Do you guys make your own album art? If yes, please link your page and maybe explain some of the bought process that went into the design please.

The first track was really shitty (I figured it was purposefully) but the second one seems to be nice.
I'll keep listening.

I actually make entire booklets for my releases. A lot of it is photo manipulation of photos I've taken but there's also some practical effects in there. I like to use dirty paper to get graininess that is not digital to my artwork.

Oh that's really cool. I love liner notes. I'll check your stuff out

I think the artwork and all the extras are what turns a release into a full work of art.
Also, it's more fun to make small limited editions than to just release everything digitally.

idk, some albums i only make them bc is funny like the reggaeton/noise new album but some of my albums are loved by me, i spent weeks thinking about the album cover for those loved albums

(pic related, it almost was an album cover but it doesn't fit well the music atmosphere)

Pic related.

A lil melodramatic lol

That's what drinking absinthe for weeks does to you.

1st track was something i made a few years ago when i first started writing music. i was accidentally high on 25i and tried to conceptualize what an old croaking woman singing proto-worship music to herself would sound like. thanks for listening! hope you enjoy the rest

Art, and the creation of it, is by nature melodramatic. There is no need to make art at all. It is superfluous to being, and yet we still produce it.

Thanks for the answer. Your music sounds like something out of a "mu makes an album" thread.

yeah, i know, a lot of music genres mixed in one bandcamp page

Yikes alcoholism =/= art

Also yikes

>Yikes alcoholism =/= art

I was just being melodramatic. :^)

u mean exaggerating? not quite sure u understand that word

Anyone know what happens after the 200 free/name-your-price downloads on bandcamp?
Do your free albums suddenly cost $1 (or some price other than 0) or do they become unavailable till the next month?

They will then cost a certain amount. I think it's 7 bucks. You can edit the album afterwards and change it to 1 dollar.

this happened to me, for 5 months i had to set my albums to 1 dollar but for some reason today i have another 200 free downloads so i set my most recent albums to 0

i think at some point bandcamp take away your 200 free downloads bc somebody downloaded 198 times one of my albums, who the fuck does that?

anyone still here

in the middle of a move still.

i believe criticizing art for being melodramatic or pretentious is totally valid, thinking art is exempt from that is real self important. not saying what was criticized is, just that the argument used in defense is goofy

tru but people in pain do tend to make better art

talk to bandcamp. there's a download bug. requiring an email address helps, but i don't feel like doing that

least you could do if you're going to take rec is not do the three most recent in a row

be confident

more people should listen to this

going to repeat what I said a while ago - your output when you take your time and really hone what you're trying to create is really good, but just unloading a bunch of content like you have been lately makes me not want to even listen. if you're tired of making music stop burning yourself out. if you took the 3-4 albums of mostly mediocre material you've put out lately, narrowed it to the top 8-13 tracks, and focused on recording them well and mixing mastering, you could have something to be proud of. as is I couldn't care less

Yeah, I know what you mean. To the overall knowledge - I do not intend on continuing much in 2017/2018 so it's a last straw for a while. Doing for what it's worth it seemed better to put them out there rather than torturing myself with something which only brings me bad memories and shit. But I do saw your point of view before and my feelings haven't changed a bit in regards to that.

By the way, any anons around would like some first impressions written to you by a Generic Ambient Guy #15125236?

My ears cant focus on so many things at once, everyone posting music hear please fix your mixing if you'd like to have a bigger audience. Too many things are clashing and I wonder if anyone looked at a Graphical EQ at all while in production. Tons of talent just needs better mixing

Literally just released a new album, hope you guys can check it out and let me know what you think of it! I do return feedback if given!

This was slightly unnerving in its atmosphere, those glitchy vocal samples are very surreal under those intense synths.

Nice shoegaze, guitars sound great with those melodies floating over the heavy textures. Nearly borders on blackgaze with those screams.

This was quite like early-Interpol stuff, really cool guitar work and the vocals were very fitting. Looking forward to more.
