Congratulations you are fucking PLEB and boring like the rest of Sup Forums

get some actually unique taste

>My music is better because it is more obscure.

Surely you can see how much of a twat this makes you?

I mean as in listen to more than just what Sup Forums listens to

You can like popular stuff, but if your taste consists entirely of popular stuff, then you deserve every critiques you're gonna get for it.
What's the point of only droning over top-rated and overdiscussed stuff when you can find so much more interesting music just by searching a little.

I've been on Sup Forums for about a month now.
Thoughts?

explore more

Sure you have a point but some people latch on to albums particularly popular in Sup Forums because they're all so critically acclaimed and actually good albums.
So when it comes to actually define what their taste is, they might reference all these pleb fucking albums and nothing that they are listening to as a result of that.
Feel like it's not even a taste issue, it's a ranking issue. Patricians rank the most interesting shit they're listening to, plebs rank the music that honestly inspired them no matter how popular.

This guy should include more shit basically.

It is possible to have taste which doesn't touch on anything from the essentials too, there is so much fucking amazing music out there.

I've never been on Sup Forums
Thoughts?

I've been on Sup Forums since early 2014.

How have I done?

Approaching a year and my taste has gone full circle. I used to like a lot of obscure stuff but I really just like this now

Best CAN album imo

Wouldnt even be able to tell youve been on mu for any period of time because your taste seems unifluenced by meme albums

The concept of Musical "patricians" was only and ever should be reserved for those who can independently articulate why they either like or dislike an album. However, it obviously does help to have a high keen in music and seeing as how rewarding deeper exploration of genres and labels are it's highly encouraged to find more obscure music.

I think what's interesting is GAS is in your top 4. I love Pop, although I've never seen anyone consider it a top 10 album.

I've been on Sup Forums for even less time, probably only 6 months, so I can't give an accurate comment on the chart's quality, but it looks solid from my perspective.

>bleep
>bleep
>bleep
>suddenly IRON MAIDEN \m/

Liked the mollusk so much you put it in twice huh.

>oversteps
>saw

also op, nice to see pop in your top 4. i have it in my top 10 too.

Not really looking for recs, just rate and personality pls

good taste

I'm sorry almost lazyposted by accident

I'm liking some of your albums, like Kid A, Madvillain, Eno, Slowdive, Powers that B, loveless, davis, Kendrick, but I feel like you could branch out a lot more, especially in Jazz.

Do you know the hip-hop album Nas - Illmatic?
Also, Pharoah Sanders - Love in us All.

sry don't like anything of urs

>Jazz Meets India
MAI NIGGA
you've done well just for that

you have a lot idk but I like Can and the Doors and Grouper and Dopethrone and Eno and Ra and Love and Tempel and funkadelic and tangdream

I guess I'm not that into dad rock. You have some interesting choices for sure.

I think your taste in jazz is decent but you should try some other Monk albums. My favourite is 'alone in san fransisco'.

>Morcheeba
I listened to it once and thought it was ok

hey user, I like your Miles, Bjork, TMR, velocity:design:comfort, and your Coltrane. I think you could have done a lot worse for yourself.

Compared to normies, the second lowest quartile on Sup Forums for obscurity is already far too obscure for them. Have a heart senpai

I've been here about 3 months, but I've been trying to get into non-classical and non-video game music for about 7 or 8.

havent heard a lot of it desu but definitely some goodies
good to see legend on here - seems to be excluded by a lot of people cos its a compilation or because its popular, undeniably a solid collection of songs though

been here 2 years now

i know i'm awful

I've been here for about a year now. I feel as if I should've listened to more.

There's good shit sprinkled all throughout here 7/10

I don't listen to much bleeps. You might like Orbital or Flying Lotus.

Why do you let an internet website dictate your music taste? How pathetic.

hey pop, nice trips

don't let anyone tell u how to be and wut to listen to mkay?
U R COOLIO NO MATTER WAT

been here 3 or 4? genuinely don't know.

I don't really know what to listen to next, recs are welcome.

some good stuff in these charts

I've been on Sup Forums 7 years
I've been posting in these threads 5 years

It's a little depressing honestly having seen so many people in these threads come and go and I'm still right here
Everybody eventually stops being a loser and moves on from this place

I really need to start listening to new music but whenever I put on an album I feel like I should be doing something else but beyond work and school I have literally nothing to do all day yet I still feel guilty about it
I feel like I'm too emotionally invested in music as a whole to the point where I just want nothing to do with it because it just makes me feel like ass whenever I look at my instrument or all 400 gigs of the stupid shit I have on my hard drive and realize I'll never really be a music type of dude

fuck me up

almost put gt ultra on there
swell maps
culprate
soft machine, magma, arti e mestieri

I think we'd hit it off p good my nigga, listen to A New Place 2 Drown, same guy as King Krule but under his real name.

I've had thoughts since 2020.
Sup Forums?

kek

What the fuck have you even been doing in a year you pleb

been here regrettably long, recs welcome

Could you drone Sup Forums harder?

How exactly am I doing that, user?

C.A Quintet - Trip Thru Hell
Ultimate Spinach - Galaxea
The Machine - Solar Corona

Maybe you'd find Acid Mothers Temple interesting. Acid Mothers Temple & the Melting Paraiso U.F.O., La NĂ²via and Pataphisical Freak Out MU!! are all great.

What are you eventually thinking?

You seem like an absolute friend. Low-Life and XTC represent.
I just listened to In Absentia for the first time a couple days ago, bretty gud. Also this chart is just beautiful visually, thanks for that.
Never seen Spirit Phone in a chart thread but thats actually a solid choice.

Top row are all time favorites, rest of the chart is in no particular order.

That's for them to know and uh... for me to eventually find out.
Nice chart, btw.

Thanks for the color gradient idea!
Interested to know why thats your favorite tfb record
always happy to see Taeko Ohnuki love

...
