TLDR; He is that nigga

Oberyn > Bronn > The hound > Tyrion > Jon > Tormund > Stannis (before child burning)

Fuck I forgot Tywin, he goes before the hound

You also forgot Wun Wun, who at least belongs on the list

bump

I just think everyone needs to see this photo

agree! wun wun is the shit

I Vote Jamie as one of the best

the hound is a much more interesting char/story than this guy. this guy has no real progression in character. he's the same guy from thr day we see him. it doesn't make him bad, but just obvious and not so interesting.

The hound is the best, arya is second

don't worry, he'll die saving a main character so he can redeem his sinful life and his arc can mercifully end.

The real story is Denarys/John Snow vs. White walkers. Lannisters are just a sideshow and they will get wrecked utterly. Jaime will use his good hand to jack off to Captain Phasma after he turns sides, since his wife is going to be evaporated into Sarah Conner's ground zero nightmare.

The Hound is Lightbringer. When he gets to the wall his true power will be unleashed.

Fire + Ice. The Lord of Light is real, is God, and is the reason that one guy has been brought back to life 4 times or whatever. Every time he is brought back to life, he changes the Hound's path through the world.

Not interesting? Are you half retarded? All this guy does, day in day out, is slay dragons. Dragon coming? Bron coming. Does the hound slay dragons? Nah. Did the Viper ever slay a dragon? nope. An entire continent got its shit pushed in because none of those fuckers over there could even imagine slaying a dragon. Those dragons set one foot in Westeros and who's right there with welcoming smile and a bag of gold? You guessed it mother fucker. Dragon Slayin' Bron.

a whole bunch of those sons of the harpy faggots put spears in a dragon too, on the ground 20' away, not from a machine 100s of feet away

Beric Dondarrion. And it's an interesting theory. Most people thought Jon Snow or Daenerys would be Azor Ahai, but you make some good points about the hound. And Arya didn't kill him when he had the chance, and whether she knows it or not she's all about Rh'ollor at this point
But lightbringer is the sword, you're referring to the promised prince(ss) Azor Ahai

My personal theory is that bran is the lord of light and all of these clever throwbacks so far this season ( and previous seasons) have been bran warging into people to make them say the correct things. Example : dany telling jon to bend the knee to protect his people is exactly the same thing Mance said to Jon, also Dany said something along the lines of "don't let a child pay for the sins of her father", which is very similar to the line Jon said in one of the first episodes to the Karstarks. There has been quite a few very similar lines since then, whether or not it's just D&D being lazy or not idk but I reckon it's bran aka the lord of light.

youtube.com/watch?v=sNcg44FW-jA

Lightbringer *was* a sword.

/ourguy/ right here

I hope this is canon

Euron is gonna stick his fingers in all the bums by the end of the series

>best character the showrunners left us with in got

FTFY, some of the best fucking characters got either cut out completely, or replaced with new characters they made up for no reason.

That Victarion was entirely cut out is damn near criminal. As is another major fucking character I won't mention. I get that adaptations don't exactly follow the source material, but many of the changes they made were fucking retarded & caused me to drop the show entirely.

Bron vs. Euron would be a hell of a fight.

jorah>the hound>bronn>davos>jon

I wish he would stick it in sansas bum but bran probably already saw that

Euron's pretty rad, but he's fighting for the wrong side
He's got no plot armor, and he's really quite fucked at this point. The main characters want him dead, and the Lannisters are going to lose the war. Things look good for him now, but he can't fight dragons

>caused me to drop the show entirely.

better pick it back up since GRRM is dying before finishing the last book. The show is now canon because GRRM cannot survive 10+ years to finish the series.

If you read the spoilers for s7 and 8 it makes sense but ye, not gonna post them cause w/e

You talking about LSH?

I know the ending to the show already, none of it will have been real, it'll just be a new division of Westworld.
That way they can go out on one last big shock, keep using the characters afterwards & skyrocket that show's popularity.

Let's say it's an AT-AT.

aka bran is bran the builder and also the lord of light and has been fucking with everyone from the beginning of the show?

>but he can't fight dragons
>Good thing Bron can. Bron trumps dragons 10 times out of 10

If you haven't, watch Westworld, it'll make sense then. Martin already met with the showrunners there to pitch it. I think he's trying to push the show ending as far away from what he had in mind as possible. HBO would totally be on board though, makes them even more money & GOT doesn't really go away for them after the last season.

*SPOILER WARNING* WHOA some of us chose NOT to read the leaked transcripts for a reason.

there's a bunch of characters missing from the books, young griff, lady stoneheart, patchface, etc

What's the name of the one dude from the citadel who got completely cut out? His name was like the sphinx or the drake or something like that

Fucking lost

>Belwas
>Victarion
>Penny
>Aegon
>Robbs actual wife & kid they killed in the show
>fucking Vargo Hoat
The list keeps growing

how did that end for them?

GRR Marthin already said everyone dies. Every character you like, good or bad, stark or lannister, everyone. Sure the promised prince will put up a good fight and they've got dragonglass and dragons now. But there's about to be no food and winter is coming

Sadly the white walkers win, the last scene is just a bunch of graves

I have watched westworld, unless i'm missing something i'm not sure what you're getting at, explain?

That's overwhelmingly likely to be the books' ending, I wouldn't doubt that at all. Not a chance in hell HBO goes that route when they can keep it going without "really" keeping it going, just change up the premise & hand it off to another creative team, essentially.

It's called foreshadowing. We are seeing the scorpion plunge through a draongskull now, and seeing drogon hit with a bolt now, just to tease us that it's something that could happen. Because it will happen. The dragons, all three, will die before the end of the show. Because everybody dies

TBH I'm rooting for Daenerys but I just want to see dragons fuck shit up in the meantime, it doesn't change what will actually happen my wishing for it.

Westeros world, Westworld's medieval/fantasy offshoot park. That's all it ever was. Big reveal, GOT characters get used in Westworld series for the next 10 years.

nice trips, no fucking chance that's the end of the show surely lmfao, people would be rioting in the streets

indiewire.com/2016/10/game-of-thrones-westworld-crossover-geroge-r-r-martin-jonathan-nolan-1201738623/?_escaped_fragment_=#!

Martin already pitched it.

It makes sense to cut out non-essential characters, though. I honestly doubt George even knows how to tie off half the plot threads he's introduced. They writers shortened the last two seasons because they knew they only had the story left for 13 episodes if they didn't add any filler. Yeah everything kind of feels rushed right now, but the alternative is dragging everything out.

This way they can write a tight, clean ending, whereas there's no guarantee the books will ever be finished. Maybe with fewer characters, each book wouldn't take six years to write.

Arya is still the best. I bet cersei wins.

yeah I heard about that and it could be a "cameo" in westworld but I doubt it will have any relation to the actual got show, that would just ruin it tbh

You all have it wrong. This is the best character.

That's my bitch with these showrunners. This show could've gone on another 5 seasons & still been really fucking good if they hadn't started cutting out such a huge amount of material THEY found 'nonessential'. They burned through the rest they left themselves with at lightspeed, & then had to start adding their own original filler bullshit to not have it end TOO early.
What is & isn't essential is highly subjective, but if you've got so many fans of the source material howling over how much you've excised, a lot of that shit was probably essential.

I sort of wished they just waited 5 years and started got now instead of then, maybe grrm would have an actual fucking ending by then

not to mention that all 3 dragons are supposedly male, so even if they do live, they would be the for real last dragons. Either that, or dragons can reproduce asexually

The ending will be shitty. Captn GRRRRRM has already said he doesn't do nice happy endings, it'll be some totally unsatisfying everyone dies shit, or fucking hotpie ends up king.

We won't know who is or isn't essential until the books are finished, which might never happen. Yeah we could have another five seasons, but would you really want to wait another five years for Dany to come to Westeros? Book pacing and TV pacing are very different.

I already posted the pic I want to reply to you with here

eh the show and books are just different creatures at this point. If you want jesters, zombie catelyn, and a bunch of other characters (when tv audiences already struggle with the weight of 150 names to remember cause they are all important), then just go re-read the books tbh. It's a damn shame but what can you do. To keep the drooling public's attention, even for a short time, they have to cut to the chase. And their abridged version is serving to be wildly popular, far more than anyone could have guessed 10+ years ago, and probably opens the door to other sweeping, epic lengthy fantasy serial books to be made tv shows/movies

Like I said, essential is subjective. A lot of characters they've used, spent a shitload of time with, & then killed off unceremoniously, were they ultimately essential?
There's a lot to be said for feel, immersion, & world/lore building, and they lost a good chunk of that cutting so much out.

...

...

...

It's honestly why I gave up on the show, & won't bother going to see this terrible (by all accounts) attempt at Dark Tower. Not going to bitch at people for enjoying the show, but I invested enough time into both the books & the show where I'll still pop into these kinds of threads to bitch ABOUT it a bit. It is what it is, sadly.

...

I second

Who the fuck would want a happy ending from George Martin?

good list i agree exept id actually throw arya in there somewhere.

anyone here ever read any of martin's other stuff?

she would be up there if s5 wasn't a shit show, i like her character but i feel like s5 was wasted potential for her

...

I third the motion.

Jaime was one of the best warriors before his hand got chopped. Everyone hates him for killing the mad king but he did it to save innocent people because mad king was about to burn them all. Jaime is a good guy.

Actually, Cersei was also Sarah Connor at one time.

Jaime is good when he doesn't let Cersei influence him, but he keeps letting her drag him down. I know it's a common theory, but he's going to have to kill Cersei just like the mad king

Impossibru!

So was Daenerys.

bump

>mfw Podrick survives and becomes king at the end

Why is everyone saying that was the night she got raped? She willingly married Ramsay. Did she think every marriage was like Tyrion's where the bride wasn't expected to actually consummate the marriage on the wedding night?
I understand she didn't want Reek watching, and that later on she was forced.. but why on earth did she expect to not have to have sex on her wedding night and was thus raped?

I love this nigga

Gonna cry like a bitch when this guy dies

No I totally agree at least by show standards she wasn't raped. It's just the fact that Ramsay was was a sick bastard that everyone has a problem with it.

Dany was "raped" in exactly the same way but that's okay because she fell in love with her rapist kek

Game of thrones is too mainstream. I prefer underground shit like clutch capacity and devil beyond the wall.

was nude cersei a body double again this season?

what a bitch that actress is, to insist on a body double while everyone else does their own nude scenes. like she's so fucking important, such a major star its beneath her

body double, she has a lot of tattoo's apparently.

doesn't she actually die in the 6th book?(when it's finaly released lul)

>best character in got btw

Not anymore....

well its super easy to digitally remove tattoos for a sfx group like got has, so thats not a factor

Ikr? It pisses me off when people (including the showrunners) compare Arya's and Sansa's journeys in terms of what they had to go through.

>Jaime was one of the best warriors before his hand got chopped. Everyone hates him for killing the mad king but he did it to save innocent people because mad king was about to burn them all. Jaime is a good guy.
SPOILER, the fuck do you think he's going to do about cersei backstabbing job/dany when the nightking(aka icebran) comes a knocking?

Not sure why people think he died. He was moving around in the water.

I mean, the battle that happened tonight wasn't that the majority of the Lannister men + Tarly's men + ALL the grain to feed Cersei's armies? I feel like all they have left is Euron's guys and then it's gg

I was sure he'd finally die this episode, he's more than outlived his purpose and I can't see a satisfactory ending with him escaping Daenerys forces alive
>Jaime and Bron captured by Danny, time for cersei to fuck euron while he's gone gents

Carice Van Houten should do porn!

I think she was pregnant when they filmed her walk of shame, so that would justify a body double. None of the major characters do actual nude scenes anymore, anyway. Now the actors are big enough that they can choose not to do them. I heard even Dany's nude scene last season used a body double, even though she's done them before.

The hound is the shit.

I loved Drogo too, but nigga didn't stick around long...

yeah arya hasn't even put out yet

they better show us her tits and/or ass before the show ends. she's not underage anymore.

Agreed. Best character arc hands down.

>I mean, the battle that happened tonight wasn't that the majority of the Lannister men + Tarly's men + ALL the grain to feed Cersei's armies? I feel like all they have left is Euron's guys and then it's gg
Euron will get ass fucked before the end of the season.

I want to see a hot lesbian scene between Cerci and Dany. Both John and Jamie can Friend Zone 'til they suck each other off in desperation. Can you get gray-scale from sucking cock?

maybe she's just a stuck up little bitch like those girls that think they're hiding something when they cover up their nipples in nudes

it's also easy af to make Dany's eyes purple with digital magic or even contacts but they didn't do that.

There's no way that was a majority of their army. Even last episode showed way more soldiers than that. They were also bringing food for all of King's Landing, so I doubt those carts were anything close to all of it.
