My latest, Here Comes Everybody - loosely inspired by Finnegans Wake; the album is cyclical like the book. I draw from Talk Talk, Tim Buckley, OPN, Tim Hecker, Miles Davis, Ligeti, Aphex, Julia Holter, King Crimson, Slowdive, Can, Eno, and many others - Would love feedback, cheers x

I like to pretend I make shitty video game music, the video game part I mean, not the shitty part there's no pretending there
How you guys come up with music?
I think there needs to be rule in these threads that if you post something you need to leave at least one piece of feedback on someone's shit
all these threads just end up being a big shill fest

what do you mean? if youre trying to get into making music either download a daw and watch some tutorials or learn an instrument and get some recording gear

I know its a habit but stop posting music on soundcloud. That company has been consistently losing since its beginning. If it doesn't implode by next year it will be sold to some other company.

I don't love rock but this is good.
As long you have fun it doesn't matter.
Who made the music video. Cause its amazing.
get a daw (i personally use fl studio), record your drums, learn how to add instruments (harmonies and melodies) learning music theory helps a lot, you could do it by ear but it runs the risk of sounding like shit if you weren't born with talent in making music.. it really all depends on what genre you're going for this is a really broad question your asking lol

Hey, thx for the rec on my beattape. I loved your stuff, that keyboard gave me a Mac DeMarco vibe. I like the emotion on your voice, just need a little better mixing. And maybe some outro or small bridge would've helped, to refresh the ear. But overall, really great stuff bro keep it up.
I'm not him, but TanteiSakana (this obscure podcast channel) made a Sonichu OST. No idea what genre it is, but there's lots of heavy drum hits, quirky synths, and irregular rhythms.

Hey everyone! It's been a while, but I've been working on a new song. Planning on releasing it this Friday.
Until then, here is my latest synth pop song. Thanks for checking it out :)
Recs:
Ayyyy Chicago represent! I did how raw your tracks are. Zigguart's bass sick and ominous. asleep has nice development of the themes you went with.
Really like the variety of music you put out. The contrast between The Encounter and Hi is great!
Really enjoyed 8th Sense, nice chord choices and melodic lines.
OP from this , in the song I recorded 3 layers, 2 were edited layers of guitar, both for ambiance and the 'fade in and outs'. Another layer for piano/keyboard.
